Few days passed, another news spread to all werewolf packs.
Another so-called victim of the beast spread like wildfire. The whole family of Lycan was massacred, brutally killed like always.
Lily was written on the father's body, the children were chopped like meat, while the woman was outside and her clothes scattered everywhere. The last part was an unusual thing this beast did today. Before, the beast neither killed a woman nor did something to a woman. All it killed was Lycan’s male who did or almost did something bad to the other pack. Even if it was the case, the beast still at fault for the king, and the Lycans were the victim.
So suspicious but they still believe that the beast did it. They still believed the rumors without any proof since they didn’t know this killer. If a friend or a foe.
Because of this, all packs became conscious and always on alert. They trained their warrior, intensely, because of this bad news.
Even the Blood Rose Stone Pack trained their warriors the way Chiara wanted them to be. They almost worked day and night, they were always exhausted but Chiara won’t stop.
“Move your *ss!” she screamed to those who stopped in the middle of the course she made herself. She was holding a timer and taking every minute they took. It's the worst record they have because of tiredness.
“With all due respect, Alpha. Our warriors also need some rest. They were all exhausted and cannot carry on with this anymore." Beta Brandon bowed his head after he spoke softly to his Alpha. He was also afraid of Alpha’s punishment.
All of them were afraid of her when it came to training. She also did it to them before. They all gave up and the Beta requested to take over, suggesting they needed to do the basics first before the hard work.
“Really? Do they need to rest? A month is not enough?” She glared at the Beta and the warriors, who bowed their heads in shame.
They knew their Alpha was disappointed. After their month of training with Beta Brandon, instead of becoming stronger, they became weak. Their stamina easily dissipated by just the same course as before. They procrastinate when they don't see their Alpha.
“I am sorry, Alpha.” Brandon kneeled, ready for the punishment. He knew he made the wrong choice when he asked her to take over. “I am at fault. I will take all the punishment you will give to me."
Chiana just glared at him and let him kneeled to the ground. She never said if he could stand up, so he stayed still.
“Your choice, run this course five more times or I will let you walk to the Lycans territory and let them chase you. Maybe with that, you will know how to move faster. Maybe there, you will realize that what you've been through was not enough to defeat them.” She looked at them, saying she’s serious. Everyone shivered when they heard the last part.
What she said, made sense to them. They saw how vicious the Lycans were. But how about a few more years? Maybe they became the worst of all. They couldn’t fight them with their state today.
“What? Choose!” she said then left them there.
She wanted them to realize what they did wrong. She already did her part, it was their turn this time.
“Alpha,” Delta Cross greeted her. Someone was being dragged by two of the Delta’s people. “We found an intruder on our territory.”
Chiara saw what race he was. She smirked.
“A new entertainment then.” Delta bowed but never said a word. After Alpha Chiara took over the role of the Alpha, everyone became aware of their action and words. She was strict and a devil in terms of training. She won't stop until you pass out because of exhaustion.
She was also the torturer. She got her happiness by inflicting pain on others, especially their enemies. They were all aware of this. However, she’s a good Alpha that always thought about them.
“I'll put him in the dark room, Alpha.”
“Good. I will go there later. I'll just wear my proper clothes. I need to unleash some streams.” She smirked again and left them while humming a happy song. It may sound like a happy song, but others who heard them think it is their death sound.
The prisoner trembled. He felt afraid after hearing her sang. He felt that the grim reaper was already waiting for him.
“P-please, let me go,” she said, stammering. “I will give you anything, just give me a chance to live.”
“I'm sorry. Only our Alpha has the right to do that." The man heard the voice from his right.
He was blindfolded so he couldn’t see anything, or who they were. He couldn’t smell them because they poured a powder on his nose that enabled him to smell. But he felt grass on his feet, the sound of birds and flowing water, and the fresh air. He felt that he was already in another dimension. He could feel that it was a paradise.
But, he won't say it again after he experiences the wrath of the Alpha towards his kind. He was also one who attacked Chiara’s family, so it was just right for him to experience it.
The next time he knew, his hand was tied up while he was standing. Then they tore his clothes and left him there in the cold. He shivered when he felt no one around him. He was alone and didn’t know what will happen next. He was afraid again.
When Delta Cross walked back, they met the Alpha halfway. They all bowed down to show their respect.
“He is already ready for you, Alpha,” said Delta Cross with all respect.
“Good. But that’s not what I want to ask."
“What is it, Alpha?" Delta looked at her this time with curiosity.
“It is about my sister. Any news?" she hopefully asked him. Everyone could see how she was expecting some good news but eventually vanished when she heard what the Delta replied.
“I am sorry, Alpha.” He bowed again. He didn't want her to be angry. He didn't want to join that filthy Lycan in the torture room. “I already asked people I knew on every pack, except White Fang Pack who have few members and no one can live, but no one saw them. We tried to track them again, but there's no track anymore. It seems like they didn’t excess in here. But we all know that they are all still alive.”
They both thought about where they could all go. One of the warriors lifted his hand, he was asking permission to speak.
“Speak!”
“What if they are not here? What if they went to the human land for their safety?” He voiced out that made them nod their head.
Guslar was the only place they never searched for her sister. Chiara was disturbed by this fact. Guslar is a big place for them to find.
“Maybe yes, maybe no. We can not tell. But for now, let’s do what we had planned.” She waved her hand to dismiss them.
“Yes, Alpha!” They bowed down and left her.
Chiara continued to her destination a little distracted. She never knew a person was looking at her. It smirked because this person thought of a new plan on how to make the fierce Alpha bow to him.
While Chiara walked inside a dark house. It was made of thick woods so that children won’t see what’s inside. It was also on the end of the paradise, dark and eerie, so no one would come there.
She smirked when she saw the state of the man. He was trying to escape but their rope was made of silver, the weakness of a werewolf. He couldn’t untie himself.
“Useless," she softly said. She touched all the things that were hanging on the wall. She was confused about what she will use to make this man feel the pain her family had felt.
“W-who are y-you?” he stuttered while his body was trembling in fear. He was just waiting for some prey a while ago, but now, he was tied up and didn't know what this woman will do to him.
“You do not have the honor to know my name. It is too precious for a dog like you to know it.” A wolfish grin appeared on her lips when she saw the tools she needed.
She remembered he was one of the men who molested her mother. She gritted her teeth when she remembered who this man was. Her anger worsened.
“I will let you feel what you did to other people.”
Then she approached the man who was shivering with a bat in her hand. This bat is not like a usual bat but is made of wood and spikes of nails.
It will surely be fun for Chiara. A bloody one.
Afternoon came, Chiara was standing again on the side of the river. Feeling nothing. She felt empty even after what she did to that man.
She tortured him and gave him the pain he deserved for his sin. She enjoyed herself torturing him.
So, why was she feeling this way? This question kept on playing inside her head.
After she disposed of him, she cleaned herself and went to this river. Only this place could calm her down. She was afraid to hurt any of her pack members, so she hid all her emotions.
She took a small stone, with just a breath, she threw it into the river. It bounced for how many times, a beautiful view, but for Chiara it was nothing. She kept on throwing but she still felt empty. She felt prostrated.
“Ahhh!” she screamed while throwing all the stone she picked up. “I will kill you! All of you! You will pay for what you all did! I will make sure of it!”
The whole place was filled with her scream. She poured all her resentment into her scream.
All of this was seen by her mate, Angelique. She never knew why she did it, but she could say, somehow, that they felt the same way.
She felt sad knowing her mate was like that. She wanted to comfort her, but was she ready? She didn’t know what to do but to look at her.
After her tantrums, she took off all her clothes and swum into the river. She kept on doing it, back and forth until she got tired.
Chiara closed her eyes while lying on the stone. The wind blew on her face, comforting and chilling her down.
