After a small meeting, Angelique prepared herself. She doesn't know if she will come back alive but she will make sure that no one will be alive to tell the story.
She wore her black overall and equipped herself with some weapons like small knives, a gun, and a few small bombs. She didn’t forget her mask because it was her way to hide her real identity, that she was Angelique and she survived that dreadful night. She wanted to surprise her ‘dearest’ father.
The kids knew she would be going somewhere but they never knew where. She never told them so they won’t worry. She’s the only one who can do this.
She took out a small pouch and made sure it was safe. She tied it up in her pocket so she would not lose it.
Both guys just looked at her when she was done and left. Looked at her back with contemplation in their eyes and they were worried for her survival. They wanted to stop her because it was not needed but she kept on insisting that she never trusts people so she needs real evidence.
“We just have to believe in her,” Serio said while sighing.
“That’s the only thing we can do for now,” said Conor who was also worried for the woman who gave him another chance to serve his people.
“We have to prepare a backup plan if it doesn't work.” Serio nodded on Conor’s suggestion.
Meanwhile, Angelique, also known as Lily, swiftly moved in jumping on tree after tree. She made sure she didn’t make any noise so that they would not catch her.
Her first destination was the old pack of Kimberly, Blood Rose Stone Pack. She needed to put the device she bought so she could get evidence in the future.
The computer was still not introduced in Arcadia and they were the first pack who used it because she’s human before. It was really an advantage on their part.
There are so many reasons why the werewolves didn’t know about this wonderful creation of humans. They’re in remote rural areas that’s why not many packs knew about this. Also, the king prohibited them to go to Guslar saying it was dangerous. They have rules that they need to follow before going to this so-called devil place for them.
When Angelique arrived in the pack, she didn’t see as many patrols as before. She closed her eyes and used her senses to detect how many people were there.
But her brow furrowed when she felt a few warriors remained in the pack. She noticed many movements going in the other direction. It was like they were going in the direction of their old pack.
“Why are we here if there’s a celebration in the main pack?” an irritated voice said to her companion.
Angelique hastily hid herself and her presence. Some can detect her if she lets it out. It was the safest thing she could do in order to survive tonight.
Now, she understood why there’s only a few of them here and many of them left the place. Seems like a big celebration happening in the Lycan Blood Pack. She kept quiet and listened more.
“We can’t do anything. We are mandated to secure the territory or we will suffer the consequences.” A guy with a cigarette in his hand sighed after saying it. He also wanted to join the celebration and eat delicious food that is only prepared once in a blue moon.
“Yeah. We are just lowly warriors while the high ranker received all the glory, from money to women. It is so unfair.” He tsked and got his own cigarette.
“We don’t have a choice. Follow them or be killed.” He lit up his friend’s cigarette. “Let’s go. We need to look around.”
They both left and went in another direction to patrol. Angelique didn’t react but she was relieved knowing she had a great opportunity to install all the devices.
She saw the packhouse. No patrol in the area and the windows were open. She sensed the place first if there’s any device that can detect an intruder but it was just a plain house.
She jumped to the window and went inside. She made sure that her landing was soundless.
The first room she went to was a master’s bedroom. She didn’t have time to admire the surroundings and put all the mini hidden cameras. It will directly send all the video to their computer.
She hid it on the corner that no one could see. The time she turned it on, Conor and Serio could see what was happening to the other side.
They were relieved to see Angelique putting on all the mini cameras with ease. No one could be seen in every camera she put. It seemed like no one was there.
She also put cameras on the office, library, the hallway, some of the room, kitchen, receiving area, and some places outside. It was not a hard task for her since no one was around.
When she knew that she was far away from the enemy and no one was around, she turned on her spy earpiece. It was connected to the computer in their pack.
“I’m on my way to Lycan Blood Pack. Prepare the backup.” She’s referring to the team secretly trained by Serio. Their training was like how he trained Angelique but even though they’re mostly men, they couldn’t compare with Angelique. She learned to use her werewolf power faster and more efficiently than them.
“Please, be careful!” She didn’t answer Conor and just turned it off. But she turned on the camera on her mask so they would know her situation.
She didn’t tell them about the party because she knew they would disagree with her. It was dangerous because many people were in the pack at that time.
But if you look at this on the other side, you will realize that it was a perfect time. Everyone is in one place and many people can be the suspect and you can easily sneak in and out.
Conor and Serio’s eyes got wider when they saw what was happening when Angelique arrived in the Lycan’s packhouse. Many warriors were patrolling around the place and some of them have the crest of the palace warrior.
Conor and Serio cursed and wanted Lily to pull back. But they couldn’t do anything because it might put Lily in danger. They just stayed still and prayed for the Moon Goddess to guide their Alpha.
They saw how Lily went inside without anyone sensing her. They didn’t know how she knew the house if it was the first time she went there.
But for Lily, it was easy. She saw the house when she was dreaming about her grandfather and her semen donor. She knew every nook of this place and there’s nothing changed.
She knew a small passageway on the back of the big house. She went there and she was delighted that it was still there. Even Conor who lived almost his whole life there never knew that there was a door there.
The passageway was dark but she saw everything clearly. Both guys who were watching the whole thing, their eyes got wider again. Many hidden treasures for generations were there but it was full of dust. It appeared that the Alpha didn’t know about this.
“Sh*t! If we get that, we will be wealthy all our lives.” Conor knew it was a joke but he didn’t like it. It was the real heirloom of the Lycans family.
“That will be directly owned by the Alpha, so don’t think about that,” he seriously said.
“Woah! I was joking. I know about that. We Fang also have our own heirloom. We knew how it felt when they took our treasure. I really know.” He was pertaining to the King who forced them to pass over their treasure. Most of their treasure has the power to heal that was why it was taken from them.
Conor also felt sad for his friend. He was just thankful that they didn’t know about this place. The place was hidden in the attic, which is why no one knows where it was.
Lily slowly went out and put cameras there. In the staircase, where it shows all the angles in the stairs, she put one too.
She sensed every room and everything was empty. Everyone was outside, celebrating with the King and other Alpha under the command of the King. She could hear their voices of praises to the King who provided the feast today.
She didn’t mind them and did her task on hand. She already felt hot with her mask on and the place was not comfortable. Any minute, they could find her so she needed to finish this task faster.
She put cameras in important places, even in the basement. For the outside, she just stuck four cameras on the wall. It could show the surroundings already since it was on the top floor.
When she was in the basement already, she heard movement outside. She didn’t walk thoroughly inside because the prisoners might make noises when they saw her. It was not safe at all.
She planned to go back where she came from but she stopped when she heard many movements going inside. They’re singing and happily talking with each other.
“Sh*t!” she cursed when she saw that there’s no other way for her to come out.
She turned on her spy earpiece to know if Conor and Serio have any idea how she can come out alive.
“The cameras were on but we can see that all the way was occupied. They already went in because the party was over. The guard will be coming back any minute now,” Serio spoke first.
“As far as I know, there’s no other way there because it was made so no one can escape.” Even Conor felt frustrated because there’s no way out.
“Okay. I will find my way. Just tell me where they are.” She took her knife and was ready to fight. She took one step to come out and was ready to kill a guy whose back was facing her.
But out of nowhere, a hand suddenly appeared then it grabbed and pulled her back. She almost stabbed the person when her reflexes were not good. It was a woman, signing her to keep quiet.
“Come with me,” a voice echoed inside Lily’s mind. Her eyes got wider but calmed down when she realized who she was.
“Where are we going?” she asked in their telepathy.
“Inside. My spirit wolf told me to help you out here. This is the only way for you to come out.” Lily was grateful that she came but also got confused.
“It will be dangerous if we walk inside. The prisoners will make noises.”
“Don’t worry. I put them all to sleep.” With that, Lily followed her.
Many may doubt her but Lily believed in her. Rea told her that she’s a kind girl and she will help her in the future. Also, her instinct told her that she’s the help.
They walked farther inside and she was telling the truth. Everyone was asleep like they felt no pain anymore. She felt sorry for them but she couldn’t do anything for now.
“Here. Push that bed aside and you will see a man-made hole. It will lead you outside of this pack if you keep ongoing. Don’t look back and just go.” Lily nodded with understanding.
She went inside a small empty prison cell. She pushed the bed as the woman instructed, and then she really saw a small hole. She was surprised because she never thought there was one of these.
“It was made by one of the prisoners before. Now, go! They’re here now!”
“Thank you! Call me if you need help too. I will come to your rescue,” she said, then she crawled inside and never looked back the way she wanted.
The woman smiled then she pushed the bed back with her power. Then, when she was sure that everything was in place, she just vanished into thin air.
There are spiders, worms, and many more insects inside the small tunnel. But Lily didn’t care for it and continued crawling. It was a long tunnel and will make you tired but she was motivated to survive.
After ten minutes of crawling, she finally made it out. She was shocked when she saw where she was. She knew this place because this is where she also woke up after the accident five years ago.
She was back to the small, already destroyed, the cabin of her grandfather. She realized now who made that tunnel.
“Grandpa, thank you!” she whispered and looked at the tomb that she made for her grandfather.
When was the last time she visited her grandfather? A year ago? She forgot already.
