Mary's POV

as i sit across from Nikki i don't know where to start "Mary it's okay just take a deep breath and tell me what has been going on if you just want to do cliff notes for now and get into more detail later on down the line that is fine too as alpha you are not required to tell me anything if you do not think it i need to know" Nikki says to me i know she wants to know what is bothering me but she doesn't want to force it either i take a deep breath 'Mary you have to tell her and tell her everything you don't have to go into detail but she needs to know the royals will be here in 3 days and she will be told by strangers in a trial setting tell her now so when the royals get here she will not be blind sided' Jewel tells me i am so thankful to hear her voice she hasn't spoken to me since we found Nikki in her room with my brother i think she feels as guilty as i do we made a blood oath to keep Nikki and Ava safe and because we were too busy with our mate we failed, we failed our friend i take a deep breath and decide it is time to put on my big girl panties okay here it goes "okay Nik i not going to go into much detail right now but eventually we will so here it goes..... first off i need to apologize it is my fault this happened to you if i would have been a better friend and not so caught up with Kaden you would have never been hurt for that i am deeply sorry and just know Jewel and i will never forgive ourselves for what happened to you and for what the boys went through you were already unconscious when we found you and the boys ran in and seen you covered in blood i tried to keep them out of the room but they got past Myra and Kaden when i realized the boys were there i had Kaden take them away as soon as possible second when we Myra and i got your distress call, her and her guards shimmered in my room we were all running to your room when we passed my parents they must have just walked by your room when i pushed them aside and kicked down your door i had my brother and parents placed under arrest for their crimes and i over threw my parents and took the alpha title my brother was arrested for his crimes against you and my parents were arrested for knowing about the crimes my brother was committing and doing nothing about it and trying to help him for these crimes i have had them chained in the cells since that night and they have been getting daily beatings from myself or other guards loyal to me" i have to stop and take a deep breath admitting i have been punishing my family daily with beatings is hard to admit to her but i can't bring myself to also tell her the worst part and that is i have enjoyed every punishment i hand out hell i don't just enjoy it i f*****g love it beating 3 people who brought Nikki and i so much pain is the best damn high i have ever felt i look at her and she has tears rolling down her face she is shaking and can't seem to take her eyes off of me Nikki goes to open her mouth but i quickly raise my hand with that one simple gesture she instantly shuts her mouth "i am not done Nikki i just needed to take a breathe...... okay a few days ago while i was walking to the cells to being my brother's punishment your old bully Kathy came running up to me at first i was just going to ignore her but she said something had happened to Vanessa as you know i really didn't like her either but as alpha i must investigate anything that happens in my pack Kathy took my to Jason's old room and there i found Vanessa lying in a pool of blood she was killed by brother the same day he attached you... he... he confessed to hitting her very hard she must have hit the corner of his desk when she fell from the hit he never even bothered to check on her, her parents demanded a full autopsy be performed we discovered that my brother was beating her regularly she has bruises, scrapes, and cuts all over her body she used make up to cover up the proof he was hurting her we also interviewed her former mate he is an omega not very strong we learned that the day Vanessa found her mate my brother became enraged he beat the poor guy almost to death and then he proceeded to beat Vanessa until she was forced to reject her mate Jason then r***d Vanessa in front of her mate to stake his claim on her after that he never seen Vanessa again the autopsy also showed that.... that..... that Vanessa was pregnant with my brother's child.. his daughter she was 5 months along her parents and i have come to conclusion that she was afraid to tell Jason in fear what he would do when he found out i had her room searched and we found money she had saved up as well as a plane ticket to Italy and a letter to her parents explaining what Jason had been doing to her for all of these years that she was pregnant with his daughter but feared that if she stayed she would be putting her child at risk too in the letter she said she was going to stay with family but she wouldn't say who because she didn't want Jason finding her and her child but she would write often to let them know she was okay she was supposed to leave that night but she never made it, Jason drugged himself before attacking you and Vanessa with some type of drug that basically kept Killian from having any type of control Jason knew if he was going to do this to you he had to take Killian out of the mix or else his wolf would have never let anything bad happened to you because of Jason and my parents crimes many people have left the red moon pack some feel i am to young to look after the pack some think a woman can not be a proper alpha others blame me for my families crimes claiming i knew everything my brother did and i like my parents hid his transgressions against the female members of this pack because of these reasons red moon has dwindled down to 500 members many of the business deals we have held with other packs are have been canceled or contracts null and void members who were loyal to my parents tried to break my parents and brother out of containment but Kaden and his warriors were stronger they killed many of them the others i banished and they are now rouges.... Myra went back to the royal court and reported everything back to the king and queen they are on their way here now with many of their guards also the future king their son will also be here they are going to be doing a full investigation into the red moon, my life, and my family's crimes if they find anything they don't like they may disband the red moon pack and take it over there is no telling in what will happen for sure Myra and i have been keeping in touch and according to her she can not see red moons future and even if she could she can not tell me what will come of it...... and the final thing your father's family came here looking for you hoping to see you and the twins i forbid them from stepping in this room and or coming near you or those boys i hope you are not upset about my choice to keep them far away from you 3 i felt if they really cared about you guys they would have reached out to you long before all of this i felt it was weird that after all of this time they had nothing to do with you or the twins they never even claimed you as family but all of a sudden you get attacked by the alpha's son and now they are a loving and worried family.................... so... yeah that's all of it in nutshell i know that was maybe a little too much information for you so soon but i had to tell you before the royals got here i needed you to hear it from me and not strangers" i take a deep breathe and exhale a part of me feels horrible for unleashing all of that info on her so fast only a few hours after she woke up but it had to be done another part of myself feels lighter for finally getting everything off of my chest i have been keeping everything bottled up inside i haven't even told my mate everything that's been happening behind closed doors i trust the man completely and there's no doubt he is the love of my life but i couldn't tell him i didn't want to be seen as the weak female alpha who runs to her big warrior mate to solve all of her problems i can't be that person if i did i would never get the respect i need from my pack and fellow alphas i glance and Nikki and she seems to be in a daze she's not crying she's not mad she is just frozen "Nikki are you okay" i say while i touch her cheek she quickly snaps out of her daze and flinches away from me quickly standing up she wipes a stray tear and looks me dead in the eye "i am going to go and take a shower then your taking me to the cells i need to talk to Jason and your parents" she turns to walk to the bathroom i jump up from the hospital bed and i am ready to protest i don't want her anywhere near those people "Nikki wait this isn't a good" i am suddenly stopped mid sentence with a loud scream from Nikki "GOD DAMN IT MARY SHUT THE f**k UP I AM GOING TO SEE THEM WITH OR WITHOUT YOU DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME I DON'T GIVE A FLYING f**k IF YOUR MY ALPHA OR NOT I NEED TO DO THIS AND NO ONE IS GOING TO STOP ME FROM DOING IT SO YOU CAN COME ALONG FOR THE f*****g RIDE OR STAY THE f**k OUT OF MY WAY SO YOU CHOOSE CAUSE HOUNESTLY I JUST DON'T GIVE A f**k ANYMORE" she yells and slams the bathroom door so loud and hard it makes the whole room shake.... 'well damn i had no idea Nikki would ever speak to her alpha that way' 'yeah no kidding Jewel i expect it from Ava she is bossy and real bitchy but never Nikki who would have guessed huh?' Jewel and i finish our quick pow wow and sit on the bed and wait for Nikki i'm not sure what she's planning to do or say to my family but i have this gut feeling it is gonna be good and i ain't gonna miss it
