Adaline's POV

After about two hours of going over the pack things and getting some information about what I am or at least who I am. We were finally winding down on everything. We agreed to do a pack tour. Barrett was excited because he was going to fly out some more warriors to watch their warriors train to get back and help his pack, so they were all on the same routine for when needed. "I think its best that Adaline be marked on our pack lands that way she's protected more, and we can all help out with the transition." Oliver and Emily were discussing where and when that could take place. I saw Renee and Bennett looking at them with glazed eyes, they must be doing that talk with the mind thing. "We agree, and since we are headed there in a few days we can do it while we are there that way. Adaline can be protected, but we are also able to train with you and have her train as well." I was definitely getting overwhelmed. Barrett was rubbing my back in attempt to calm me down. "NO, that's not fair you don't get to decide, if I am ready for that, I am not, I don't even know what I want." Barrett tensed up next to me. "Now Adaline" Renee tried to get out, but I cut her off "NO". I saw Heather stand up and walk behind me. "She is right, we don't get to decide for her."

Everyone was looking at her now, her hands were on my shoulders trying to calm me. I am guessing that's why Barrett tensed up. "Adaline, they are right in a sense, as that's just our nature. Most of us mark and mate the same day we meet our mates. That's just how our bonds work and our nature works. So that is why they are suggesting it. Yes, it will help because you will have Selena to emerge and protect you. HOWEVER, it is your choice, you are human, well for right now, so we need to abide by your rules and your feelings and do as you wish." The last part she bit out a bit harsh as she moved her eyes from person to person. "All in all it is all about you, your safety, your mental well-being and your happiness." Everyone was nodding at her, "Alright that's enough chit-chat for now, everyone spread out and go get ready for dinner, we will all meet back here in an hour to eat." Papa was all but pushing everyone out of the room. Barrett and I got up to grab James and head outside for a little, but we were stopped by David and Rachel, "Adaline, would you and Barrett please sit down with Rachel and I, just for a few moments. We have something very important to talk about." I seemed a bit calmer when I was standing by David for some reason. I nodded, and we headed upstairs to my old room.

Barrett and I sat on the edge of my bed while Rachel and David sat on the couch by the balcony door. "Okay, so I want to start out with, you are in every right to feel the way you do and also not everything about us was told to you, there was something left out for your own good and until I was able to tell you." He paused to gauge our reactions I nodded, and he continued, "So my bloodline goes back over 200 years. My wolf Knight is an alpha. He was actually mated, to Selena before they were both killed." Barrett growled and grabbed me into his lap, and snarled "mine." Everyone was chuckling at him, "Yes Barrett, all yours, I am completely over the moon happy with my mate," he pulled Rachel to him "anyway when Knight was killed he begged and begged the Moon Goddess to go back to Selena to protect her, but it was too late, and she was killed. They both asked to have them reborn together once the Moon Goddess decided, and she agreed, but under the rule that they were not to be mates. Knight would be Selena's guard and protector outside of her new mate. You see they were connected when they were alive, extremely strong together and they both possessed special abilities, ones you will regain when Selena emerges. Knight has some of Selena's and some of his own. They were connected every way and will still be pretty much. I also believe it is best you change at our pack as I will be able to help train you with your abilities that we share and Beck will take care of the others with what Knight remembers. We will also be connected through our own special mind link at all times. We can even link. Even from different states, the perks of being a guard, I'll also be able to feel when you get hurt or injured. James will also receive a wolf at 18. With his blood being as strong as it is, he was bound to get a wolf regardless of who his father was, human or other. It is ultimately up to you. I just wanted to give you a bit more information before you make a decision as it does affect us all. There are a few other things we have to tell you, but it's best once you turn to do those as they can affect a lot of decisions and feelings."

I tried to see if I could get any hint of a lie off of him, but something told me to trust him. "Is that why when you asked to talk I felt a sense of calm and trust from you?" He chuckled. "Yes I didn't want to show my abilities, yet until I talked to you but Rachel thought it best that way you would believe me and trust me." She sent me an apologetic look, "no it is alright, it worked I for some reason absolutely trust you and I agree, I am ready, I wasn't sure I was but the more I hear and think the more I am sure its best to help keep my family safe." Barretts head whipped to look at me "WHAT, Adaline are you sure, you have to be absolutely sure?" I turned and smiled at him placed my hand on his cheeks "yes Barrett I want to be marked when we go to Lotus, it is ultimately the best thing to do and what I want." He was smiling so big I leaned in and placed a small kiss on his lips, his hands pulled my head to him to deepen the kiss Rachel chuckled "that's our cure to leave" I heard the door close behind them and then Barrett lifted me up and I felt the mattress behind me. Barrett pulled back slightly and I whimpered from the distance between us, "so beautiful" he breathed out. Then he kissed me again and moved to my neck, he pulled my shirt up and was shocked that I wasn't wearing a bra. He had both breasts cupped firmly in his hands and I moaned as his mouth made its way around both n*****s, tugging slightly. Made his way down my stomach to my shorts, pulled them off and growled out "holy s**t" as he realized I also wasn't wearing panties. I arched as soon and his mouth found my core. He was moving so hungerly, and I was a panting mess. I felt the build up in my core getting tighter and tighter. He licked faster and growled into my core and that sent me over the edge. He licked up every last drop of my mess. Stood up, practically tore off his pants and positioned himself at my entrance. I lifted my hips to meet him. I wrapped my legs around him and flipped us both over, so I was riding him. He startled for a second but regained himself quickly, grabbing my hips and thrusting up. I laid on his chest panting, trying to catch a breath when he giggled "not to ruin the moment, but we have to get you cleaned up and dressed properly," the last part a bit of a growl. I was betting, since I had no underwear on, I looked at him questionably. He smiled "I have to fulfill my promise to James, remember, we agreed to play with Shaw." I laughed. I totally forgot all that "Alright, let's go get my little man." He smiled at me and his eyes darkened again. "First a shower." he growled out, "Oh no, down boy!" I laughed out as I ran to the bathroom. Barrett hot on my tail.
