Chapter 26

Rebeckas POV

After everyone left for the training field, I again headed to the hospital to help out and see what supplies they needed. Most things were good and stocked. It seems not much has happened here besides some broken bones from teens and young kids and births. I was helping one teenage boy who said he was just playing around and jumping off trees but winded up falling and busting his leg wide open. Even for wolves, teen boys are not the safest. "Your a witch, right? I've never really gotten to meet any, since we don't leave pack lands much and if we do, we don't socialize much outside of humans." I was wrapping his leg in a salve and gauze. He was healing slower since he didn't have his wolf fully yet, but still faster than humans. "Yes I am, I really don't socialize outside of humans as well unless it is this pack. as I don't trust very easily." He nodded "Yeah my parents said you gotta get a feeling for them first and if they are here in our pack helping they are one of the good ones, so I trust you and thank you." He smiled brightly "Well your welcome Trevor but please stop being so reckless, your life is not always going to be this easy so try and stay on the ground please" I couldn't help but chuckle at him, he was shocked "wow is your power to know who everyone is" that is when I lost it in a fit of laughter, "no" was all I could get out as I lifted up his chart. He blushed so red. "Oh yeah right, well thanks again and I will be more careful because this hurts." I shook my head "kids".

Before lunch, I found Stefan coming in from training, "Hey, when you are done showering, come to my room". I told him where it was and walked off. I'm not entirely sure what to do with him just yet, but I know I don't want to piss off the Moon Goddess more than I already have. I got to my room on the third floor. They wanted me closer to the kids just in case. It was a large room about the size of my cafe, which I needed to get back too, with a king-size four post bed, cream and gold colors all around. Not the typical blue and silver I was expecting but very much my style. I got showered quickly and ready because I had a lot to fill everyone in. I heard the knock from the closet "Come in". Stefan came in dressed in the tightest tshirt i had ever seen a man wear and a dark washed pair of jeans. He's pushing it. I walked out and he tensed up a bit. I looked down at my tank top and shorts set. "What is something on me"? "No, just taming my wolf, Jazz, he doesn't want anyone to see you with that much showing, I told him to calm down as we wont be that controlling mate, which he didn't like." Wow wolves. "Well I am sorry "JAZZ" but I am not changing and we need to talk anyway. His face dropped a bit. "Listen", I sighed out, knowing he thinks now I am going to reject him. "I'm not rejecting you but I am also not fully accepting you yet, I need time. I need us to take things slow." He looked happier now. "Also, I am 130 years old, so I didn't wait for you, just so you know, and also I was typically with girls more than guys." His eyes were bugging out now.

"You look amazing for 130, and I haven't waited for you either. I am 35. That would be a bit silly. I do appreciate the ones that do wait." That shocked me this time. He was very forward. "I am more shocked that you are mated to me then, instead of a shewolf, not that I am not happy to have my mate, but just confused". That got me laughing "you and me both buddy, not that I haven't been with guys, just not as much as girls." We were both laughing at this point. "So I wanted to state that I don't really want anyone to know just yet if that is okay I want us to get to know one another, together without everyone else prying. I assume it is different with witches and wolves, but witches get attached very fast and it gets dangerous, but we have a lot to go over within the next few months or years depending." Now he's looking at me like I have grown another head. "I'll explain at the meeting after lunch just try to act not like my mate, I know that probably hurt but we will have a long tome to grow together for right now we need to focus on Barrett and Adaline okay?"

"Okay, I could try. I am not going to say I'll succeed, but I will try" he smirked. Yep, we are destined. I giggled out, I walked over to him, looked him in his eyes, levitated up, got the shock value I wanted and kissed him. I was flooded with images, not much I could decipher, since it was Stefan and me. That usually happens when you find your beloved. It's supposed to be something you work together to see that way you can see any bad that comes your way and stop it, but there was just so much. He finally took to and grabbed me closer and kissed me harder. It seemed like forever but we both backed up to catch our breath and now it is going to be hard to keep my distance, but it has to be done. "Okay now go and keep our distance, but just for a little bit, we will meet here again after the meeting, okay." He reluctantly backed away and smiled before heading downstairs. Well, here goes nothing.

After getting lunch and practically forcing Ad to eat because she was worried, we all headed to Barretts' office. There were definitely a lot of wolves in one room, a little uncomfortable, but I knew they were all good. I felt Stefan tense up when I walked in, but he was good at his word. He was trying. It looked like Barrett's parents, Sam's parents, Bennett's brother and his mate Jack, as well as the usual group of wolves I have all met and a few others, but they radiated warriors, so probably that. "Thank you all for coming I had Sam call us all because we have a lot to discuss, I also called Seth and Anthony since they are our head warriors" I knew it," and Anthony graciously agreed to be the Adalines guard for when I am not around and maybe still." The two stood and bowed "like I said earlier Alpha it will be a pleasure to guard our Luna". They all smiled. "Okay, I am going to give the floor to Beck, since she has been the one with the most answers on this." Here we go. "So the Mood Goddess visited me last night again, which means I didn't get much SLEEP" I said that a bit louder while looking up knowing she was watching. That got a laugh from some but I noticed Stefan tensing up again. "The last time she came she talked about the white wolf but was very vague. Last night she graciously gave me more insight and I met Adalines Wolf Selena." Everyone gasped and was pretty much on the edge of their seats. Adaline's face was white as well, as her wolf. She was definitely going to need some calming oils. "Now what she informed me of shocked me more than most things I've heard or known, Adaline won't need to be changed into a wolf, as Selena is already there. Adaline is a pure wolf right now." Barrett was holding Adaline tightly as she looked like she was going to pass out and everyone was staring at her. "Shes dormant though per the Moon Goddesses doing." I then proceeded to retell my dream and the detail I was given last night. "I believe if I got what the Moon Goddess said right that when you mark Adaline she will shift for the first time and everything will be as it was always supposed to." I looked towards Adaline and Barrett "I think I am going to be sick" Barrett flew into action and charged her towards the bathroom. "Well that was not what I was expecting out of this meeting" Renee chuckled out "We better get some tea up here for her shes going to need it and maybe Beck can put something in it to calm her a bit." Yea that was a good idea so I nodded and looked in my bag I knew I had something. They emerged from the bathroom but Adaline looked pissed now.
