Jesse knew where she was before she had even dared to open her eyes. The blend of lavender and beeswax always stole her breath with its overpowering odour. There were times this scent had been so strong it had made her wheeze. What she didn’t know, however, was why Micah had brought her here, of all places. Perhaps he had decided to sell her back after all, perhaps a quick lay wasn’t worth the trouble she brought.
