In a scientific study published ten months earlier, researchers found that a single molecule could redirect the genetic code of DNA and remake RNA entirely. Two newly published doctors from Duke University, recently recruited to the Department of Science and Engineering got funding from the federal government agency from the united state military research center to develop a new drug to make a superhuman. They were able to break down the genes but adding genes to those to make it strong and durable was the primary goal. The two researchers worked together for decades using different genes from different animals to reconstruct the genes to create the perfect balance between human and animal anatomy. The process was very strenuous and complex, the scientists found that the only animal that can create the perfect combination was a horse and the structure of DNA from old vials of various viruses. Toby wrote about the process in journals and recorded everything in his research. Conrad made videos of every single injection that was given and the amount of times and the effect of the injection given. The government was notified that a prototype was ready to be tested for the first time. The creation was displayed in a cage, standing at a height above all the other people. The higher ups wanted to see what he could do and they pushed Hank to his limits, Hank had a heart attack and died that night. Toby and Conrad had to start working on this again but this time they wanted to test it on a human subject. This is how the beginning of the ending started. In this meeting Toby and Conrad explained how the animals genes weren’t strong enough and they needed better test subjects. They explained the process and results of the test they already conducted to make Hank. The head department leader agreed to give them test subjects to see how well the injection and serum works with the human anatomy and immune system and how it will effect the brain.
