Chapter 15

Gia’s POV

I’m surrounded by long limbs and the heat around me is suffocating. I move around gathering my senses. Nathan is laying next to me sleeping peacefully.

That was the best sleep I have ever gotten, and it was only a two hour nap. My stomach is growling and I’m sure dinner will be ready soon, plus I want to catch up with Val.

I lean down and start planting kisses on Nathan’s cheeks, he starts to stir awake and the next thing I know I’m pinned to the bed beneath him “I love that I get to wake up to you for the rest of my life.” He kisses me tenderly.

I can’t help but smile as he’s kissing me. I know we just met and I know there’s still a lot of uncertainty and danger but with Nathan by my side it all feels unimportant, that we can accomplish anything and everything.

It’s weird how this mate bond works, no doubt about it.

My stomach growls again and Nathan laughs “is my Princess hungry?”

I blush “a little bit yes.”

“We must not keep her waiting.” He stands and holds out his hand to pull me off the bed with him.

“Have you ever played 20 questions” I ask as we walk out into the hall.

“20 questions? Maybe in like middle school.”

“Well I think it would be a good way to help get to know each other.”

“Okay, well go ahead.”

I think for a moment as we head towards the stairs to go to the dinning hall, walking hand in hand. There’s so much I want to know about Nathan but I don’t really want to start off so serious.

“What’s your middle name?”

“I am Nathan Allen Cyrus.” He winks at me.

“Okay now it’s your turn to ask me something.”

“If you had to choose between Pizza or Chicken for the rest of your life, what would it be?”

“What kind a question is this, pizza or chicken? That’s impossible.”

“No you have to answer”

“Well I would say chicken since you have more of a variety of how it could be cooked or prepared. What is your favorite pastime?”

“Well now it’ll be spending time with you.” He kisses my hand then continues “I also love cars, researching cars, collecting cars, driving cars, working on cars. All of it. What is your favorite pastime?”

“Well aside from training and learning security techniques, I haven’t done much. However I do enjoy dancing and since I’ve been sent around the world I’ve gotten to learn many different styles of dancing and arts.”

“You’ve been sheltered your whole life haven’t you?”

“I guess so”

Our conversation has turned heavy as we make our way into the dining hall. I can tell Nathan is lost in his thoughts. Nathan leads us over to a table at the front on the room.

Blake is already seated, he has a beautiful woman next to him. She’s very petite and skinny. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

“That’s Malia, she’s Blake’s mate and she works a lot of the pack house duties. You’ll be able to start helping her with parties and planning now that you’ll be my Luna.”

There’s three more seats at the table, I’m assuming one for me, Nathan and Eli.

“Can we have another chair brought over for Val?”

“Sure Princess. The guards told me she did some damage shopping so I’m sure she’s putting it in her room now.”

Val is on the first floor in one of the guest rooms tonight. If she stays however she’ll have to move into a cottage in the village.

Nathan and I take our seats and we are served fried chicken, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and brown gravy and a biscuit.

“Wow this looks delicious.” We never had anything like this at the castle, well that I’m aware of anyways. I ask the server for a water.

“I love how people can come eat here together every night, no one ever has to be alone.”

We start eating as Val walks over to us. “Hey everyone, this place is awesome please don’t make me leave.” She begs Nathan and I laugh.

Just as he was about to answer her we hear doors crash open.

“Mate!” Is yelled.

Next thing I know Val is pinned against the wall by a familiar figure.

“Mate” Val copies in a deep tone.

“Eli?” Nathan stands up to get ahold of his beta. “You can’t mate with her here in the dining hall.”

Eli turns around and I can’t help the shock that over comes me.

“Dr. Collins?” I ask

Valerie is straight by drooling over this man in this moment. Her body presses against his back.

“Hello Princess.” Eli bows “how are your headaches?”

I’m still in shock I turn and look at Nathan and he just shrugs.

“I guess you won’t be leaving after all Valerie, not the pack house either it appears.”

My Doctor and my cousin. Is this real?
