CHAPTER SEVENTEEN The next morning, after Broderick had eaten breakfast, he decided he needed some fresh air. Kira’s house was filled with all sorts of pungent smells, some less than enjoyable. He left her studying the book and wandered about the streets. Occasionally he would look over his shoulder, taking note that the crowd of people following him steadily grew. He tried his best to ignore them so that no one would stop him and ask for a ‘miracle’. He needed somewhere to go, somewhere quiet, where he could think clearly without any distractions.
