Chapter Six Brandon POV

It’s been so long since I have been home. I can’t wait to be back so I can see my pack and family. I’ll be taking over as Alpha soon. Although I haven’t found my mate yet, my dad said I could take over on my next birthday if I still haven’t found her.
We pulled up to a massive gate, the entrance to our lands and there was only one guard. There were supposed to be four. So I got out of the car and let my driver know that I would run back to the house myself.
“Where are the other three guards that were supposed to be here?” I asked, he looked like he was about to challenge who I was.
So I asked again, using my Alpha tone this time. “Where are the other guards you oaf?”
Now he is cowering in fear, what has happened to our warriors since I have been gone? This is pathetic.There were strict routines for the warriors to keep our people safe and this guy not only waved me in without even knowing who I was but also he is alone when there should be more. I will be discussing this with my father immediately.
“There was a pretty little she-wolf that offered her services, if you know what I mean.” The guard said with a smirk that pissed me off.
“So you are saying our warriors are willing to leave their f*****g post for a piece of ass?” I was fuming at the insolence. I cannot believe that I used to look up to some of these guys.
“Uh yes Alpha, I mean no Alpha.” He began to stutter at this point. This man is a coward. How did he ever become a warrior, really.
“Tell me the truth, why didn’t you go with them?” I said using my Alpha tone again.
“The she-wolf said that to not catch too much attention someone needed to stay at the post. That later she would come get me and make our time extra special, since it would be just us.”
“Do you like sharing women? You are all pathetic and disgusting. You know overseas if a she-wolf’s mate acted this way, she was allowed to cut your d**k off for doing so repulsive and sleeping with anything willing.” After I said that I shifted instantly, letting my wolf, Adonis, take control I needed to think about everything I have encountered the five minutes I have been home.
Adonis was dashing through the forest with ease, jumping over downing logs, the ground shook beneath us. Adonis is the largest black wolf in history for the last 200 years. He has great speed and agility despite his size.
Suddenly he abruptly stopped running, skidding in the dirt. He howled a happy howl. Then took off full speed. I had no idea what was going on and he wouldn’t tell me. Then he finally stopped in front of an old Dutch-style cottage. I was hit with the most intoxicating smell I have ever encountered; rain and pine trees. There she was, the most beautiful redhead I have ever seen.
My wolf and I whispered together, “Mate.”
