#musicvibe - Black Thunder, The HU (Serj Tankian, Bad Wolves, Daniel Laskiewicz) * Garrett POV I didn’t know how many wolves were around me, but pain coursed through me when I felt several claws s***h through my back, pressing me into the ground. Kato desperately tried to get up, but their combined effort forced me into the ground until I couldn’t move. Coldness washed over me when I sensed Tyson’s aura reach me, and I knew that I was in deep trouble. I prayed to the Moon Gooddess that Evy had gotten out. The wolves surrounding me made it hard for me to see what was going on around me and I couldn’t smell anything other than the metallic scent of blood. The warriors moved out of the way and I saw Celeste sitting on Dax’s back, the Alpha growling lowly at the sight of me. Kato whimpered when Tyson’s aura washed over me and I saw Celeste jump off Tyson’s back and Tyson shifted back to human form. “Shift back.” He snarled. The command forced Kato back and I groaned in pain when my human form was pushed back out. “What have you done?” Tyson growled. I saw that he was only looking at me, and I looked around for any signs of Evy. For a moment, I almost forgot what we were doing, and that I was caught. Because there was no sign of Evy. She had gotten through. My head whipped to the side and I fell to the ground when Tyson punched me in the face. Hands pulled at my arms and I looked up to see warriors shifted back to human form and they grabbed hold of my arms. “Lock him up.” Tyson commanded. “He’ll die along with the queen at noon tomorrow.” * Youngblood Castle October 16th, 2146 * Alex POV I watched while Violet’s eyebrows furrowed in concentration. She just finished an assignment for school and was submitting it. When she was finished, she shut the laptop and grinned. ”All done.” She chirped. I sauntered over to her, sat down on the sofa next to her and pulled her into my lap. ”You are brilliant, you know that right?” I mumbled while burying my face in her hair. ”So are you.” Violet whispered. ”You’ve really turned things around here.” ”I couldn’t have done it without you.” I replied and planted a kiss on her lips. It felt unreal to me that my family had spent generations being cursed, completely missing out on the amazing experience of a mate bond. I had completely fallen head over heels in love with Violet, and the mate bond made me feel things that I never thought was possible. Violet was the perfect queen. We were holding off on making her the official queen until she had finished school, and my sister Lara had stepped up to help Violet juggling school and royal duties. It warmed my heart to see them get along so well. Since Lara and I only had gotten control of our wolves recently, Violet had really helped us to get to know them better. Eze felt like the best friend I had waited for my whole life. Life was perfect. We both looked up when the doors burst open and one of my lieutenants sped in. “My king.” He greeted. “There is a group of witches outside the castle.” Violet and I looked at each other in confusion and alarm. “Maintain the security, and send them in.” I said. “They must have come here for a reason.” We walked down to the throne room and I turned inward to talk to Eze. “I need you to be on high alert.” I said. “I don’t know what kind of witches they are or what they want, and we need to protect Violet in case they turn out to be hostile.” “I’m right here.” Eze said and stood up in my mind. “I’ll shift at the first sign of trouble.” I took Violet’s hand in mine and waited for the guards to bring the witches in, preparing myself for just about anything. The doors opened and I counted ten women in black satin dresses walking in. They were all barefoot even in the middle of autumn and none of them were wearing any coats. In the middle of the group, I saw a woman in her fifties with white hair flowing down her shoulders. Her eyes were completely white and one of the women walking next to her was holding her hand. “Sister Athena?” I asked in disbelief. About a month ago, I had visited their coven to find a way to lift my family’s curse. Sister Athena was a witch seer, a witch with a special gift of having visions about the past, present and future. According to legend, the visions destroyed her eyesight until she went completely blind. Vampires and witches had been enemies for generations, but sister Athena’s coven was one of the few covens that actually tolerated vampires enough to do business with them. But I wouldn’t say that we were friends, so if she had come here, there must be something going on. “What brings you here?” I asked. “Is everything alright? I didn’t think you’d be making house calls.” “We usually don’t.” Sister Athena replied dryly. “But right now, we’re in a lot of danger.” “If you need refuge, our doors are open to you.” I replied instantly. Sister Athena smiled softly. “I’m happy to see that you’ve learned something from the mistakes of your ancestors.” She replied. “But unfortunately you are in danger too.” She turned her head and looked directly at Violet. I was surprised. From what I heard, witch seers were completely blind, but sometimes I wondered if sister Athena actually could see some things. Otherwise, how would she know that Violet was standing there? “Have you talked to your brother lately, dear?” She asked. Violet’s eyes widened. “I tried calling him yesterday, but he didn’t pick up.” She replied. “Is Tyson in trouble? Is that what you mean?” I saw the look of worry on her face and squeezed her hand reassuringly. “I’m sure that if something was wrong, Valeria would have called.” I replied and turned back to sister Athena. “What kind of danger do you mean?” Sister Athena shook her head. “I think the lycans are in trouble.” She replied. “I’ve gotten a lot of visions of queen Valeria’s death, and I think she’s about to be killed by dark magic.” My blood ran cold and I saw Violet scrambling to get her phone out of her pocket. “I’ll try calling them.” She whispered, and I could feel the fear flaring through our bond. “Please tell me everything you know.” I pleaded. “What have you seen?” Before sister Athena could reply, the doors behind her opened and two guards led in a girl wrapped in a blanket. From the smell I could tell that she was a werewolf, and I heard Violet gasp beside me. “Evelyn?” She asked and rushed up to her. “What happened?” Tears and sweat streaked Evelyn’s face, and fresh tears welled up in her eyes as Violet pulled her into a hug. “Please help.” She sobbed. “We’re under attack.”
