The beach

As Santa man had explained to them, there was a machine at the tail of the plane close to the jump area, and it seemed like he'd be jumping with them at first, but after they had gone over the jumping drill two times he put away his parachute and locked the closet it ce out of, hounding everyone one in a single line one after the other toward the back where he instructed them to place their hand in the machine, and upon doing so he ordered them to stand at the sides, turning that single line into four lines of twenty five with Parker at the absolute back. "Please." The Blonde woman at the back plead with him, almost desperately, since she was at the back of the line and everyone was focused of surviving the first minutes of the island, nobody even noticed her quiet gesture, and Parker sighed, thinking of how she had the nerve to take part in the Eclipse Games if she was so dependent on others, she had no reason to trust him and yet she was seemingly clinging on to what he supposedly knew as the history making hundred and first contestant. "I promise, I will not be a burden, you won't even notice I'm there," She took a few steps back looking at him while he was tapping at the unresponsive watch the machine had locked around his hand, thinking of how it felt like a handcuff. "Do you remember how to open your parachute and steer?" He asked her as she silently stood there, and she paused for several seconds before nodding yes. "Okay, I'll jump with you, and once our chutes are open, you come in my direction, if you land on the beach, get off immediately, and if you land in the forslest makes sure nobody see you coming at me, we have a half moon and my hood is easy to spot so after you find me I'm gonna flip it over to the black side, so you have limited time, if someone else approaches me first I'm leaving the beach and you behind. "Okay, but what about if I land in the water, and have to swim to you." Aha asked and Parker huffed and grunted, feeling the urge to pinch her cheek. "Listen... uh.." "Lisa." She gave him a knowing nod seeing as she never I troduced herself despite knowing about him somewhat. "Lisa," Parker placed his hand on her shoulder to make sure he had her full attention. "If you fall into the water, you're Very likely to die, first of all it's the beach, and it's night, Anyone can attack and drown you in the water and you wouldn't have any defences out there, and don't forget that the Santa man said there are sharks, I don't know if that's true or not but it's best not to test your luck like that, Aime for the same of the shrubs at the shore, detach your chute, and run like hell, I don't plan to die and I won't let you get me killed either." He spoke hisind leaving her staring frightened. "Did you just call him Santa?" Lisa asked, and Parker had a tick mark appear on his neck from getting annoyed at her in record time. "What I call the bastard doesn't matter, just remember all I've said and keep an eye on me as we go down-" While Parker had been talking the regular lights suddenly shut off and then came back red with an alarm ringing throughout the plane as it slightly began shaking. "From previous seasons, you should know that there are several buildings and safe houses stored across the island, but we will be releasing you at minimum altitude above sea so that you can barely land on the shore, what remains afterward is all up to you contestants, as I mentioned the watch on your wrists alhave in them a map, just gold your left thumb against the screen and it should activate, with this detailed minimal you will know where everything will be as well as where the biggest supply drops will be throughout the thirty days of the Eclipse Games." When i give the mark you will all begin rushing out through this here giant door!" He called to them as the ass of the plane began opening up causing rushing winds to flood in. "I'm scared." Lisa held on to Parker's hand tightly as she saw the people at the front jump out one after the other in lines of five screaming while the winds whisked them away." "All you need to do is remember and stay off the beach on first contact." Parker turned to her and raised her goggles from around her neck, placing them over her eyes and patting her head. "Let's see now... he said to her as they began pacing forward when the speed of the jumps increased. "Let's see who survives, this first trial!" He shouted running passed the proctor with her and being sucked away from the plane by the atmosphere outside, for the first few seconds it was nothing but discomfort and confusion, but the light had prepared their eyes for the night and just seconds after leaving the plane they could see the island beneath them, it was shaped like a fat crooked Cresent wit quite a few smaller islands around it all seemingly within swimming distance, Parker having gone skydiving before took a screaming Lisa's hand and led her calmly before their watches suddenly lit up with the words "Open your parachutes or die." Seeing this they witnessed as all the other parachutes in the light of the half moon suddenly flew open, then watched horrified as a whole ten of them suddenly tore apart causing the people depending on them to scream above the winds as their lives were about to be snuffed out in the shade of an ominous moon on a dark and troubled night, disqualification on account of cheating, and the worst kind of nodding out too; Death. Seeing the horror on Lisa's face, Parker quickly grabbed her hands, hooked her thumbs in the loops and then dragged her hands causing her to help as her shoot flew open, he then quickly did the same, taking a breath when his descent slowed to barable speeds. In a few more seconds he saw his destination, beneath him there was sand, and at the edge of that sand there were rocks and then water, it was where the previous winner was announced after the last survivors had an all out fight, in the midst of those rocks there was a knife crafted by that season's winner from the bone of a warthog, it wasn't anything fancy but it was a pretty bad idea to head toward any loot on the first night, that's where most players either got killed or kidn*pped. He took his time and made sure that the moment his feet hit the ground he was feeling in his parachute, and then he took ten seconds making no sound as he waited there in the shade of the rocks and watched as the other contestants landed in the sea and onto the open sand hundreds of metres away, and then watching above the closest person to himself landing almost exactly where he did and kneeling in the sand as the chute slowly descended after them. It was Lisa, she made it.
