Lisa's proposal

"We all have stories like that." Lisa looked at Parker and he scoffed. "Everyone's experience and situation is different, even if they siund the same there are some things that can't be mimicked... what I mean to say though all I've told you Lisa, is that regardless of how I'm helping you, or aiding you, I'm aiming for the winners spot, meaning the moment you become an actual obstacle to my goal I'm leaving you behind, it's that simple." Parker stared at her and she seemed to smile. "What, is something funny?" He asked her, and she rested her cheek in her hand and leaned her head looking at him. "Three years ago, there was a case where around five people got out of the eclipse games, I've been thinking about it ever since I met you Carter." She admitted, maintaining her smile. "They worked together and avoided the other contestants, they kept their team till the very end and at the end of the four weeks, four of them forfeited and the last was declared winner, after they were sent back home the winner split her prize with the others, two hundred million a head, I'm not greedy though, you see I already know I can't fend for myself, I'm terrified of being here, but you are a kind person even if you try not to be." "What are you getting at?" Parker narrowed his eyes at her and she held her hands up defensively with a smile. "You think I'd team up with you and give you half the prize?" He asked her and she shook her head negatively. "Of course not," She chuckled. "I'm not that hungry of a person, but I do want to live Parker, everyone else has murder on their mind except you, and I can't fight to save my own life, especially after getting hurt by that poisonous thorn tree, so I really don't care tiouch for the money outside of my debt, I can stick around and be the eyes in the back of your head, if I can survive the eclipse games with you, I'll simply pay off my debt and you'll never hear from me again." She leaned her head and Parker went silent. "You'd pass up a billion dollars just to suck up to someone?" Parker asked almost shocked. "You bet I would." Lisa laughed at Parker's choice of words. "It's more complicated than that though, and yet more simple at the same time, you see I'm not really poor or am I broke, back in the West I have family who's holding on to my money, and once I'm not there I can't access it, all I want is to go home, the eclipse games be damned, but I'm afraid I'll die if I don't team up with you, because everyone else is bat s**t crazy as hell, so all I really need to do is survive, I know I won't get anything if I forfeit this early on, and dying is solving nothing, but I can't survive-" "I get it stop repeating yourself damnit." Parker looked at her strangely and then reached his hand out to her. "If you can talk this much we can keep moving, there is gonna be another drop soon, plus this high-rise just peaked my interest a little bit, there isn't anything marked at the top on the map but there's a brick right here." He pointed beneath his feet where she looked and saw a stone brick imbedded into the surrounding rocks. "There might be something worth using up there." "Are you going to at least think about my proposal?" Lisa asked and Parker groaned as he pulled her behind himself. "Listen, if you can make it to the top five, I'll think about it, but until then, just shut up about that matter and stop annoying me, it's pretty easy to accidentally push or drag someone off this rise so I'm being careful around you." "And yet you tell me." She pointed out staring at his back. "I don't know your character enough to say you're trustworthy, but more than anything else I've observed you're speaking the truth about your lack of instinct and survivability, if you lose me your only option would be to find someone else or try and survive a month on these supplies I have, but as a warning my grip on your hand is final, if you try to push me off this rise you'll be going down as well, but as a positive aspect it means I'm not letting you go if you slip, but be careful not to, you're not a feather." "It's rude to call a girl heavy..." "I couldn't give three shots about any pleasantries Lisa, just be quiet and listen out for any odd sounds while we move, we'll be at the top in a few minutes." "Ugh.. fine."
