I looked at Jack, who shrugged 'he's your problem, not mine'. Grandpa wouldn't help. I had to get rid of the invader myself. This was a tricky territory to navigate. On the one hand, I was at my home, my territory, which rightfully belonged to me. I had the right to kick out anybody for any reason, especially uninvited guests. On the other hand, he was my Master, and he had certain rights. I had to show him respect and listen to his orders — at least those that pertained to my education. And the definition of what counts as 'education' can be quite broad in a master-apprentice. Like being sent into a swamp without a map to find your way out.
