"You can't do that!" I looked at my father with hatred, and you could hear it in my voice. The anger graced me just as much and no one could miss it. He sat in a chair behind his desk and laughed mockingly. He enjoyed having the upper hand and inflicting this torture on me. This man was a pure sadist. "You do what I tell you. It's decided and you have no choice. It's none of your business." I had been standing in the middle of the room and took two steps towards him to stand directly in front of his desk. This made it easier for me to glare at him, which made it clearer. "It's my business." My voice had still been calm, but now I became louder: "It's my life, with which I can do whatever I want! You have no right to sell me!" With this act, he outdid himself. He may be cruel and an incredibly bad father, but that was the height. A hideous smile graced his lips as he said, "You don't even know who the buyer is exactly." Whoever bought another person was scum. You didn't need any details to know it was a monster. Without being asked, he continued: "Xavier Blackmoon." Everything froze inside me and my angry expression fell on its own. If it was the man I had in mind, then I would be dead. My face went completely white and my throat tightened. It was like an anvil that he had thrown at my feet. The office door was open, so we only noticed my brother's presence when he asked, "What about Alpha Blackmoon?" I was unable to move and stared at my father. This had to be a sick joke. It had to be a lie. Our father said to him angrily, "Jason, this is none of your business. I have something to sort out with Layla." It was no one's business, not even me, even though he was ruining my life. My brother was not a man to get rid of lightly, and he proved that by answering decisively: "No, you tell me what's going on now. What about Alpha Blackmoon? Is he still causing problems?" I looked at him unimpressed and didn't bat an eyelid as I replied seriously: "A smug monster sitting lazily in his chair in the office." Since Jason was the future Alpha, he could be just as fast as a standard werewolf. It wasn't just our father who had the advantage. So he threw a punch, but Jason caught his hand.
