Max panicked after he heard his mother's voice. He went back, running to the room where Lilith was looking up at him with raised eyebrows, still munching the food, while Max was passing back and forth with his hands in his hair while mumbling, "She will kill me. What should I do? What should I do".
Lilith said, "Is it really your mom?"
Before he could answer, they heard a loud bang again, followed by a high scream, "Open the damn door before I break it."
Max totally ran to the door, opened it, and then sprinted back to the room while Lilth stood up to face her.
The woman seemed to calm down after she saw Lilth, but her sharp eyes remained the same. Then she said in shock, "She's pregnant too."
Max was now standing behind Lilith; he used her as a human shield against his mother, who was holding a thick stick. He said, "Let me explain."
But she didn't let him; she raised the stick above her head and shouted, "You little piece of s**t, she is a teenager."
Lilth was a bit scared of her, but in fact, she was also amused by the scene until the fact that she is also Alexander's mother hit her, which made her smirk flatter.
"Wait," Lilth said, putting her hands up and stopping her. "You need to calm down, ma'am. I have a lot on my plate right now, and that stick is making me about to freak out."
Max's mother's features softened when she shifted her eyes to Lilith, then she put the stick down and said with a wide smile, "Oh, my beautiful little girl, don't be scared, please. What about you go wait for us in the kitchen while I have a little chitchat with that dipshit that dares to use a pregnant woman as a sheild?"
Lilith got chills from her sweet voice that held not very nice intentions, but she quickly nodded, and when she was about to leave the room, Max shouted, "She's the girl you dear son raped; I was just helping her."
Both women snapped their heads back at Max with wide eyes. Lilith at this moment felt so betrayed; her face screamed with cursing Max when her mouth abruptly held an 'O' shape from the surprise, while his mother put her hand on Lilith's shoulder to get her attention, then said in the most concerned tone that Lilith has ever heard in her whole life, "Is it true?"
Max totally took her off guard. She wasn't planning to tell anyone yet; they were supposed to escape from his family.
Lilith suttered while trying to find the right words. "I, no, oh, yeah, it depends, though."
Max's mom patted her shoulders with a sad smile, then said, "You can call me Amanda."
Lilith let out a deep sigh while she looked at Amanda. It seems from her voice and the tenderness in her eyes that she's the first caring alpha Lilith ever saw in her life. The alpha women she met before were her teachers, and let's say they weren't that fond of her, all thanks to the unfair damn ranking, which made her wonder why she should be born as an omega. It's totally unfair, given that her aunt is a witch.
Out of nowhere, Lilith felt like she was about to break down, and her eyes were full of tears, which made her bit her lip hard to stop herself before she cried. Amanda, of course, saw that, and without any hesitation, she pulled her in a tight hug with her hand running in her hair.
Then Lilith heard her giggle, and then her gintel whispered, "Those damn hermones."
Then Amanda broke the hug, while Lilith immediately whipped the few tears that escaped her eyes and put her head down. She frowned at her sudden mood swings as her anger towards Max fired in her veins again.
Amanda then said, "I'm sorry, my beautiful girl."
Lilith seemed to not like the sweet words that were coming from Amanda's mouth any more, so she said as she brought her eyes up to face her, "It's Lilith."
Amanda cracked a small smile and said, "Aw, so unique; it matches your beauty."
Lilith cut her, saying, "Look, if you are doing that to make me forgive your basta, I mean, son, you're so wrong."
The rage flashed in Amanda's eyes that got sharp at Lilith's mention of Alexander, and then she gritted her teeth while saying, "Oh, believe me, young lady, you have no clue about what my mind set up for my dear son."
Then Amanda scofed and rolled her eyes in anger, saying, "Ugh, I was hoping to have two beautiful little girls that I would treat like the princesess they could be, but God must've been so damn angry at me that he gave me three freaking dipshits. All they do in their lives is get me out of my f*****g mind. Well, at least one of them is trying to be a good pup, but the other two."
She snapped her head at Max, who took a step back, ready to run if necessary, while Lilith was trying to read the women to see if this was all an act.
Then she turned back to Lilith, sighed, and said, "So, what do you want me to do?"
Lilth didn't expect to hear that question like ever; she immediately remembered Alexander's eyes, which gave her chills, so she bit her lip nervously, so Amanda continued, "Honstly, I didn't expect to see you here; I was here to bring that i***t home. Their grandma heard about what happened, and she told Alex to bring you home too, so what do you think?"
