Her Second Chance

NOT AGAIN

It has been six years since we found Jordin and Jack. She is growing like a leaf and turns out today is her seventh birthday. I sent Jemma and Jack into the nearest town for a cake. Turns out there are a few stores run by wolves that don't charge us anything. I woke Jordin up with my usual birthday song I made for her.

"Happy birthday my angel, may your day be filled with love and joy, Happy birthday my baby Happy birthday Jordi!" I sang to her as she laid on our makeshift bed.

"Thank you Mommy thank you. I love you mommy."

"I love you angel you ready for a great day." she nodded and got up and changed her clothes.

I told Jordin when she was old enough to understand what mommy was and that I wasn't the one to give birth to her and explained the whole situation. She is very smart for her age. She loves books. I still remember her response "I don't care that you are my mommy, my real mommy may have died but you saved me and now you're my mommy who i love." She is so kind and caring. I have been blessed with her and the three hyper wolves making their way to us now.

"Happy birthday!" they shout in unison.

"Thank you Aunt Jemma And Uncle Jack and Uncle Jason." she gleamed with happiness.

"So what did you get me?" she asked out of curiosity.

"Can't get nothing by you kiddo." Jason said, handing her the bag of gifts.

They got her a white dress with sunflowers on it, a pink teddy, and a heap of books.

"Thank you, thank you so much I love them." she said grabbing all her gifts and hugging them in return.

"Mommy can I go to the flower bed please?"

"Stay with Jason and mindlink if there's anything and i mean it." they nodded and headed off. Yes we can mindlink now we made ourselves a pack vowing our loyalty, trust, love to one another, and protecting each other with our lives. We call ourselves The howling J's. It suited all of our names starting with J convenient right. I began hanging our laundry to dry when he entered my mind.

"Jazz, Jordi ran after a rabbit and apparently we landed on someone's territory. They are surrounding us waiting on their alpha." he said nervously

The others joined me and we were off.

When I got to the clearing Jordi was threatening a guard. "Wait until my mommy gets here mister she will rip your head off and beat your mean friends with it." she said standing on her tippie toes shaking her finger at him. Man, my girl had no fear. As they gained closer Jemma and Jack joined Jason and pulled Jordin behind them protectively.

"You must be the mother, teach your daughter some manners to higher ranks, before someone gets hurt." he said, spitting his authority over them. Oh Hell No, no one threatens my pack, my family, my daughter. I jumped out and stood in front of them protectively letting Snows teeth show and claws elongate to show my authority.

"If you dare come one step closer or talk about my daughter again I will do exactly what she said i would. Do you understand me"? I said loud with power pouring into every word. They backed up a few steps. Making me ease my tension.

"She trespassed so did the guy and now you, you will all need to see our Alpha." They went to grab us and I jumped mid air drop kicking him right in the chest and threw the second one to the ground.

"Her name is Jordin and his is Jason my Beta, she is a child who wondered after a rabbit. He came to get her back. Then we would not have crossed if you did not pose a threat to my family." I just stated the facts. He growled at me and then a second more powerful deep growl. As the other pack bowed their heads I smelled a wonderful smell, it smelt of Pine trees and fresh rain fell. Oh no, if one wasn't bad enough. I turned to see a tall lean man, tan, with a short longer front dark brown hair, Dark chocolate brown eyes. When our eyes mate I hold in the pressure to submit to that bond. He loudly spoke "MATE". Goddess i read this in the book those who lose their mate to death or most rare cases rejection get a second chance mate. I don't need one to treat me as a slave, turn on me, use me, my daughter, my family. Why me?

He began to walk towards me when Jordin interfered "Hey you mister." he looked down at her raising an eyebrow in curiosity. "Did you just call my mommy Mate"? He looked at me in confusion probably thinking i didn't wait on a mate and cheated sort of speak.

"Wait this woman is your mother"? I was lost in the sound of his deep, husky, mysterious voice. Damn my wolf. Then I heard Jordi speak.

"No No she my second mommy my first one died."

I cut off their conversation.

"Jordin we don't talk to strange men, remember"? "SORRY". She said with a pinch of sadness. But the dear Alpha was smiling at her words.

"Who is your Alpha"? He asked smirking like he'd be able to talk to him and get permission to take me oh hell no. I smirked in return, linking my beta Jason. 'Tell mister Alpha here who your Alpha is and watch his smile falter". Jason turned and nodded.

"Alpha?" he was asking for a name.

"JAX". he said firmly. Really Moon Goddess another J come on now.

"Alpha Jax it is my greatest pleasure to formally introduce you to our Alpha, Alpha Jasmine Rivers." Jason said with such pride and humor in his tune.

His eyes widened the size of baseballs and his smirk fell as I held my head high in pride. He was in shock. Not going to be easy. Then a young female Ran up to the Alpha, she had pretty long blonde hair blue eyes, about 5'4'' slim. Who was her girlfriend?

"Hey bro I know I am Beta but it is your turn to train the pack and I..." she was cut off and started sniffing the air and her eyes snapped to Jason. She ran to him he hugged her oh please don't tell me... "MATE". They say in unison. Great. Jax looks back at me and says "Follow me".

"Excuse me but why would i do that?" He laughed. "Well I figure those two can get to know each other and you're my mate." he said with a smirk back on his face. "Do not call me that." he frowned in confusion. "I will go because they deserve to talk and meet and we will say our goodbyes." they gasped. I did not respond. Jordin looked at me with sad eyes. "Fine we will come along but do not think this mate thing is going to work. I am only coming along because they are siblings. He is my beta and this one." I said pointing at Jordi. "She is using her wolf eyes on me and I can't tell her no.''

So I picked her up and followed the others. Jax walked beside me and I moved away. He was too close for comfort. I saw him frown at the gesture. I am sorry but I have to protect myself and Jordin. My last mate was evil and I can not let Jordin get attached to see it happen again as my uncles words enter my head, "No one will love you, they will use you, pick you up and throw you away you little bitch." I held my tears at bay and breathed in Jordin's scent to keep calm. She deserves the world and I can not let her heart be broken as mine was.
