Start Over with You

I walked tiredly towards my apartment after I got off from work. I feared facing Kenzo at this moment. I am not ready yet. And I don't think I'd ever be ready after losing my baby. Our Kenza. I just want a break and some time away from the memories. A day or two in a nice warm bed would do me good right now while I gather answers to the questions I have been asking myself since that worst fateful day. But I know that it won't happen so easily. It had already been three weeks, and no one knew what was happening to me. Well, there was Kenzo, but he didn’t exactly have any answers for me either. I mean, he could've guessed since he was there when I lost the baby, but how is he supposed to make sense of something like that? He was the most oblivious person I know, so I can only imagine the pain he's experiencing as well. But then again, I also can’t imagine life without him. He must feel very bad too. He has visited me every night since then. He tried his best to comfort me during my sleepless nights, and when he couldn't sleep himself, he'd wake me up with breakfast or a snack, and we'd talk about anything that came into our minds. Sometimes we'd talk about history. Some days we'd talk about our pasts, which we both shared. We talked about our dreams and aspirations. We talked about our hopes and fears. We talked about everything and nothing. We talked about our feelings and our thoughts. We talked about our future. We talked about our past. "Hi," a gentle voice greeted me. I lifted my gaze and focused it on the young man smiling in front of me. "What are you doing here?" I asked, unsure if I'd let him in. "I came over to check on you." His smile widened when I nodded, signaling for him to proceed. We silently walked through the hallway and entered my room. I helplessly walked onto the couch and sprawled my tired body. "You looked sad," he asked, sitting next to me on the couch. "It seems everyone can see that," I sighed. "What happened?" he asked softly, placing a hand on top of my head. "I wondered if Kenza was happy up there," I barely said. "Oh, baby..." I felt a pair of arms hug me tightly as Kenzo placed his chin on the top of my head. "I know Kenza is happy wherever she is right now. We could only be happy for her." "I wish she was here, though." I sobbed into his chest. "I miss her so much." I buried my face in his chest. Here I go again. I'd smile the whole day at school and bawl my heart out back at home. "Let's go somewhere." Kenzo pulled away from our hug and looked at me. "Where?" I asked, wiping away my tears. "Anywhere. Let's get drunk if you like!" Kenzo sounded so hopeful, trying to cheer me up. "Let's not punish ourselves, Kenza would not want that for us." I smiled brightly. "Alright, let's go!" Kenzo grabbed and squeezed my hand, looking sincerely at me. I could see his pain, but he was choosing to be strong for us. He pulled me out of the room and I rode the elevator down to the first floor. "Hey, where are we going?" I asked him curiously. "There's a bar down the street that we haven't been to in a long time. It'll be fun. Come on!" He pulled me along with him. I laughed and followed him. The bar was crowded with people. The music was loud, and the atmosphere was lively. I loved it. I loved being surrounded by people who were having fun. I loved being able to forget about all the things that happened to me. With Kenzo by my side, I know I'll be able to heal in time. "Let's go somewhere," Kenzo suggested. "Where?" I asked. He bought some drinks and led me outside. Just a few yards away from the club, on a low hill, a nice bench could be found under a huge old tree. We sat and had a few drinks while we enjoyed the overlooking view as the sun started going down. Soon it turned dark, and the stars were visible. They were the ones that I loved seeing the most. It was breathtaking. I never paid attention to the sky for quite some time until this moment. Kenzo held my hand and kissed my knuckles as we sat in silence watching the beautiful sight around us. After a while, I felt his arm wrap around my shoulder. I was tense. I missed him. "I'm sorry," he mumbled against my hair. "You are hurting." I closed my eyes and nodded sadly. "I will be fine." "Yes, you will." He smiled, kissing me on the forehead before he laid his head on my shoulder. "Do you remember when we first met?" I suddenly said after taking a sip of my drink. "How could I forget?" he replied, and I felt his hand tighten. He raised his head away from my shoulder and looked at me. I could see his eyes looking intently at me, and before I knew it, we had rushed back to my apartment. I realized that I should just cherish whatever moment we have now, and he is my now. I need him. As the door of my apartment clicked open, I launched myself toward him. I could feel his lips brushing mine as they crashed together passionately. This was the closest I've been to him for such a long time. And even though I still had my doubts, I knew I needed him. He pushed me onto the floor and slowly began unbuttoning my blouse. As soon as it was off, he threw it across the room. My eyes fluttered shut, and I moaned at the sensation of his tongue exploring my neck and making its way down to my breasts. My hands caressed his bare torso, feeling the heat radiating from his body underneath his clothes. When we were finally naked, he leaned forward, pressing his soft lips gently against mine. My breath quickened as his tongue teased mine. Then he lowered his head, nibbling and sucking on my bottom lip. My hands traveled from his shoulders to his lower back, and I arched my neck upward, allowing him further access. "I love you, Stella," Kenzo whispered in my ears. "I love you too, Kenzo," I whispered, and my eyes teared up with his touch. He took advantage of my position and gently pecked both of my breasts. I gasped, clutching at his back, as the tingle spread from my breast all the way down to my belly. I felt my breathing become heavier and faster. I tugged at his belt buckle, pulling it down and tossing it aside. Then, I guided his mouth on my own. He pulled me closer, deepening the kiss, and his tongue traced my upper lip. He bit me lightly, making me moan loudly. Kenzo moved his lips downward, trailing them against my stomach, and stopped at the top button of my pants. Hurriedly, he undid the clasp of my pants, and he slid his fingers between my thighs. They parted immediately as I felt his fingers slip inside of me. His movements were slow and calculated. I whimpered at the pleasure spreading through my body. My legs wrapped around his waist tightly, urging him on. He stopped moving momentarily, looking at me lovingly. I could see his pupils dilate dangerously. I bit my lip and arched my hips into him, begging him to continue and pleading with him with my eyes. And then he did. He thrust his tongue deep inside of me, causing my body to tremble uncontrollably. His warm fingers continued their journey, working themselves inside of me, leaving trails of pleasure in their path. When he finally entered me fully, I screamed into the kiss. He gripped my hips and began to move faster, thrusting deeply into me. Our bodies shook with each movement as we made love for hours, without stopping. Eventually, he finished and collapsed on top of me. His body trembled slightly as he breathed heavily. I could feel his heart beating rapidly against my breasts, as fast as mine. Slowly, he rolled to my side. He lifted the blanket onto me and kissed me softly, still panting. He stared straight at me, taking in every bit of me. His expression softened as he smiled. "That was beautiful, Stella." He softly kissed my lips. I couldn't help it. Tears fell from my eyes. I buried my face in his shoulder, sobbing silently. He hugged me tighter and whispered comforting words in my ear. "Thank you," I whispered back, my hand running through his silky black hair. "For what?" He questioned, and I tilted my head to look at him. "For everything." "Let's start over?" Kenzo whispered. "Ok," I smiled.
