Lucas and the Arcane Stone

Looking back to the past of Proxima-b, The story of the unforgettable war that shed a lot of blood and took millions of lives in the beautiful world, the world of Crotoa. Before the Great war, the people living there, also known as Crotonians, lived in peace. Our Ancestors Create a Magical stone from the star so beautiful that it had became the protector of Crotoa, The arcane stone. The arcane stone was hidden and placed by King Leuctra and the guardians of the arcane stone in the kingdom of Nethilor. This stone had protected them against from evil who wanted to take over the world. However, some Crotonians had decided to side with Levictus, the dark lord of Novas. The Novas was considered to be the darkest place and was the underworld. Of course, Levictus was one of those people who had wanted to take the arcane stone. But, since he couldn’t get it himself, he ordered the Crotonians who worshipped him to get it for him. The Crotonians, who weren’t on their right mind, managed to successfully get the arcane stone and handed it over to Levictus. And now that Levictus finally has the stone in his hands, the world became dark. The skies turn dark and you could no longer see the sun. The whole Crotoa turned into darkness and you could barely see any light. The Crotonians were turned into slaves and some were sacrificed for death. While Crotonians were suffering and some were dying, King Leuctra and some of the guardians were hiding in a secluded area in Crotoa. They were planning to get the stone back and restore peace and freedom in Crotoa. They then sent a spy back to the palace where the Arcane stone was placed. They successfully got the arcane stone back and used it to defeat Levictus and banned him from Crotoa and the Crotonians had sided him. Crotoa got it’s shine back and everyone could see its beautiful landscape. Freedom and peace were restored. King Leuctra however, had decided to turn the Arcane stone into Six orbs. Each orb had contained and inherited an element. The elements were Fire, Water, Nature, Winter, Wind and Space. After dividing them, he gave them out to trusted Kings of different parts of Crotoa to protect them too. But things didn’t go as King Leuctra had planned. The Kings who held one orb element weren’t satisfied with just one. It all started when one King had stolen an orb from another King. They were very greedy about it too! Everything was in chaos. Every Crotonians and every single village, town and even some cities were in complete chaos. The Crotonians and Kings from different regions had agreed to go into war and whoever wins would get every orb. King Leuctra had heard about this and opposed the idea of war. He tried to calm every side but they had all chose war. Everything was too late, the great war had started and right in front of his eyes, he saw Crotonians getting killed and blood were shed everywhere. As another kingdom attacks theirs, he warns the people to run and he sent the space orb to his best friend Apollo. He kissed his wife, Queen Isabelle goodbye as he instructed him to go with Apollo. They decided to go into another world using the space orb. And surely enough, they were able to make and build a portal and went into the world of Humans. There, they buried the space orb under a forest and made sure it wasn’t going to be found sooner than they had wanted. The portal remained close unless someone had touched the space orb. In that world, Apollo had found a wife and in the same world, Isabelle named his son Lucas, knowing he was cursed to save the world. But sadly, Queen Isabelle had died after giving birth to Lucas due to blood lost. Apollo took Lucas in and lived in this new world. King Leuctra couldn’t just run and hide, so he had also decided to join the war. Unfortunately, King Leuctra was slain and had died amongst the other Crotonians. Ever since then, Crotoa was divided into five lands. Aurea, Island of Golds, The dessert, a rich land that was ruled by King Morfran who betrayed King Leuctra.and he had the Fire Orb. Marinus of Tyre, The jungle. The land that is ruled by Queen Vanari who was with Morfran to steal all the other orbs, Queen vanari own the Nature orb in his hands. Erytrea, land to the shore. The land whose people are friends to the ocean. Fishing of course was their usual occupation for the people. King Adam had ruled the land owning the Sea Orb, although he didn’t want the war in the first place. Just like King Leuctra, he wanted peace in Crotoa. He also ruled the Erythraean sea which is ocean road to the land of Borealis, Winter land, the coldest land of course, Although it’s owned by a king who’s determined to take over the entire Crotoa, King Phaedra, he of course, owns the winter orb. And last , Tethoris, Land of Mountains. The place where the kingdom of Nethilor, although it wasn’t ruled by King Leuctra no more. A new king named Achilleas rules the kingdom and has the wind orb. Because peace was destroyed in Crotoa, Levictus once again entered in its land. He killed and scared wandering Crotonians who were out of their kingdom and the stone’s protection. They lived with Levictus roaming around in several parts of Crotoa and his will to collect every orb and take over the whole Crotoa to his self. “And that’s where the story ends” Grandfather Apollo said "Is that story true?” Little Lucas asked. Apollo laughed and shakes his head. “No, my little one” “Then why was my name in the story?” He asks “I used it to tell you a story” His grandfather replied while coughing “Really? What if you’re lying?” Little Lucas asks His grandfather laughs proudly and asks “Do I look someone who would laugh?” “No” Lucas answered and laughed with him Apollo puts him in his bed. “You should really go to bed Lucas.” He said “You need sleep for tomorrow’s training” He tucks Lucas in and kisses him goodnight. He turned off the lantern on the table beside the bed as Lucas slowly falls asleep. He slowly closes his door as he goes into his own room. “Should I tell him the truth? That he isn’t a human but a Crotonian? That the story I told was real?” He asks himself but he couldn’t sleep due to hesitating to wither tell him or not. Meanwhile, Apollo’s wife, Ara, arrived. Apollo had told Ara about everything including his and Lucas’ history and she had accepted them with her whole heart. They also decided not to tell Lucas for now for his own safety and protection. She snuggles in with Apollo and they both finally sleep. The next day, Grandma Ara had cooked food and prepared Lucas’ uniform for his first training in Historia. Grandfather Apollo was the one who worked hard for his uniform. Lucas had woken up and was already in his uniform that was prepared by his loving grandparents They made sure they raised him well behave and kind They ate together in the table and once they were done, Apollo walked with Lucas to Historia. Luckily, they had owned the horse to get there sooner. When they got to Historia, he drops Lucas off and sees him in training since the school had allowed them for first timers. He saw Lucas how well he could fight and how well he was able to attack and defend others and himself. “Just like his father” Apollo thought This school also had rankings and by the end of the day, Lucas was ranked second amongst everyone else on the same age. When they got home, every one was happy. They ate their meal as usual but Apollo was very proud knowing that the boy could fight well. Wednesday, August 23, just like yesterday, they prepared his uniform and food for his second day of training. Second time Lucas had entered the school Historia, he met two new friends, Nefeli and Anderson. They weren’t friends with him just because he already got a high rank, but because Lucas was considered friendly. He took his new friends with him to his home and both of his grandparents met his new friends. There, they had also found out that both Nefeli and Anderson were orphans. Ara was so happy about the idea to adopt them but Apollo had one condition. “Never be spoiled or be disrespectful” He said The boys agreed to the condition so everyone was so happy to have new members to add to the family. They laughed and ate their dinner happily and it didn’t take them long for Grandfather Apollo and Grandmother Ara to love them as their own too. The next day, Thursday August 24, for the third days for Lucas and his friends, Grandma Ara decided to cook a much more delicious meal for everyone as per usual, Grandfather Apollo was the one to prepare their uniform. However, Grandmother Ara was the one to take them to school since Apollo had gotten sick. When they got into Historia, Lucas saw a boy who held hands with older people. “They seem to be too young to become his grandparents” He thought as he approaches them. “Hi, my name’s Lucas, are those your siblings? They seem to be too young if they’re your grandparents” Lucas said The little boy laughed as he answered his question “No, they’re just my parents” he said “I think you mean ‘grandparents. What is a parent anyway?” confusion struck him as he continued to ask more question “You don’t know?” The mother asks “Where are they? Your parents, I mean. They are the ones who would take care of you and gave birth to you” She said Lucas stood there dumb folded as he tries to take this new information in The sound of the loud bell brought him back to reality as he hurried said goodbye and went to his class They trained together and had gotten compliments from their teachers. After the training, they got fetched by Grandmother Ara again after school. After school, he was so excited to see his grandparents and ask about what he heard earlier “Grandma Ara, where are my ‘parents’? You guys are my grandparents so, where are my parents?” the little boy asks curiously and expected a reasonable answer “Where did you heard that from?” Ara asks “I saw this family at school but the boys’ grandparents looked too young and he explained they were his parents. So, where’s my parents?” He asks “I don’t know” She said, trying to avoid the question “Can I meet them? I want to meet them. Actually" “I'm sorry lucas, I don’t have any information about them anymore.Why don’t we eat some food?” When they got home,the three sees that their grandfather Apollo wasn’t looking or feeling much better. “Grandma, can we please take Grandpa to the infirmary?” Lucas asks as he wipes a tear out of his eyes. He hates seeing people die. “You don’t need to do that” Apollo says as he continues to cough. “But please do remember that you are one of the kindest and strongest kid and remember that I’ll love you forever.” Apollo said, he turns to Nefeli and Anderson “Listen, promise me to be with Lucas while he grows up and be strong with you guys” He said as the two nods their head. They tried not to cry as they understand this situation very clear. And within his last breath, he says “You will be our savior” as his eyes closes. A lot of tears were shed as their Grandfather Apollo dies. A lot came from Grandmother Ara and Lucas as Nefeli and Anderson knew that they weren’t going to know him much better. Everyone cried and mourned over his death that night. The next day, Apollo was buried by the help of their neighbors. Some people also attended his death as they all wore black and had white roses and flowers putted on his grave. They all went back sad over his death while in Historia, Lucas’ rank also went down along with his friends. But as days went by, his friends’ rank slowly went up as he still wasn’t making any progress. He remembers that his grandmother said Apollo would be proud if he got a high rank, and because of this, he had worked much harder.
