When I got a new neighbour

Chapter 2 Sean Usually, when I sleep with a girl at parties, I go all night, and fall asleep with the girl and take a quick one the next morning before parting ways. This time though, I fled as fast as we were done, because it was different and it scared the hell outta me. The worst part is, I don't know exactly how it was different, it just was. Luckily, she was very clear that she didn't want a relationship, so it didn't make me an asshole that I left so quickly. I didn't even know her name. Why do I care about the name, no, no I don't care. I have to admit, usually when I slept with virgins, they tended to become too attached the days after, like there was something between us, but it wasn't. I just hope whoever this girl was were keeping her promise about not becoming clingy or anything. So why did I offer to take her to the nurse. It was like the words just fell out off me. Did someone put some weird drug or anything in my breakfast this morning? Why had I let myself stare at her two times in one day? I guess she was just as confused as me when she gave that weird look right before I carried her off the field. I knew for sure that something like that was not happening again. At least she seemed to be keeping her promise about not getting attached. One thing stuck out. Every time I scored with a hot chick, I found myself bragging about to my group of friends, but this time, I didn't. Why didn't I? I honestly don't know. Maybe she was just such a good lay I felt like I need to do her twice. Yeah, that's probably it. I wonder if she would be up for it. Should I ask her or just let it go? Then I got an idea, not maybe not an original idea, but an ok one. I tore out a piece of paper from my notebook while I was sitting here, bored to death in English. I wrote a short message for her on it, asking her to meet me in the guestroom at the party at Seth's house on Friday. Then after class, I just put the note I her locker. I'm sure she'll show, no one can pass up a night with me. And after that night, she'll be forgotten and this weirdness will be over. Mary Finally, Monday school is coming to an end. I was on my way to get my books for last period. When I opened my locker, a folded piece of paper fell out. I caught it before it landed on the floor and unfolded it easily. Meet me in the guestroom at Seth's house on his party Friday night, 11 PM. Sean Oh my god! Was he seriously thinking I would be up for round two? Just because I lost my virginity to him, didn't mean I wanted to sleep with him again. I rolled my eyes and rolled the piece of paper together and tossed it in the nearest trashcan, which was right inside the classroom for my last period, history. I looked up from the trashcan only to set my eyes on Sean. Luckily, he wasn't looking my way, otherwise he would see me throw away the note, which would be kind of embarrassing. Since notes seems to be the way to communicate right now, I wrote my answer on a piece of paper when I got down on my seat. I have plans this weekend, but If I hadn't, my answer would still be no. Mary I rolled the paper into a ball and threw it at his desk. My aim wasn't that good, so it hit his head instead. At least he noticed the paper this way. He quickly uncurled it, and frowned at my answer. Bet it's his first time being rejected. That thought made me chuckle and I focused on my phone again, texting Lynn and Sasha about the note. The seat on the desk beside me was pulled out and someone sat down. That's weird, I don't sit beside anyone in this class. "You don't need to play hard to get with me princess" his cocky voice sounded beside me. "I'm not playing, I honestly don't want to hop in bed with you again and I really have plans" I answered without looking away from my phone, replying to Lynn and Sasha's shocked texts. "Come on, we both know out of all plans you could have this weekend, I'm the best option anyway, so wear something hot on Friday" he said, still not getting it. I let out a big sigh and finally averted my eyes from my phone and looked at him. "Listen, Player. I have plans, and even if I didn't, I'm just not up for it. I thought I told you I only needed one night" I said the last part slowly, so he knew night number two would never happen. He frowned, like he was thinking hard on something; "Is this a dare or a bet, something like that, is that why you're saying no?" he said, and my eyes widened and I let out a laugh when he actually couldn't see the obvious reason. "No, not a bet, or dare, or anything. I just don't want to. Just find someone else" I shrugged and went back to focusing on my phone. Luckily, the bell for last period rang and class started, making him get back to his original place. Wow, and he was worried I would be clingy? ** "Hey honey, how was school?" my mom's voice said from the kitchen when I walked through the door. Dad is still on his business trip then. Wonder how many times he's going to postpone his homecoming this time. My knees and elbows stopped hurting so bad after an hour or so, so I could walk just fine again. "It was okay, boring as usual, what are you cooking?" I asked, smelling something wonderful as I entered the kitchen. "I'm making chicken, I got a recipe from one at work, and it will be done in an hour" she answered. I just spend the hour getting updated on f******k. I went upstairs to my room, which wasn't too big, but it had all I needed. I slung myself onto the bed, and went on the f******k app on my phone. I had a friend request, from none other than Sean Connors. Maybe I should decline, but that would be kind of rude, so I clicked on accept. I regretted it however when the plopping sound was heard, saying someone just messaged me. That someone being Sean of course. Sean: Changed your mind about Friday?;) He is unbelievable, he is actually worse than an overly attached girl. Me: No. Get the freakin hint! We agreed on one night, and that's it. Sean: Come on, just one more night, you know you want 2;) Me: No means no! What's the big deal, just find someone else on Friday. Sean: What if I said I only want u? Me: Then I would say we both know that's not true. It was silent after that, at least for now. He was starting to get on my last nerve. I should have asked someone else then him that night. Sean: So what are your plans on Friday? I groaned. I can understand now why he wouldn't want me to be attached or clingy, it is so annoying. How do I stop it? Why was he being like this, couldn't he see I had no interest in him, and that a hundred other girls did? Me: Just stop it Sean! Sean: Oh come on, just one more night on Friday. Me: Please stop! I said NO. N.O, and that spells NO! I don't see how much clearer I could be about that. Since when did he start begging girls for night number two, he just moves from girls to girls all the time. Hope he realizes tomorrow how annoying he has been today and will just stop it. Sean: Fine, I'll stop if you tell me your plans on Friday. Me: I'm going to the mall shopping with my friends, happy? Now leave me alone. Finally he backed off. I had no idea why he needed to know my plans on Friday. Maybe he just thought I was bluffing on already being busy Friday night. If he hoped on crashing my plans, he would be disappointed, because the chances of him and I running into each other at the mall are small. ** As I was ready to go to bed that night, I heard a lot of noise outside the house, a lot of cars. Curiously, I looked out my window. I saw that the house beside ours had a moving van in front of it, and a regular car. Out of the car came four people. A woman, a man, a little girl and...wow, a handsome guy. With dark blonde aka light brown spikey hair, jeans, white t-shirt and a leather jacket. Oh please let him be my age so maybe we're going to have the same classes. To prevent myself from staring all night, I tore my eyes away from the gorgeous sight and made my way to the bathroom to brush my teeth. A hot neighbor, that's either good karma or bad karma, I guess I'll have to find out. When I was done brushing my teeth, I just had to look through the window again to see if the handsome guy was still standing outside, although I doubted it. I was a little disappointed when no one was standing outside anymore. Only two moving people carrying in boxes and furniture. I was just about to turn away when a movement across the garden caught me. Since the house was just beside ours, it was placed like we had two windows facing each other with only a few meters of space between. To my happiness, the guy with the awesome hair and hot jacket was moving boxes around the room that was just opposite mine, windows facing each other. I opened my window; "Hey, new neighbor!" I yelled loud enough for him to hear, but not loud enough to wake up the entire street. His head looked up from the box he was currently sorting through. Then his eyes found out the sound came from me. He went to his window and opened it as well. "Hey. Who are you?" he asked. His voice was one of those really sexy voices, like one of those that sounded kind and hot at the same time, and combine that with the looks and you got a dream type kind of guy. "I'm Mary, your neighbor, welcome to the neighborhood" I smiled welcoming. "Thank you, I'm Alex." He smiled back. I love when guys has that perfect smile. "So how old are, are you going to start school here tomorrow?" I said, mentally crossing my fingers for a yes. "Yeah, I'm 17. So I'm not good with directions and the GPS always messes up, you mind showing me the way tomorrow?" he asked. Yes, I was thinking this was defiantly the good karma type, not the bad kind. "Sure, I like to walk though, hope you're not too lazy for it" I raised an eyebrow challenging. "Actually, I'm hoping to make the football team, so I'm in pretty good shape" he answered. Swoon. This guy kept adding dream guy quality after quality. "Good, meet me outside my house at eight then. Good night" I said, giving him another smile. "Okay. Good night, see you tomorrow" he said smiling back. We both closed our windows and then I went to bed, looking forward for tomorrow. ** I found a note on the kitchen island the next day from my mother. Said she was going to work early. Nothing new about that. With a mom working a late nights and early mornings and dad that was gone most of the year, there was obvious how I got to parties so easily without getting grounded, not that I partied so much anyway. I grabbed and apple and then walked out the door with my school bag slung over my shoulder. I heard a door closing from a short distance. I gotta say, Alex was right on time. "Hey, right on the clock" I greeted him. He looked good today, in a navy blue t-shirt, the same leather jacket as yesterday and dark blue jeans. "Yeah, figured I couldn't flunk out on my guide to school" he answered. "I could've stuck around waiting for five minutes, but after that you would've been on your own" I joked, making him chuckle. I took a bite from the apple to stop my stomach from sounding like a thunderstorm. I slept through the alarm this morning, so I hadn't time for breakfast, but I just grab something from the school cafeteria before classes are starting. "So how are the people at the school, anyone I should be aware of?" he asked, and my mind immediately went to Sean. If he was trying out for the team, I hoped he wasn't going to be one of the guys challenging him for the spot as captain. If he was as good as Sean, he would be a threat.  "The captain of the football team, Sean Connors, is kind of a jerk, your typical high school player. Just don't challenge him if you make the team and you should be fine. Other than that, it is okay people, and my best friends Lynn and Sasha are awesome" I informed him, hoping he would take what I said about Sean seriously. "Good to know." He said and nodded. "By the way, there is no if I make the team, but when I make the team" he said and winked at me. I laughed at his over confidence. We talked rest of the way, getting to know each other a bit more. Mostly about the basics, like favorite color, food, movies, bands and hobbies. He was also telling me about his family, and I envied him a lot when he told about all the places they had been on vacation together. My parents would always find an excuse to not do something family-ish together. By the time we turned around the corner and got the school in sight, I was laughing so hard from a story he told about one time they went swimming and he lost his bathing shorts when he jumped in the water. It was also the way he told it which made it so funny. I had laughed so much all the way here that my stomach was starting to hurt and my cheeks ached from the laughing and tears were appearing in the crook of my eye. I saw my friends sitting at one of the bench tables. I waved at them and dragged Alex with me. "I want you to meet my friends Lynn and Sasha" I said when we got over to them. "Hey. Lynn, Sasha, this is Alex, he moved into the house next door yesterday, so he's my new neighbor. Alex, this is Lynn and Sasha, my friends" I introduced them to each other. "Oh, and by the way, that is Sean, the guy I told you about" I warned and pointed to Sean who just got out of his black sleek car at the parking lot. "So, want me to show you where to get your schedule, locker number and stuff?" I asked him, eager to see if we had some of the same classes. Maybe I finally could have someone to sit by in history too. "Sure, lead the way" he smiled, gestured with his hand to show the way. In reality, I just wanted to put so much space between Sean and me as possible. I had a sneaky feeling he wouldn't keep his word from last night and leave me alone. After all, he wasn't exactly the poster boy for keeping words and following rules. The administration wasn't too far away. "Hey, I'm here to pick up my schedule and locker number and combination. My name is Alex Jensen" he said politely to the administration woman. She was always grumpy and rude, no one liked her. You know this sour grumpy looks old woman gives you? She just gave one to the both of us before going through some files and handed one to Alex without a word and then turned back to her computer. I just gave him a 'let's get out here look'. "So, how's your schedule?" I asked. He pulled a paper out of the file and studied it. "Can I see it, I just want to know if we have some classes together?" I asked him when he didn't say anything at first. "Sure, here" he smiled and handed me his schedule. We had Math together, History and chemistry. "We have a few classes together, as for right now, we both have chemistry. So I guess we can walk to class together then" I said, so happy we had at least a few classes together. We had most classes together on Monday, but as for the rest of the week we were mostly on our own. "Then I guess you're right, I have no clue where any of these rooms are" he answered. "I do, so just follow me" I smiled and led the way to chemistry class. I had to stop by my locker first though, to get my books. Alex would get his books in the class anyway so I could show him his locker later. ** I would have invited Alex to sit with me and my friends at lunch, but I decided to let him find a seat himself instead of being invited to a table with just me and the girls. I had no idea where he was yet either. I however stood in the lunch line. I was thinking of getting and ice coffee and one of those salads with crushed nacho chips. "I really like my new neighbour" I started telling. Lynn was waiting with me while Sasha found us an unoccupied table. "Okay...?" she stretched out the word. I smiled and rolled my eyes; "He's our age, and he's really cute, he's started school here today, trying out for the football team too" I said, noticing how I needed to stop myself from rambling. "Nice, what was his name again?" she asked, now she got it. "His name is Alex. I walked with him to school today. He's so nice Lynn, you guys have to meet him properly and not just a short introduction like today before school started" I said, finding myself wanting to show off my hot new neighbor. "Where is he then?" she said and started scanning the cafeteria for new faces. I looked too to see if he was here yet, but he wasn't. "He isn't here-"I started saying, but then I saw him walking through the doors. "Oh, there he is" I said and pointed towards the entrance. "Could you get some nacho salad for me, I'm going to go say hey" I asked her, giving her some money. "Sure" she smiled. He looked a little unsure if he was going to bother getting in the insane long lunch line. "Hey, so how's first day going so far?" I smiled at him as I got to where he was standing. "Hey. It's okay, a little boring though, but school always is" he answered. He was right about that. "True, but it'll be better once you settle in. So this is maybe not the best option for a guy, but do you want to sit with me and the girls, now, for lunch?" I asked him, hoping he would say yes. "Sure, if this line ever get shorter" he chuckled. "Yeah, they don't usually get this long, because most of the days, people re out eating at a burger place or something" I said. If I had known the line would be this long when Alex showed up, I would have suggested that we meet outside the school at lunchtime to grab some McDonalds or something instead, but it was a little late now. Well, come find us whenever you have gotten your food, we're sitting right over there" I told him and pointed to our table. "I'll be there" he said with a wink and then went to the back of the line, which have gotten a little bit shorter than before. I met up with Lynn who carried our food on a blue plastic tray. It was when we sat down I realized I have developed a small crush on Alex. He was just so easy to talk to, fun and good looking. He also hope to make the football team. He is what I would describe close to perfect.
