Piper gasped at Joel"s words. She could well imagine how the doctor would give in to such demands. She knew she would have too if somebody threatened her boys. Thinking for a moment, Piper remembered she had at some point met his daughter at a local function. She vaguely remembered the granddaughter as being a perky little six-year-old with pigtails. As she envisioned the granddaughter, her anger rose a couple of notches. "So, did Dr. Bryce agree to change his evidence?" Piper asked Joel as she played with the straw from her drink. "Yes, he agreed to their demands. But he didn"t let it go at that.
