Mortal World, Haro Plaza
"Why are you looking at the sun, brother Abraham? Aren't you not contented with the ray of light it emits?" Isaac saw Abraham sitting and leaning his body on one of the posts of the gazebo.
"Nothing, Isaac," he replied without looking at him. But, Isaac is not the one he can lie to him.
"Look at my eyes, brother Abraham," he motioned his face and stared at his eyes, going deeper into his thoughts while Abraham just couldn't stop staring at him. Eventually, he gave up and tell Isaac. Joseph is in front of the cathedral, selling Sampaguita. "I told you, you can't resist my handsomeness."
"All right. You won. You always won, actually. That is the right term," he said returning his gaze on the sun.
"I know right. And why do you keep staring at the sun? Does your eyes even burn from looking at it?" Isaac is right. Normal people can't even look at the sun for seconds. They have to wear protection such as sunglass to see the sun, but then it won't last long because the sun's rays can made them blind if they'll continue staring at it. But, he was different.
"I know, but you know me, Isaac. I'm different. I was only looking at the sun to ponder about things," he started the conversation with a deep sigh.
"That was a long breath, brother Abraham. I'm all ears, now. You may continue," Isaac squats in front of him then he turned his stare on him, continue leaning his back on the post of the gazebo.
"I was thinking, what if I came from the star? You know, the sun is the giant star in our solar system, right?"
"Yes, you are correct. And what does it have to do with your thoughts, brother Abraham?" he replied trying to put the pieces of what's going on with Abraham's mind.
"Well, I have powers. And people only see my kindness behind my blue cape and mask as their new friendly neighborhood," he continued.
"Can you elaborate? Is it about yesterday after you saved the cat?" Isaac keeps on tracking their conversation. He's not just a normal twelve years old kid that has a mind of an adult. And Abraham was lucky enough to find someone like him.
"Yeah. It happened yesterday. Humans praised me for saving a cat. An animal. And I heard a lot of compliments, but at the back of my mind, it was not real comments," since yesterday, the words he heard from those humans bothered him, and he was torn between trusting them or not.
"I understand. You were torn between trusting them or not, right, brother Abraham?" Isaac got his point and he looked at him face to face.
"And what can you say about that, little man?" he is now eager to listen to what Isaac has to say next.
"Humans heart are treacherous. Only few has the heart to compliment one for a job well done. But, most of the time, humans are cruel in nature. Trusting them is like finding a needle on a haystack. I am not saying that all of them are unworthy, okay?" Isaac shook his head and continue to uplift his spirit to make a decision. "What I was saying is, you can trust human. We can trust them wholeheartedly. We can help them as much as we can without expecting in return."
"What if their hearts and intentions are not pure? How can you defend humans on what they usually did to me, whenever I am helping them in my real self?" Abraham doesn't know how to react to Isaac's words, but he did his best to understand.
"It's not about the intentions, or the hearts of the human that made you help them, right? It was your heart and pure intention that made you become a superhero of your own, brother Abraham. Ignore those who sees you unworthy to be a superhero, but accept those who loves you behind those mask and blue cape humans saw every day. Like I said, whether the one you are saving are deserving or not, it is still up to your pure heart to decide helping them. After all, and at the end of the day, someone like me is here to comfort you, brother."
The words of a twelve years old always left Abraham's mind hanging on a spider's web. It struck his heart like thunder and lightning poured tremendously from the sky. It was deep and encouraging. That is why Abraham wondered how a twelve years old like him has the mind of an adult.
"That was deep, Isaac. Are you sure that you're a human? It seems that you came from a magical world full of intelligent creatures. Like an angel from the sky. Are you a cherub or something?" he was joking at him, but at the same time hug Isaac, and thank him for his inspirational and encouraging words.
"What is this all about? Is there something I didn't know while I was away?" Abraham saw the appearance of Joseph, holding their favorite viands and drinks.
"Adobo and chicken. Mountain dew!" Abraham and Isaac both said in chorus after seeing their favorites on Joseph's hands, making them forget what he asked from them.
"Thank you for this, brother Joseph," Isaac put a big smile on his face after grabbing his viand, rice, and mountain dew.
"Thank you, too Joseph. Let's eat?" Abraham did the same thing. He was hungry and immediately take his food, leaving the remaining viands, rice, and drinks on Joseph's hands.
"Why are they acting like they did not hear my question? I wonder what they were hiding from me?"
Joseph stared at both of them while having a sip of his mountain dew then sat beside Abraham, and started eating. He keeps looking at them eating like a hungry beggar who haven't eaten for a month of walking around the plaza.
"Stop eating like a beggar. Eat slowly, will you?" he was talking to both of them and the two nodded then went back eating. "They aren't normal."
