2105 Words
Though the dresses were nothing like the ones she was used to, he knew that she was going to be beautiful in them. Not wanting to waste so much time, Gael did so quickly in order to return home before she could start with her naughty attitude again. "Why is he buying lady's clothes and who are they for?" Lisa asked looking from where she was standing. She was bent on fighting for his love and not wanting to relent, she stood there quietly as she watched him buy and get finished. Just asked Gael was about to leave the shop after paying for what he had purchased, Gael heard his phone ring inside his pocket. Taking the plastic bag from the shop owner, Gael took out his phone from his pocket while walking outbid the store and looking at the caller, he saw that Tasha was the person calling him. "Hello," he answered immediately he picked up the call and Tasha talking from a noisy area, let to Gael not being able to listen to her from there. Trying his best to make out the words that she was saying, He finally decided to hang up his phone from not being able to listen to her properly. Wanting to move an inch with the hope of calling her back, a message entered his phone saying, "I am at the airport and I cannot hear you, can you please leave a message and I will reply to it as soon as I get the chance? thanks for understanding." At that point, Gael noticed that he was left alone to take care of Yvonne and he couldn't blame Tasha as he was fully aware of what he had signed up into though it was taking another turn. But thinking about the money and the balance he was to receive as well as all the good things the deal was to bring to him. Yvonne was getting herself little by little and she was helping Mrs. Cruz despite her multiple refusals for her not to stress herself. She did not even know what she was doing with the tomatoes on the chopping board and she was already feeling embarrassed. "You need help with that?", she asked noticing how hard she was trying to chop the tomatoes that were given to her. Yvonne felt ashamed and she lowered her head but she was surprised that Geals mom was very patient with her and she did not make a mockery of her. Speaking slowly from between her teeth, she told Mrs. Cruz that she did not know how to cook and she had maids who were in charge of different chores at their home. " You do not need to explain anything to me, my dear, just looking at you, I could tell that you were not born and raised like the rest of us but your heart makes the difference and that was what attracted me to you the moment you opened your eyes child," she muttered to Yvonne and yes that was the reason why she was being nice to her. Mrs. Cruz meant everything she said to Yvonne and she could not still believe how a lady with such affluence don't be as calm and polite as her. Pushing the plat that was on the table to the side, she began to show Yvonne how she was to place the knife so as to chop the promotes without getting cut. She was happy to learn all those things that she had categorically forgotten that she was there because she had a sprain. Yvonne had forgotten about her house and her job and not even realizing that her best friend had not called her since morning, she was busy enjoying every bit of what she was learning at the settlement. The whole point of having such a good woman mentor her, made her feel like she had a mother by her side but it was quite unfortunate that she was involved in taking care of a man who was not reciprocating all she was doing for him. There was one breeze that passed and the air was so refreshing making her hair move all over. Feeling the beauty of the place, Mrs. Cruz asked her what her plans for the day were and that question refreshed Yvonne's memory of the many things she always does on Sundays. Screaming out in recollection, Yvonne sliced her hand as she had lost her focus on what she was going. Gael was just walking into the yard at that time and the speed that he used to get inside was alarming as he thought that something bad had happened to her. "What is wrong Yvonne, what happened?" he asked before his mother could even do something about Yvonne's bleeding hand and seeing the blood on the chopping board, he asked his mom why she had to let her chop the tomatoes. But Yvonne stopped him from getting bad at his mom, she told him that it was her choice to do what she did as she wanted to learn how to do those things bit Gael was so mad at her on hearing that he yelled out saying, "You know that you are not used to these things so you shouldn't force them, what are you trying to prove huh?" he asked taking her hand to have a look but Yvonne did not like it when she was been scolded and not being able to comprehend why he was in that state, her eyes were already filled with tears. "Hey, why are you talking to her like that, she did nothing wrong but to help me in the kitchen so why are you all upset?" his mom asked not knowing what was going wrong with her son and that was when Gael came back to his senses, realizing all the hurtful things that he had said to Yvonne but it was too late as her face was already covered with tears. Lowering his gaze, he had no idea of what to do but just as he was about to apologize, Yvonne looked at him in the eyes and cried out herself, she could not believe that Gael had spoken to him like that. The memories that he had created that morning with the kiss that he had given her had all evaporated. Yes, Yvonne was a stubborn lady but she did not expect Gael to tell her all the things she had just listened to. In an attempt to hold her hands, Yvonne struggled to walk out on him but Gael told her to wait and the tone that she used to respond to him was crazy as she yelled out asking him what she had done for him to detest her that much and his mother did not know what to do in order to stop Yvonne from saying all that she was saying. Gael's anger had gotten the best part of him but he did not even know why he was behaving that way towards her though he was scared when he saw that her hand was bleeding because he did not want anything to get him into trouble with Tasha. But realizing that he had gone too far with his words, he tried to apologize but Yvonne saw that maybe she was thinking so much about all the things he was doing to her and maybe he was just generally like that with every lady because he is the gentleman type but his heart was still with his girlfriend and he might just be using her in order to forget about his lady. Lisa hid in a corner enjoying the show that she was observing thinking that Gael and his newfound love were having a couple of problems not knowing that she was wrong on all the lines. Letting out a peal of devilish laughter, she held onto her dress tightly while looking at Yvonne's face that was filled with so many tears. Those two days have been throat remarkable ones for Yvonne both positively and negatively and not getting to understand how she had gotten to that point, her head was spinning like a ball and all she wanted was to leave from there as nothing was going to be more pleasing to her than to sit in her house and behave like something like that never happened In as much as she did not want what she had felt when Gael took care of her in the night and also when he place that unexpected kiss on her lips, she wished to do hard that all that could be a dream as she could not recognize herself anymore. Her mind was a mess so was her life, she easily got angry and talked too much just in the name of quarreling. Turning her gaze in direction of his mom, she thanked her for taking care of a girl that she knew nothing about and for treating her like she did without looking at her shortcomings, but her mouth let words of apology when she told her that she could not continue sitting in her house. Her leg had not been healed yet but she had to leave as the environment was peaceful and she was happy to have known that such a place exists but some people have a particular problem with her. Letting some words of consolation out of her mouth, Mrs. Crux could see the sadness that was burning inside her eyes as tears dripped out of them, and walking closer to Yvonne, she caressed her hair with a smile on her as she said to her calmly, "My house will always be open to you and I hope that my son's misconduct will not make you forget a lonely woman like me who has found someone like you with such a good heart." Her words brought into her a feeling that she had not felt for a long time. It had been long since someone cared for her that much and we had gotten used to having just Tasha as her confidence but taking Mrs. Cruz's hands, she made a promise to her saying that she was going to pass by whenever she had the time to. Nodding her head in agreement to what Yvonne had said, she told her that she was going to hold on to her words for she knows that she is a good lady. While all this was happening, Gael had never seen his mom shower so much love on any lady as she did with Yvonne and yes, he had concluded that Yvonne was indeed special. Lisa's heart was tearing apart in anger as she watched the whole scenario from where she was hiding and saw how affectionate Gaels mom was to Yvonne, she felt like murdering her without any remorse. Lisa was aware that Mrs. Cruz had never liked her and the feeling was reciprocal as she had never liked her as well but her son Gael was still in love with her and that was something that she was certain about. Convincing herself that his mom was the person who had plotted for him to leave her as she had found someone who was very rich and sophisticated for her son, Lisa decided that she was going to deal with Mrs. Cruz on her way. The goodbyes were done and Yvonne walking slowly as she could still feel some lain in her ankle, went into the house and picked up her little bag and cell phone, her gaze turned to the side where her car key was lying down as well. Making her to the veranda, she took out her card from her bag and handed it over to Mrs. Cruz saying, "You can call me anytime you feel like and I will always be there waiting for your call okay?" she mumbled giving her a complimentary coupon with a smile on her face. Added to what she had told her, Yvonne also let her know that she was going to be of help to her if she ever needed anything and Gael listening to Yvonne speaking, felt a kind of joy that he had never felt before in his life. Asking himself how someone could be that beautiful, intelligent, rich, and at the same time so humane, was a question that he found so difficult to answer. Yvonne and Mrs. Cruz hugged each other tightly and she turned to Gael telling him to take care of his mom as she is a special woman.
