Chapter 20

1120 Words
Lisa who had been following them saw everything from behind the cars where she was hiding and her blood boiled down other veins as she promised to make Yvonne's life a living for coming in between them. She was wowed by the kind of life she was having but to her, it was not enough for her to have stolen her boyfriend away and she was bent on having him back. Nodding her head to the fact that she had seen where she lives, Lisa waited for them to talk to the elevator so that she could continue following them to see her apartment number but she was drastically being interrupted by a security warden who had noticed how suspicious she looks in the position that she was in. Lisa had immediately made her way out of there before things could get rough for her and not wanting Gael to notice her presence, it was better for her to flee but she was happy after knowing where she could meet up with Yvonne anytime she wanted. "I need to go back down," Yvonne spoke out but Gael behaved like he was not listening to her, he began to move towers the Elevator asking her what her floor number was and also her apartment number but Yvonne playing tough to get, sealed her lips. Gael was tired of her naughty attitude and something was telling him to leave her there and return to his house but another voice instructing that he fix the mess that he had created, gave him the go-ahead of tease the hell out of Yvonne. There was a devilish smile that had cropped up on his face letting him move his had closer to her ears whole saying, "You know that I can get the information that I want from you right now on this spot right." Yvonne felt a weak feeling taking over her being just at the whispering of his voice and trying so hard to resist him, her whole being found it difficult to do so as it had fallen under his spell. Gael felt her weak body in his arms, so he used that as an opportunity to move to the elevator while keeping his gaze on her gorgeous face. Yvonne felt her body getting cold and her feet were warm from anxiety just having to be in his arms. His countenance was still normal but some traces of a smile could be seen on it. Holding her peace, she had no intentions of spoiling that moment though she was still mad at him. Gael stood inside the elevator with Yvonne in his arms but it looks like he was not having anyone on them. Yvonne was light and her small size body was perfect for him to pick her up and drop her down anytime she wished. Taking the corridor after the elevator door had been opened, she told him to put her down but he replied, "Stop being stubborn Yvonne because it is not going to help you any way," his words came out of his mouth. Yvonne wanted to fight him so badly but she was aware of the fact that she was not as physically strong as him. Reaching her apartment, she told Gael to put her down as she had arrived and Gael not wanting to let her go, asked her to open the door so that they could go inside but Yvonne not wanting to be with him nor to see him, she asked him to put her down. " Will you open the door or do you want me to do so for you?" he asked keeping his stare on her and Yvonne realizing how serious he was, she had no choice but to do as he was saying because he did not look like he was joking. Yvonne told him to put her down so that she could take out the keys from her bag and Gael glancing at her, warned her not to do anything stupid. She brought out the keys from her bag and put them inside the door lock. Pushing the door as she held the handle, Yvonne walked slowly into her apartment that she had missed for a whole day. The joy of seeing it made her heart leap inside her chest while her eyes moved around in wonder. Listening from behind, he listened to Gael raising a question, "Don't tell me you live here all by yourself?" and Yvonne turned slowly to have a look at his face, her mouth was opened with her lips suspended not knowing what to say as she looked at his surprising glimpse. Yes, everyone who walked into her cottage, was always carried away by what they saw and telling her Gael to close up his mouth before swallowing hundred of flies, he looked at her in immediately in shame. He could tell that she was rich but not at that point. Her building alone could buy half of the community where he stays in and her apartment was furnished with luxurious things. Bringing back his mind to earth, she said, "Thank you for bringing me back home and as you can see, I can manage from here so shut the door on your way out." Lisa walked back in anger wondering why Gael had to do something like that to her, whereas she has been doing her best to be a good girlfriend. Asking herself whether she was not good enough for him, she squeezed her fist in resentment as she could not let Gael to go. "He is my man and I will do all it takes to keep him to myself and that at any cost," Lisa spoke out taking out his phone to make a call that was important to her. Tasha was still with her annoying and demanding Mother-in-law and there was no escape for her. She normally detested seeing her mother-in-law because the latter did not like her in the first place and she had never wanted her son to marry someone who is older than her but Tasha and her husband loving themselves so much, told her to bless their married as they were going to still do it with or without her consent. Letting out a sigh, she looked around looking for a place to get a cold bottle of water, and cursing the day she had met come across her mother-in-law, she walked slowly looking for a boutique which was out of the one where they were shopping in. Forgetting that she had promised to Call Gael in order to check on her friend, Tash was exhausted like an animal that had been beaten for hours.
