"Elle!" Louis shook me awake. I open one eye, and the other slowly. "You're still awake?" "It's already dawn, Elle. Anyways, Good Morning! I hope you have a peaceful sleep last night," he said and sat properly. I looked at him and raised one eyebrow. "How could I sleep with a peaceful mind, If I saw my parents infected and craving for flesh?" He chuckled. " I thought you hated people?" "But not my parents, I love them more than my life!" I said while holding back the tears that were ready to flow from my eyes. "Sorry!" he said and hugged me. "Everything has an end, a cure will come! Trust me." "I don't think so. Anyways, let me sleep again!" I groaned and plopped on my bed again. "I made breakfast, and you need to eat now." I faced him with a surprised look. "You made what?" I asked. "I cooked ramin, and heated up a can of beans." He smiled as he stood up and picked a gun, and packed some things. "Wait!" I scoffed. "Where are we going?" "Stay here and eat your breakfast. I will check if there are still alive in the town," Louis said. "Can I go with you?" I asked. He shook his head and smiled. "No you can't. Stay here, sleep, rest and be safe always!" he said while patting my head. I can't deny, he's really a gentleman, kind and a man that girls would dream to have and marry. I shook my head to erase the things that I am thinking. This is pretty insane. I must not give my trust to him. "Goodluck, and take care!" I replied and forced my lips to form a smile. "I will!" He waved his hands and locked the door. After I ate, I threw myself into the bed. But suddenly, I heard someone's groaning. Is it Louis? I stood up quickly and pulled out the gun under my bed. Louis gave this to me last night. I ran downstairs, and observed the whole unit, but there was no one to find. I flip the curtains and open the close sliding glass window. Suddenly my heart stopped beating, and I couldn't even move my legs apart. I'm scared! I'm nervous! Zombies might come up here and eat me. A bunch of zombies are trying to climb in the walls. They are more wild than before, and create too loud sounds. This is creeping me out. I don't know what to do! I scratch my head, bite my lips, and almost punch the walls in my room while thinking of some crazy plan. I grab my bag and slowly walked to find the exit door. I need to find Louis. His house is not safe anymore. I ran downstairs while securing the whole place. And I was supposed to open the door when someone grabs my hands. "Shhhh, they are coming!"I slowly looked at him, and I felt relief when I found out that it was Louis. "You didn't leave?" I asked. "I don't, because I know you need me," he smiled but I just threw him a shut up look. "What should we gonna do?" I ask nervously. "Are we going to die now?" I continued. "We are not yet dying! We will stay here for a while, and if the way is already clear, we will leave this place and we need to find the safe zone," he explained calmly. "Safe zone? Oh, c'mon there is no safe zones anymore," I murmured. "I still believe that there is a safe zone despite of this zombie breakout," he replied while smiling at me. "Are you insane?" My voice rises as I faced him. He suddenly covered my mouth and hugged me. "Shhhh, they might hear you," he whispered. I shut my mouth up, and sat beside him. I close my eyes, and remember the days before this disaster happened. Did I really waste the chances that have given to me before? I admit, I was wrong about what I did. To my classmates, my schoolmates, to my family, relatives and even to strangers that I've meet. Now, there will be no more fun. Survival and killings are the essential thing to do, for us to live a long life. I'm bothered of the thought If I will fight, and hide or I will let myself be infected too. Why do I need to hide and survive, if my family wasn't there? What's the purpose of all? "Are you alright?" Louis patted my shoulder. "I don't think so." I released a deep sigh. Silence cover us again, but suddenly we heard a simultaneous gun shots from nowhere. "Does it mean that there are still survivors in the town aside from us?" I asked. "Yes!" said Louis with a wide smile on his face. We started walking along the stairs carefully making a steps not to make any sounds. I saw that there are plenty of zombies outside, they were surely waiting for us. The h*ck, what's wrong with this world! A walking dead craving for flesh came into reality. If I'm not mistaken this is my favorite type of story when I was young. Now I realize it is not a funny thing nor a joke. But my big question is, how do this happened? "Hey, here Elle!" Louis called me and held my left hand. I follow his pace and holding tight to my gun. "How can we escape from this place?" I frowned and lean against the wall. "Think positive, God will help us," said Louis and smiled. He is an optimistic person, and he's not even showing any fear on his face. "Hello is there anybody here?" From a distance we heard someone yelling. We immediately opened the exit door. Devon was shocked upon seeing me. I just ignored them and let Louis entertain them. "Our school campus is still safe, Elle!" said Hailey. "You still remember me?" I surprisingly asked. "Of course! But, what happened to our bodies? We're just 17 last time but when we wake up, I think we are in the age of 19." I shook my head and roll my eyes. I'm also clueless. I have no idea about this. The only thing I know, is I'm in pain!
