Chapter two
Kelvin spun that same moment, and his gaze fell on Ellie, who was approaching him.
“You look so bad and downcast; do you want me to punch those morons’ faces?”
Elle forced out a smile. “It’s okay, I’m fine now.”
He nodded slightly. ”Take a seat over there. I will come and meet you.” He pointed to one of the private sections.
Ellie nodded, and she left for there. She sat there, and her eyes wandered around the room.
“See who we have here, my friend hot chic!” That was how Ryan always praised her beauty.
Ellie, and she turned in the direction the voice came from, Her gaze suddenly fell on a familiar figure approaching her table. Right, another thing she knew about Kelvin. He is Kelvin's right hand, his best friend, Ryan.
“You look so sexy as ever,” she added.
“Stop flattering me.” Ella's face flushed red. Her face suddenly dropped, even though she had such a pretty face and sexy body that was a perfect fit for a beautiful female lead, yet she couldn’t get the role no matter how much she tried.
“Did you say something to her?” Kelvin walked towards them. Even though he had been at another table, he had his eyes fixed on her, and he noticed her change of expression.
“N- no, I didn’t say anything offensive,” Ryan said immediately.
“It’s okay, I’m fine.” Elle smiled at the two.
“I will leave you lovey-dicey to talk,” Ryan said and left their side.
“Are you sure you are fine? Do you need me to do anything?” Ryn asked, looking as if he could really do something to Vivian.
She smiled. Even though he could look scary sometimes, Ellie knew he had the softest heart. He couldn’t even hurt a single fly. Even a small spider scared him so much.
“I will be fine on my own. Don’t worry.” She took a deep breath before she continued. “I will go to more auditions until I ace it.”
“I know you can do it.” Kelvin smiled at her. Ellie didn’t know that would make her break down into tears. Maybe she can’t do it any longer. She wiped her tears quickly, but Kelvin already saw them.
Ryan suddenly came to their table, interrupting their conversation. “You need to check this out!” He exclaimed. Ella could sense the urgency in his voice.
“Can’t it be later?” Kelvin glanced at Ellie, who was a little curious about what was going on. He didn’t want to leave her alone. “It’s quite urgent and important,” Ryan mumbled. He moved closer and whispered something into Kelvin's ear. Ellie couldn’t hear what he said, but she caught a glimpse of the name 'Miguel.’
He is a notorious mafia boss!
Elle had heard so much about him. How he brought so much fear to people in the city. He is ruthless and dangerous, and he kills people like chicks.
The man who is always fond of cleaning his crime scene with no traces. There was always no evidence against him. That was part of the reason the cops never caught him. He is fond of wiping off the witness at his crime scene.
What does Kelvin have to do with a man like that? She thought.
Before she could ask any questions, Kelvin turned to him and said in his calm voice, “I will be right back. Wait right here.”
Seeing the seriousness on his face, Ellie had no choice but to nod. She had never seen him this way. She watched him get on his feet and leave.
Ellis couldn’t understand what was going on, but she was a little worried. After waiting for more than twenty minutes, Kelvin didn’t show up, causing her to be more worried.
She got on her feet and walked through the mini passage. She could hear the loud sound of music coming from the rooms where the men were having fun.
Ellie decided to take a peek into every room since she knew everywhere in the clubhouse.
She peeped into every room, causing an intrusion, but yet there was no sight of Kelvin anywhere.
“Where could he be?” She was getting more worried.
Ellie halted in front of the last door. The VVIP room. Even though she knew everywhere in the clubhouse, there was one room that was forbidden for her. The VVIP room. Kelvin had told her never to step foot in there.
Kelvin must have entered there!
Ellie's heart raced as she moved closer to the VVIP room. She leaned closer to the door, trying to eavesdrop, and caught a glimpse of what was going on inside. Suddenly, she heard a noise coming from the restroom.
It was Kelvin's voice. Ellie ran towards the restroom immediately.
The moment she opened the door, Ellie froze at the scene in front of her. She saw Kelvin in the basin room, but he wasn’t alone. A man stood tall in front of him. Ellie trembled at the sight of the man. It was the most wanted criminal in the city, the notorious mafia boss. The man who had been holding a gun since the age of ten. No one knew where he got his power or strength from. Miguel Yates!
And right in his hands was a pistol pointed at Kelvin’s skull.
