Chapter 6

Mira's point of view

"Hey, what do you want to eat?" I ask Mattheo while both of us are staring at the ceiling and both waiting for each other's next move. I guess both of us are each other's parasites.

"Anything." He replied.

"How're your wounds?"

It's been a week after we got into trouble thanks to the lunatic child named Salem Zenith. Things happened so fast like it's just flashed into my eyes. Freddy offered me to have a tour but I refused since the routes I only have are my classes and our dorm. Moreover, after we got stuck in the riot, Lady Marionette crashed into the place and stop them with her yell. I bet too that twisted child got suspended too.

"The school's physician heal it without leaving any scars." Mattheo scratched his head and yawn. I was about to speak but thankfully, I checked him to confirm if he's sleeping so I don't look crazy by speaking alone. Well, he's a cat and they sleep several hours a day. He even sleeps in our class.

'But I don't want to be a girl with mental issues.'

"Mira? Mattheo? Can I come in?" It's Freddy who's on the other side. He probably has some news for the two of us since he always spilling the beans.

"Sure," I replied before hugging my knees like a child. Freddy opened the door and excitedly closed it then sit on the single couch near me.

"Nothing." He automatically said since he knows that I'm going to ask him.

"I just want to stay here to distance myself to other elves. Here is the place where I can find peace." Freddy added.

"Then lock your room and use your magic."

"I did that but I don't want to use magic this time and I also want to tell you something after I remember this." He looks around first before leaning at me, "I remember that those hybrids are having an alliance with vampires, dwarves, and other creatures here." He said in full of excitement and a glint in his eyes.

'Seems like he's a big fan of those two.'

"When those two made you as their target, especially the wolf, he won't stop until he got you. I can tell that you're in great trouble."

"Aside from that, that Phoenix are usually got bounded at the chambers inside the Collie nan sithichean's Meredith forest. That unending forest is guarded by the shifter God of the sky and calamity named Clio and the abyssal and also the God of devastation, Vermon." Freddy grinned then waved his hands in the air as if he's trying to remove the invisible object in front of him.

"Let's forget that, I don't want her to show up here again and rip my nose this time." He laughed nervously.

"By the way, what are you a shifter? Vampire? Fairy? Harpy? Mage?" I shrugged off his question before looking at him, "I don't know."

"Maybe you're a half-human half harpy."

'I'm not a winged creature.'

"No, birds don't curse."

"But Salem did. Well, you don't look like an elf nor a fairy. It's extremely impossible if you're a dwarf. You can't even shift or get bother if you smell blood. Maybe you're a---"

'You better stop.'

"I'm hungry, let's go to the cafeteria to eat." I cut him off then drag him outside, "Your treat okay?" Freddy smiled despite confusion before letting me drag him out of the place.

"I forgot my wallet because of hunger.....Freddy?" I stop walking after finding out that Freddy is not in my grasp anymore and I'm standing in the middle of the unfamiliar place with dark hallways. The only lighting here are those candles from the chandeliers that hanging on the ceiling.

"Freddy? Where are you?"

"Freddy this is not a good joke."

"Freddy--"

"What are you doing here?!" I almost jump by his loud voice that can compare to the thunder that rumbled into the whole hallway, "Man, why do I smell Zachary's smell all over you? Are you his claim?" A man asks while covering his nose. He's possessed by the crimson-colored eyes that judge you silently.

"You know that bastard? Where am I? Who are you?"

"Yeah? The hallways changed it's routed again so you're in the vampire's dorm or territory. Knowing my name won't help you to get out of here." He motioned Mira to start walking, "Just walk and don't ask too many questions. Will you? You'll wake up the leader of this dorm. It's not good news if he wakes up from his slumber. Now, stand there."

"Why do I smell sweet blood here?" Another man looked at Mira with a deviant smirk on his face then called the rest of the vampires.

"She's none of your business!" The guy who found Mira first defended her from the rest.

"Haven't you smelled that? She smelled like the wolf!"

"We don't care, we want blood." He motioned Mira to start running while preventing the rest to get close to her. I'm not myself if I turned my back easily at someone who helped me. I dragged the guy on my back then swings my feet to kick the delinquent on his glory before running away together with the guy who helped me. My foot started throbbing because of the hard kick earlier but the most important thing to me right now is to escape this place.

"After them!"

"Can you run faster than that one?" I strived to run fast as him yet all of my efforts got meaningless so the boy effortlessly carried me then run at his full speed. I can't even take a single glimpse at everything because of the air and this guy's speed.

"We need to get on Salem or Zach's place before they drain your blood." Those vampires are still tailing us but not until when a familiar and strong whiff of someone entered my nose.

"I know you'll come to me but not early as this one." I glared at the annoying and perverted guy named Zachary who's standing and smiling like a ball of sunshine.

Now I know, this thing is about making me come here. My gaze averted to those vampires who have been chasing us shouted in glory.

"Thank you for taking this girl for me. You can leave now."

"What do you want now, hound?! Your bird friend gives us sleepless nights in fear if she comes back and destroys the whole dorm! What do you want?!"

"Settle this matter, of course."
