Chapter 4

"Stay the f**k away from Mira," Mattheo warned Salem who's busy whistling on the side and ignored what he just said and preferred to be silent than clapping back on him. He paused on walking when his whole vision got enveloped by pitch-black darkness as if something exploded in front of him yet it lasted in a half second and a beautiful blue-winged animal with an elegant tail greeted his sight.

'Where is that one? Does she shift into this bird?'

"Who do you think are you, huh?! Don't touch me!" Mira screams while Zach raised both of his hands as a hint of submission. She throws a pillow at him but the guy in front of her named 'Zach' secretly enjoying how she got mad. Her sweet and kind attitude got vanished and she turned into a loud and war freak one.

'Mom, save me from this guy.'

"How dare you to kiss me?!" Again, another pillow flew on Zach and was about to hit his face but he caught it successfully. He sniffs it and smiled at her, "You smell like cucumber and melon." He sneers.

"Stay away from me, you creep!" She yelled before standing up and marching to the door. Zach seated at the chair next to the room's fireplace and watched Mira curse him after she can't open the door despite how much she tried.

"You know? You can't open that unless you stop doing that."

"I stop?! In your face! Open this, creep."

"Did you know that while you're asleep I'm claiming you? Check it to the mirror if you think of me as a trickster." He nonchalantly said before smiling calmly again.

"Who do you think are you to command me?"

"I claimed you so, your mate?" Mira furrowed her brows and laughed sarcastically at him. Her patience is like sand when the wind blows when it comes to him.

"No."

"Yes."

"Listen to me, lady. I claimed you as my mate so what I exactly feel, you will also feel. Same on cravings."

'I can hear your thoughts too.' She glared at him and was about to throw the lampshade when the window burst open and a man slammed into the wooden yet carpeted floor. They agreed their gazes at him and the boy remained sleeping comfortably after that impact.

'F**k you! I'll kill you!' The girl kicked his chair but the raven smiled and remained in his position, undisturbed. She even tried on controlling the time to escape from him but seems like the room is preventing her to do such a thing.

'Oh, I like both. Wanna try later? Aside from that, it's not the room who's stopping you.'

"Shut up creep!" Mira yelled at him while covering both of her ears like someone losing their mind and starting to get violent.

"Zach, students from Rimholm got taught on how to use telepathy." A voice of a girl said. Mira somehow finds hope after she heard it, she immediately looked at the window where the girl is sitting at.

"Why did you bring that lion here, Sal?"

"He won't stop bothering me like a mosquito from the human world."

'Finally, an angel from heaven to save me.'

"She's not an angel. She's from the depths below." Zach snorted and playfully wrapped his arm around her shoulder, "Wow, you don't bite."

"Did he ruin your moment? Hold on." Salem stood up from sitting and slapped Mattheo that causes him to wake up from his slumber. Zach looked away while trying to suppress his laughter and the girl beside him removed his arm on her shoulder then bite his hands.

"You're having a nightmare. Are you okay? Lion? You're chasing your breath earlier."

Zach shuffle towards Mira and chuckled. The girl instantly has a sudden chill but ignored it the moment her friend stood up. Freddy's words abruptly repeat on her mind that making her realize one thing. The thing she should have done and she should be realized earlier but it's too late to escape now. She immediately pulls her friend away from them and gathers herself.

"You two!" She said. Despite a feisty tone, Mira is trying to conceal her fear over the two individuals together. Mira grabbed the fireplace poker and pointed it at them without any hesitation.

Her gaze remained focused on Zach and Salem. Even though her hands start shaking and fear slowly invading her system, she maintained her stance and asked the male behind her, "Can you shift now?"

"I can't. My body still aches because of that one." He replied, directly referring to the female bird shifter named Salem. Zach didn't mind if the sharp fireplace poker pointed at him while Salem is enjoying silently how the new girl shows her bravery at one of them.

"Maybe because you fall from the main building's roof just by chasing me. Who's the stupid?" She chuckled, causing Mattheo to snarl at her.

"I'm letting the two of you leave this place," Zach said in a serene tone then smiled gently at Mira. She narrowed her gaze at him before throwing away the fireplace poker and dragging Mattheo outside but before they completely leave the room, Zach grabbed her wrist, "Just a friendly reminder that we both feel each other's emotion." He said then let go of her. Mira slammed the door shut because of the rage.

"You crazy bastard," Salem sits in a manly way and gives him an unbelievable look, "You claimed her? It's a miracle."

"For a male shifter who hasn't claimed anyone throughout the years." He continued and laughed together with Salem.

"What's up with you now? You find someone you can hit on." He grimaced and sit on the chair beside her.

"It's not me. It's the moon goddess." Zach retorted. He takes a sip on his tea then grinned at Salem, "You pushed him aren't you?" Salem puts down the cup of tea and swings her index finger from left to right, "Uh-uh. Let's just say we're trying the sport from the human world named 'sky diving'. It's like from the top of the tallest tree and jumps with a thing that helps them to land called 'parachute'." She explained.

"Who's crazy between us now?"

"At least I don't claim someone."

"But you injure the new student."

"I can't help it. It's fun." He smacked her shoulder and laughed, "Suspended. Three weeks." Salem grunted, causing the fire on the fireplace to grow wilder. After realizing something, she grinned and spreads her hands at the chair, "Fine by me. No lessons for the days. I can sleep."

"You need to sleep on their dorm and guard Mira."

"That's why I despise you all the time." She said while glaring at Zach. He pats her shoulder and stares at the fire.

"What the heck? You're disgusting."

"Did he claim you?!" Freddy asked Mira who's now wrapped with her blanket while Mattheo is concentrated on using his phone while his headphone is on. His body still aching too much even he drinks pain relievers

"She is. Even Mira washed her body plenty of times his smell remained on her." Mattheo mumbled.

"I mean, two of you saw their faces? How do they look like?"

"They still have faces. Showing and not showing their faces doesn't make them different from shifters."

"But they lived on hybrid's dorm. I'm sure that the two of them are not a pure shifter." Freddy winced in pain when someone from behind pinched his nose as if that someone tending to tear off the flesh and that leads his tears to fall on his cheeks. Mattheo growled at her while Mira remained to start of nowhere, still can't recover from what happened earlier.

"You're nose is not that too massive for you to be nosy on someone else's business." She innocently said before sitting on the armrest beside Freddy then wrapped her arm around his neck then tightening it up.

"I don't despise you and how you speak." She whispered to him as the elf's grip on the left armrest got tighter every second. The shifter looked at the Mira and switched into a cheery expression, "Hello again! I'm Salem Zenith. It's nice to see you again, Mira." Freddy tried on removing her arm around his neck as his breathing started to be difficult, "Let him go." Mira said while sitting still on the sofa, still cannot recover because of the scenario earlier.

"Alright." After removing her arm around his neck, Freddy immediately seeks air and sits beside Mattheo.

"You smelled reek like a bastard." She told Freddy, "No offense, but, did you ever take a bath? Eww. I'm sure, lion smelled you too." Freddy immediately sniffed himself while Mattheo looked away, "See?"

"Anyways, I'm here to watch over the girl Mira Chivalry. Whether you like it or not."
