My hands trembled in fear as I was led out of the pack house with the guards surrounding me.
“She would suffer from paralysis.” The words of the doctor rang in my head as I was being escorted out.
I had only added more fuel to the blazing fire and I hated myself for it. What scared me the most was the look Zayev had when he ordered the guards to escort me from the pack house and out of the pack.
“You are not fit to be in my pack. I can't have wolf less being roaming in my pack after doing this to my Luna.” He said calmly but I could sense the anger that was carried in his tone. “You are banished from New Dawn pack, Kania Conri.”
I knew thsi was what Elsa wanted and she got it with no complaints which only grew my hatred for her and my disappointment in Zayev for having be be escorted out of the pack in front of everyone.
“I never liked her from the first day.”
“I wonder what Alpha Zayev saw in her.”
“I wonder why the moon goddess would even pair her with someone like the alpha. She deserves the worst.”
“Never show us your face, you envious wolfless being.”
I ignored their words as I was finally escorted to the pack's border after a while. “Step out of the border to where it is you please. Our alpha has issued you to be locked up if you're ever found in New Dawn pack.”
I nodded gently as I headed into the forest. I looked back into the pack's territory with tears streaming down my cheeks.
I felt betrayed. Not only by Zayev but also by the entire pack. I wiped the tears rolling down my cheeks but they refused to stop as I fell to my knees, burying my face in my palm.
Where was u supposed to go now? I had nowhere to go now that I have been banished from the pack. Being stranded in a thick forest like this and have no means of survival or where to go made my entire body shudder.
Pushing myself up to my feet, I walked in the direction of the main road. I knew if I got there, I would find someone to help me far away from this place.
I felt heavy as the rain started to pour down without any warning as I headed in the direction of the main road. Or at least where I thought the main road would be.
I tried my best to navigate my way in the heavy rain but I was unable to. And suddenly, my leg slipped, making me fall down a slippery place.
Before I knew it, I hit my head heard against something hard and rough, making me black out completely.
Everything around me felt heavy once again as I started to open my eyes. I didn't know exactly where I was but things felt warm and by the time my vision cleared, I noticed I was in a hospital.
I used all the strength I had left in me to push myself up. As I looked at my surroundings, the door was suddenly pulled open, making me look I the direction. “Oh, you're awake.” A bright smile was plastered across the nurse's face.
“We've been expecting you to wake up or it might harm your health and that of your baby.” She said with her smile not leaving her face.
“My baby? What do you mean by my baby?” I asked her, quite confused on what she was talking about but she just smiled again.
“You are pregnant ma'am.” The nurse smiled brightly.
Her words struck me like thunder just hit me. What on earth did she mean by I was pregnant. That meant I was pregnant for the man who abandoned me because I'm unable to transform into my wolf form.
“A-are you sure about this? Are you sure I'm pregnant?” I asked her nervously and she nodded gently while looking at me.
“It's dangerous to roam around the forest in your condition. If you weren't fount by the patrolling police, we don't know what would have happened to you and the baby. And besides, you were in the wolves' region.” She said, confusing me for a few seconds.
What did she mean by the wolves’ region? Does that mean I'm on the side of the humans?
Thinking about it made me flinch for a few seconds. This was the first time I was on the side the humans lived on.
Werewolves and humans lived in peace all theses decades but they always stood on different sides of the country. Each country had two to three packs and New Dawn was at the top of this country and that meant, I was on the humans side.
“T-thank you very much.” I smiled at the nurse before leaning back in bed.
I didn't have my wolf, that means I'm weaker than an omega and equal to a human. There was no way they would realize I wasn't human if I stayed here since I had no wolf.
This is my chance to leave everything behind. Zayev who betrayed me and the pack who tossed me aside because I didn't have a wolf.
I didn't know how things worked here but I knew I would figure it out one of these days.
“You're awake.” I heard a voice which made me look up from my down position. “This is the first time I'm seeing a cutie around here.”
A brown haired man walked towards me. He was dressed in a white shirt and a black trousers. They were both neatly placed on him but the shirt had the first two buttons undone.
“H-hello?” I stuttered.
I felt a fluttering in my stomach. I haven't felt that way since I first met Zayev which made me wonder even more who this man was.
“I'm Zeeb Hrolf, the doctor in charge of your ward.” He said making me look at him from head to toe and he seemed to get what I was thinking about. “Come on, not all doctors take their coats around. I can act all badass despite being a doctor, can't I?”
I laughed nervously as he took my hands and started to examine me. He looked serious from how he looked a few minutes ago before flashing me a sweet smile.
“You should be able to leave the hospital tomorrow. I'll have the nurse send you the prescriptions of drugs you should get.” He said. “Do you have any family to arrange the discharge papers with?”
Ah, about that. “U-uhh. Actually I just moved here and have no one here or anywhere to go.” I said, rubbing the back of my neck a bit embarrassed.
Of course, I was banished from New Dawn because of that witch. At least I still had one place I could go back to but now I was homeless and I'm in a strange land, not knowing a single place or anyone.
“Oh, I see. No wonder there wasn't any information about you.” He smiled at me again before leaning away. “If you don't mind living with a stranger then. You can come live with me. I have plenty of unused rooms in my apartment.”
“You can stay with me for the time being.”
