     "Jason! What is wrong with you? You can't be seen playing with the help." Luna Grace looms over me while she chastises her son. "Rose, the Alpha and I need to speak with you now." Luna Grace pulls me away from Jason and into Alpha Carson's office. "Sit down." She pushes me back into a chair and then goes to stand behind Alpha Carson on the other side his desk. "Rosalie, you're seven years old. It's time for you to start paying back the debt you owe to us for saving you and taking you in, from now on you will help the omegas with whatever you are asked to do. On your eighteenth birthday you can leave if you choose or you can continue working here. We have also decided to pull you out of school, we will provide you everything you need to home-school yourself as long as it doesn't interfere with your work. You may be excused now." Alpha Carson said it in a serious voice, so I know better than to question it. I bowed my head and jumped out of the chair to rush out the door. I've always lived with a group of omegas, they were charged with raising me.      "Rose, you to sleep at some point. I haven't seen you sleep more than two hours at a time in weeks. You'll need your rest to complete your list of tasks for the week, Luna Grace is going to work you harder than anyone else." Charlotte looks at me with pleading eyes as she speaks. "I need to finish my exams as soon as possible so I can graduate. I'll rest when I finish them, I promise." I'm almost done with high school and it's almost my eighteenth birthday. My debt will be paid off and I will be free to leave and finally move away from here. Charlotte gives me a look filled with pity before laying down on her cot to sleep for night. I have to finish my exams tonight so I can get my diploma by the end of this week. I excel at all subjects I've come across, the only thing I can't seem to get information on is the traditions and ceremonies I need to accept my wolf. It makes the transition a lot less painful. I have to complete the ceremony the night before the alphas arrive and I only have bits and piece of what I'm supposed to do, Luna Grace has forbidden everyone from speaking to me about it.     I spent the next few days preparing rooms for visiting alphas to stay in and my birthday was here before I knew it. As of today I am an adult and tonight I will perform my eternal companion ceremony to the best of my ability. I've just finished my work for today and I already have a plain white dress in my bag as well as a few other things. I hurry to leave the pack house without rousing suspicion, I make it out to the forest without anyone seeing me. It doesn't take long to get to my favorite clearing, this is where I want to find my destiny. I change into my dress without wearing anything underneath it. There is a blood moon tonight, it's crimson tint worries me. When I feel like the moon is beckoning me I look up to it and take a few deep breaths. "I apologize for not knowing all of the details for what I should say or do, but I am still here asking for your assistance to make this night easier. Here I am, ready to accept whatever fate you have decided for me. I humbly accept your choice of my eternal companion, please let her guide me through my fate." I wasn't sure what else to say, but I didn't have time to speak again. A pain has rushed through out my entire body engulfing my entire essence, it doesn't take long for me to black out.     "Hello Rosalie, I'm Lilian. I am your eternal companion, I have been given information you will need in the upcoming trials that await you. But for now I want you to experience the joy of being truly free from all of life's chains and hardships. Run and be free." I hear that as a voice speaking inside of my head and I open my eyes to find myself laying on the ground. I stand up and walk over to the pond just to see a beautiful reddish brown wolf with bright green eyes and a mark in my fur right on my neck. It's a black mark that looks like a star, I feel like I've heard about a mark like this before. After taking in my reflection I decide to take Lilian's advice and run until I can't anymore. In this moment I am truly free.
