They Are Not Ordinary

CHAPTER 33

ASHTER STARR

I woke up gasping for air as I felt like someone was suffocating me to the point where I couldn't breathe. I tugged on the collar of my shirt, trying to get as much oxygen as I could as I breathed heavily.

I swallowed hard as I glance over at the clock that read, 3:47.

Sighing heavily, I pulled the cover off my body to give me more air as I fell back onto my soft pillows.

That dream... Why do I feel like it's real...

No kidding...

I really thought that it was happening to be honest...

Well, that's scary.

I spent another hour just staring at my blank ceiling without realizing it. I put my hand over my stomach where it was previously ripped open by a werewolf. I felt its ugly and long fingernails digging onto my body like I was some toy.

What was that all about?... Is that my future or something?...

I shook the thought away as it was started to really creep me out. I looked over at the clock and it read 4:55.

Damn, why does time fly so fast?

I really want to go back to sleep but I just can't and I am afraid that if I sleep and I am going to have that dream again... I might not wake up this time...

I sighed as I wiped the sweat off my forehead and got up.

Without much energy, I dragged my feet to the bathroom.

I turned on the shower to the temperature so it was just warm enough but not too hot. After I was contented with my water temperature I took my clothes off. Just as I was about to pull my shorts down, I froze halfway as I saw along my abdomen where a large red claw marks.

I trace over them wondering what the hell is going on and how did this happen?... Maybe my dream was real... s**t.

I decided to try and ignore it before I got super scared and I just got into the shower.

This whole time it was hard to force myself to shower fast when my mind was focused on the claw marks on my stomach. I was still baffled at how it had actually left a scar on me.

I soon realized I had taken a long time in the shower. I muttered a curse under my breath and got out of the bathroom

I will just try not to think about it too much this whole day.

I entered the school and right away I saw Sophie and her group of friends chatting along by what I would I assume, was one of their lockers.

"Hey, Sophie." I greeted her with a small smile as she whipped her head and turned to me. She was confused for a second about who greeted her but as soon as she saw that it was me, she smiled.

"Hey, Ash." She waved back happily before turning her attention back to her friends.

I proceeded to go to my locker, I kept walking until I made it. I opened it right when it accidentally hit someone. Slamming my locker door on their head.

"Oh s**t," I cursed as I moved my locker door and faced the person. "Gosh Aliana, I'm so sorry, I didn't know you are here so I didn't notice geez I'm really sorry"

She just let out a small laugh before rubbing her head where it was been hit.

"It's alright, it's not really your fault, it was mine" She waved off while giving me a soft smile.

"Are you sure?" I asked worriedly. I had hit her pretty hard and I felt terribly bad.

"Yeah, I am 100% percent fine, stop apologizing you silly"

Aliana was so small but she have a kind and precious heart, so even though she waved that off I still feel guilty.

"I really need some magic so I can be tall, being short sucks" She lightly joked after I finished transferring my things.

"I think it suits you the best though" I smiled and nudged her.

"Hey Ashy, hi Aliana" Leo walked up to us and greeted us politely.

"Hey" Both Aliana and I greeted back.

"So today we have practice I already texted you the changes of schedule. Well technically it didn't change, it's still the same" He rambled as his hands were stuffed in his pockets again"Uhm I just wanted to make sure you were coming after your class, If you are busy it's okay you can practice tomorrow"

"Hey, we've been over this already right?" I chuckled lightly "I said that I will commit this whole month right? So I am coming every day you don't have to ask okay? don't worry about me not coming"

I smiled at him.

"Yeah right. Uhm okay cool. Well I'll see you later then" He nodded then turn to Aliana "Bye miss president"

Aliana waved and gave him a smile before he left.

"You guys have been practicing every day this month but he still is shy about asking you," Aliana noticed

"I know right, maybe he should have a little more faith in me" I sighed. I don't want to keep repeating it to him, it's actually getting annoying.

"He is really nice you know and very respectful" Aliana commented.

"He just said hi and asked me if I am coming?" I chuckled. I swear these girls always mention something good about him every time we have interaction.

"I know it's just simple but you have forgotten how rude and disrespectful buys are these days. Some of them don't even greet you yet they want to ask for your number" Aliana shooked her head disapprovingly.

"True" I agreed "They are always like, 'hey pretty face can I have your number so we can hang later' I imitated in a deep voice causing Aliana to laugh.

"Alright, I'm heading out now, I'll see you later, bye Ash!" Aliana waved and I waved back before I rushed to my class since I didn't realize I only have a few seconds left.

As soon as I entered the theater room and I was a bit shocked. It was filled with the drama team and lots of people.

They are arranging and setting up the props that we needed for the play. The stage was now full of props than the usual empty stage.

To say beautiful is an understatement. I was mind blow at how beautiful the set was. It looks surreal.

I felt nervous, to be honest.

I thought today it's just going to be the two of us. I thought that the whole drama club will only practice with us every Saturday since they all have busy schedules because most people in the drams club are seniors.

"You thought it's only going to be us?" Leo spoke as he noticed me not saying anything.

"Yeah, you read my mind" I replied "To be honest I got nervous since we always practice alone and I'm still not used to people watching us, so seeing this amount of people makes me feel nauseous, I mean this is only a small amount of people, what if the actual play starts, this who place will be filled I might die by then"

Leo chuckled.

"It's natural to be nervous since this is your first time right?" He asked politely and I nodded "We've all been there, to be honest, I still got nervous every time I go up on stage. But eventually, we will be used to it"

I smiled at his kind words, Leo always know how to cheer someone up.

"Today, take this as a good practice, we can perform a few scenes in front of them so you can get used to it little by little, I mean if you got confident by performing in this small amount of people then you wouldn't be worried as much when you perform to hundreds" Leo advises while giving me an encouraging smile. "Also imagine the people like cookies, naked or something if that helps... Because that's what I did before and it help me a lot..."

"Hmmm, that might work," I laughed.

"Thank you, Leo, I feel less nervous now," I told him honestly.

"Anytime Ashy" He smiled As we started walking to the stage because we've been standing in the same spot for too long.

As we walked down, I noticed a few new faces that I have never seen before. They are talking about the play and some are even drawing some stuffs.

"Hey, you guys are finally here!!" I heard Leo say, I turn around to see 4 unfamiliar faces. Maybe these were the friends Leo was always talking about.

How come they just show up today? Why didn't they come last week?.

"Hey Ashter come, I can finally introduce you to my friends" Leo beckoned me to come near him. Once I got beside him he put his shoulders around me which is odd for him because he is usually shy around me. I just shrugged and put up a smile on my face. His friends are looking at us with a big smile which creeps me off.

"Guys this is Ashter," Leo told them with a big grin on his face.

"Yeah we already know, you are always talking abo--"

"This is Tristan, quite a funny one right?". He cut his friend off as he shyly rubbed the back of his neck.

"Hi, Tristan" I gave him a small wave and a smile. He had the same height as Leo. He had stunning green eyes and brown hair. I examine him closely and I noticed that he and Leo actually look alike.

"And this is Rachel, Melissa, Kitty, Alexander, and Isaiah" He introduced the rest and I waved and smile at them as a casual greeting. "By the way in our group of friends, most are siblings. Melissa and Kitty are sisters then alexander and Isaiah are brothers then the rest have different families"

I was expecting for him to say that is Tristan his brother. But I guess I am wrong. Leo never lies right?. I mean why would he lie to such things. Maybe that one quote I read on Twitter was right, 'If you hang too much with one friend or person, they will slowly look like you'. I mean it's got a point so I just shrugged and proceeded on greeting them.

"It was nice to meet finally meet you guys, I heard a lot about you. I want to say you guys have an interesting group of friends" I commented with a small chuckle.

"I know right,"

I gotta say Leo had a lot of friends well he is popular so I wasn't really shocked. To be honest, his friends are very good-looking. I guess a kind and respectful person always gets this circle of friends.

"I bet you are wondering why they only showed up today?" Leo asked me and I nodded. " It's because they are busy doing the props from the past few weeks"

"Ohh, so they are behind all of the props that are set up on the stage?" I asked politely

"Yes," They all said in unison. Which made me creep out.

"Wow, I gotta say you guys did a very great job. To be honest, the moment I stepped in I was in complete amazement by the props that were set up on the stage" I complimented them which made them smile warmly at me. "I'm impressed you guys really put a lot of effort in it, I mean I don't have the patience to do these kinds of stuffs... It's wonderful, you guys nailed it"

"Ashy don't tell too much compliment because they will end up having big heads" Leo lightly joked making his friends glare at him. As both of us burst out laughing.

"Well, we gotta do our best since we want to have a perfect setup for the both of you" Tristan responded.

"That's nice, thank you guys very much" I reciprocated. We started walking together towards the stage.

"Well now let us see what you guys have been practicing" Tristan smirked at Leo which made him blush shyly. He looked away so I wouldn't see but I did.

"Yeah sure come on Leo"
