The weekend came and passed slowly, and Eleanor soon found herself behind a desk once again. She had a cup of coffee sitting in the top corner of her desk. She was up late that Sunday night, cramming in homework, and writing a last-minute essay. Jess couldn't help but offer to get her a cup, after she saw how miserable her twin was. "You look terrible," she heard, and looked up to Bella. "Shut up," Eleanor mumbled, and placed her head back in her arms. She heard Bella laugh, and set her stuff down next to her. "Have you seen Edward yet?" Eleanor lifted her head, and took sip from her cup, "no, but we'll find out at lunch or in biology if he's here. Don't stress about it." Bella nodded, and opened her notebook ready to take notes for their class. Eleanor noticed what she was doing, and copied her actions. She took the time before her teacher walked in, to mentally prepare her tired mind for the notes they were about to take. --- Bella, Mike, and Eleanor walked together to their biology class later that day. Eleanor noted that Mike wanted to talk to Bella privately, after multiple glances her way, and smirked. "I'll be right back. I'll meet you in class." Bella nodded at her, while Mike smiled. Eleanor winked at him, before slowing her pace, and turning towards the bathroom. When she entered, she noticed Rosalie and Alice standing at the end, whispering quietly to themselves. She paid no attention, and instead turned her focus to the mirror. "Hi," Eleanor turned her head, and looked to Alice Cullen, "I like your outfit!" Eleanor looked down at herself, and smiled up at the girl, "thanks." Alice smiled, as Rosalie rolled her eyes, "see ya!" The two girls walked out, and Eleanor scrunched her nose up. She took one more look at herself in the mirror, before turning on her heel, and walking out. Eleanor reached her biology classroom quickly and, upon entering, noticed Bella sitting next to Edward. She smirked, and headed to her seat behind Bella. Class started and El couldn't help but stare at the Cullen, as thoughts of Dr. Cullen entered her mind. It was strange, she thought, that although they were all adopted, everyone in that family had the same golden eyes and pale skin. She remembered how cold the doctor's hand had been, and thought she had never felt a human hand that cold. Eleanor didn't want to be nosy, but she was curious as to how convenient it was, that they all looked the same. Edward turned his head slowly, to look back at the girl. Eleanor glared at him, before turning her focus back to the assignment. She decided she wanted to figure out if they had a secret, and she knew exactly how to do it. --- The next day at lunch, Eleanor sat facing the Cullen table. She let her head hang down, facing the table, and sought out Edward's mind. El placed her head in her hands, and begin to use her magic to enter the boy's mind. Images flashed by too quickly in her mind to get a solid glance at them. She looked up, hoping to gain more focus, and tried again. Eleanor froze when she saw Edward glaring up at her. She wondered if he knew what she was doing, and began to try to read his thoughts instead. 'Get out of my head,' Eleanor's eyes widened, and she glanced up at Edward once again. The glare was gone from his face, and in it's place was a look of surprise. Edward had never bothered to read Eleanor's thoughts. He assumed she was just like her twin, and decided to leave her alone. He realised now, he should've been looking into Eleanor's head instead. Eleanor stood up and turned to Jess, "I'm going home, I'll see you later." Jess turned to her, "are you okay?" Her twin nodded and said, "yeah, I just really don't feel like being here today. See ya." Eleanor looked to the Cullen's table one more time, to see them all staring up at her. She glared at Edward, before turning and walking out of the cafeteria. 'What the hell just happened?' Eleanor thought.
