Chapter 16, Magic!
Jareth's POV
Jareth was happy to have his Sarah in his world. Most of all her love. She saw he loved her. And returned it. That was the greatest gift he ever had been given from anyone in his entire life. He was going to treasure her heart forevermore.
He wanted to ask her to marry him. But he had to ask in a proper way. Before he felt he had to demand her hand in marriage.
Now he did not have to fight for her love. He had her love. Now he had less to worry. Now he could win her over. She would be his wife.
Nothing would stop them. And they would rule the kingdom together forever. They would be perfect teaming up. Their powers alone would help so many people.
He had to ask Sarah to marry him in the most magical way he could think of. Maybe something would come to him. They could host a celebration of being together.
Then there he would ask for her hand in marriage. He did not want her to wait on him to long. She knew he was going to ask her. And he knew she planned on saying yes this time. Sarah was his at long last. She napped there in his embrace. She rested. He lays her down in his bed.
He gets up to think.

"King Jareth what is on your mind?" Hoggle asks him.
"I want to ask Sarah to marry me in a special way" he explains. "show her l care"
"Just ask her and she will know" says Hoggle. "I hate mushy love stuff" he says.
"But girls crave and need that. Sarah needs that from me" says Jareth. "this has to be perfect! I got it" he exclaims.
He whispers over to Hoggle his new ideas for a grand party for Sarah. It was going to be a night filled with romantic surprises. He could hardly wait for this big event to happen in their lives. Then they could begin to plan their wedding together.
"Jareth ?" yawns Sarah later on.
"My love I am over here" he tells her. He comes over to her side. He holds her.
"Why did you get up?" she worries. "is something wrong?"
"No love nothing is wrong" he says to her. He kisses her hand. "everything is right"
"Huh?" she chuckles.
"Sarah, you have a magical night waiting for you my love. Wait and see" he promises her.
"I have all the magic I need being beside you" she says to him.
He leans in kissing her on the lips.
"I never grow tired of hearing how you love me" he whispers to her.
"I do love you" she vows. She touches his cheek.
He looks her in the eyes.
She grins. Then they kiss again.

"I love you. And I will give you your heart's desire" he reminds her.
"My heart's desire is this. I want to feel you close to me. That is all I need my Jareth" she softly adds.
Making him feel joyfulness inside him.
Her words alone always won his heart over.
"Sarah, beloved" he softly says.
He kisses her.
She returns his kisses.
He had to hold back or he would give his all now. And ask her to marry him. Wrecking the surprise, he had planned for her. She should have a magical filled night. And she would have one. He would see to that.
"Jareth, I can tell something is on your mind. Talk to me" she demands to know.
Her powers must be kicking in. She was reading things well.

"Yes, love but in time. You will know it all" he says to her.
"You make me wait love. You make me long" she giggles. "you tease"
"Sorry Sarah not for long. I promise you" he says to her. He kisses her.
"I believe in you" she vows.
"Remember the dance we shared?" he asks her.
"When you had me under your spell?" she teases.
He nods.
"I do" she answers.
"I place the moon within your heart" he softly sings to her. They begin to dance in each other's arms as he croons his song to her. "as the world falls down...."
"Falling in love" she answers him singing back.
"I will leave my love between the stars" he sings.
"Jareth how was I so blind I could not see that whole time?" she questions.
"What my love?" he asks her.
"You were desperate to get my love. I hurt you. I made you wait. I turned you away. I ran from you and you waited and waited on me" she says as tears come to her.
"Sarah!" he softly says.
"No, you were so patient for me. And you waited for me" she says. "that is love. Such love"
"Yes sweetheart. That is all in the past" he reminds her.
"I am sorry I hurt you then. I am very sorry" she says.
"I know. We talked before on this. No more looking back to the past. Look to the future" he says.

He places his crystals up in the air. Showing the image of them in the future holding their child in bed together. Laughing. Smiling.
Loving each other.
"Oh Jareth" she breaths out. She happily watches the images play out before them.
"I can't wait either" he agrees.
"We shall have it all. Because you never gave up on me" she says.
"Nor you gave up on me" he reminds her. He touches her cheek.
"I could not. I was so drawn to you" she admits. "Jareth, I was very lost at that part of my life. And I have my family. I have you to thank for it all. Because of you I know who I am"
"At long last my queen Sarah" he teases gently.
She kisses him.
Holding him close to her body.
"I am so in love with you Jareth. You deserve my heart beloved" she says to him.
He smiles closing his eyes. He had longed to hear that forever.
She kisses him. He never wanted to let her go.
"Soon Sarah all your hearts desires will come true. All of them. I will be sure of that" he says softly in between kisses.
And he meant every word he said to.
He always kept his word.
