Since Olivia Hermstein had decided to get along well with her husband Tristan Emerson, she need to find a chance to express her feelings to him, as she needs to be true to herself now. Today was a blessed day for Olivia, so she went to her husband's office. When she arrived at the 15th floor, she was greeted by four highly skilled body guards that was standing outside. Tristan Emerson was still at the company's Director office for a corporate meeting. She needs more time to wait for him. Olivia walked around the office. The desk was neat and tidy. She also smiled when she saw the small frame standing in front of Tristan's chair, which was a picture of the two of them when they got married. But if things went the same way as in her previous life, Tristan wouldn't return for the next half month. The thought of not seeing him today, will be her long restless time. After thinking it over, Olivia decided to call his number, but actually it was not saved on her phone, she just found it through the history of calls on her phone. "Ring, ring..ring." The call connected quickly, and Olivia felt a bit excited. "The number you have dial is busy for a moment. Please try again later..." Olivia didn't get to hear Tristan's voice as she thought, he didn't pick up her phone call. At that moment, within the company's conference room, a group of investor exchanges a discussion, while Tristan sitting at the head of the table stared intently at his phone, saying nothing. His face was cold, stern, and calm. But he was confused by this time, Olivia didn't initiate to call him even before. The senior executives sitting around the table continued the discussion about sharing their ideas about their innovations of their promotional product that will be launched in the coming few months. Meanwhile, at Tristan's office, Olivia scratched her head in frustration and flopped onto the sofa bed, motionless. She knew that Tristan could still be angry, but she never imagined he wouldn't even let her explain. Maybe it was because she had messed up too many times before, making him lose all hope in her. Thinking about this, Olivia wished she could go back in time and slap her past self for not cherishing what she had before. Olivia badly needed to talked to Tristan immediately. If she waited for more than half a month, it would be too late! She walked back and forth, until she decided to send him a text message instead. But first she make it save his number. Under the name of "My Love Life" She opened the messaging app, and selected "My Love Life" as the recipient. She agonized over the message, typing, then deleted, then retyping, delete then retyping again, until she was sure it was perfect. Finally, she closed her eyes and hit "send" "Hahh!" She takes a deep breath glancing at the window. Back to the director's room, Tristan's mobile phone suddenly lit up, followed by a "twink" sound. Tristan Emerson's eyes darkened. He didn't open the message immediately but instead looked up at the senior executives and shareholders seated around the table. "Meeting adjourned," Tristan Emerson said, his thin lips barely moving as he spoke the words calmly. As soon as he finished speaking, everyone hurriedly bowed slightly and said, "Thank you, President." They then grabbed their documents and quickly headed for the door, afraid of being the last to leave. Tristan Emerson watched them with cold eyes, noting their fear of him. Now, his mind drifted back to what had happened the previous night. Why is she calling? Just woke up and can't wait to divorce me and run into that man's arms? The empty room echoed with Tristan Emerson's thoughts, and he was on the verge of a rage. With a fiery temper, he opened the text message from Olivia Hermstein "I'm here in your office. I have something to tell you. I'll wait." Seeing the message only fueled Tristan Emerson's anger. He didn't need to guess what Olivia Hermstein wanted to talk about. He knew that her goal was nothing more, than to force him into a divorce. "Biigh!" Tristan Emerson raised his hand and threw his phone forcefully, it tumbled three times onto the table. Back at the president's office, Olivia receives a sudden call, she looks at her constantly ringing phone and lets out a cold smile. The caller was none other than her sister, who in her past life had claimed, and promised to care for her, only later conspire with Marcus to kill her. Olivia pressed the answer button, and as soon as the call connected, she heard Fiona Hermstein's voice filled with dissatisfaction, "Why did you take so long to answer?" "What do you want?" Olivia ignored her complaint and asked directly. The person on the other line paused for a moment, then spoke in an innocent tone, "How's your talk with Tristan yesterday? Don't blame me for not standing up for you, you saw how Marcus was beaten half to death by him..." Hearing this, Olivia felt a wave of irony. In her past life. Fiona, her sister is eagerly called her just to ask for any updates about what happened yesterday, she had been completely obvious, even feeling grateful. "What does my dear sister want to hear today about Tristan and me?" Olivia took a moment to collect her thoughts, her tone slightly rising. While Fiona Hermstein seemed taken aback by that question, pausing instinctively. "Of course, you should—" "Are you really so eager for me to divorce Tristan Emerson and leave with nothing?" Olivia interrupted before Fiona could finish, her voice barely concealing her anger. Unaware of Olivia's rising fury, Fiona continued to stoke her resentment towards Tristan. "Absolutely. Just look at how badly Marcus was beaten by him! How can a man like that be worthy of your trust? Marcus is still bed ridden today, completely stunned by what happened yesterday. Doesn't that break your heart?" "Oh, really?" Olivia's lips curled into a smirk. It was a pity Fiona couldn't see the mockery in her eyes. Hearing Olivia's calm tone, Fiona seemed a bit flustered. "When have I ever lied to you? You saw with your own eyes, that Marcus leg was broken by him." A broken legs? Unable to get out of bed? I'm not a fortune teller but I can say, Marcus is in a bar right now trying to cool off his head. I wish he could have choked on his drink! Olivia found herself chatting away to herself. Having been given a fresh start in this life, she couldn't help but marvel at how effortlessly her sister could tell a lie without even flinching!
