“I never thought I would see the day in my hundredth year when Humans and goblins worked hand in hand. Your kind were always fickle and untrustworthy and now your work with those sneaky fiends.” His axe hit the ground with a clunk as he stepped forward, showing his shield that bore a hammer in motion. The others behind him held stoic faces and blocked the only entrance inside. They were many in tight formation lines. The towers above us, the dwarves held trained crossbows upon us and some were even waiting behind this dense line. If things didn’t go well here, we wouldn’t make it out of here alive. Dwarves were resistant to magic Caremila spells would be like a cool breeze upon them. “We mean no harm,” Caremila began. “We are…” she stopped looking at me. The dwarf was cladded in chain mail with a decorated helmet. Unlike everyone else who carried pick axes, this dwarf seemed seasoned in war. He came to a stop as his head shifted to the guild master. “Adventurers. I never thought the adventurer’s guild was in the market of working with goblins. The last time I saw you guild master weren’t you having problems with a Troll and some sort of wolf archer.” The guild master smiled the glare Caremila sent him kept him in check as he spoke. “Yes, it’s been a while.” I interjected. “We travelled from Pieranto to get here. Our intentions despite how they may seem.” I paused, changing from the dwarf who kept his eyes upon me to the towers above me as I projected my voice. “Is not hostile! The goblins.” I clenched my fist. “Merely acted as guides because the guild master lost his way. We have lost friends along the way some are even injured with wounds that need tending!”  “And what it is that you seek for us to tend to the wounds of the goblins and yourselves.” The guild master said, “Nothing of the sort---.” “We are looking for a cure for a potion used on my father. If we have that we would leave and pay whatever price is necessary. We also would like---.” “To create friendly relations with you,” Caremila interjected.  “Create friendly relations with goblins at our door. I never heard of anything so foolish and how did you become friends with those deceitful lot, girl.” “We fought, we killed them and they decided they would rather work together than die from flames.” “We made temporary arrangements, ones that will probably won’t hold but it was enough to get us here.” I got off my horse and stepped forward, removing my helmet. “We aren’t demanding your aid.” I knelt to the dismay of Caremila. I bowed. “We are begging for your assistance. I can’t go home unless I have something that can help my father.” “What is your name?” the dwarf asked, looking down at me as he stroked his beard. “Seth, my name is Seth.” “Seth and the guild master. The two of you come with me.”
