THE MEETING

Kourtney finally got on the phone with her friend and they were talking over the pictures she posted on the internet and the brand new clothes with labels shown in the picture, while still on the phone , Kourtney moved to the kitchen to check if she could see something to eat in the refrigerator… and was also describing to her best friend in the town they moved from , she opened the refrigerator and couldn't find something to munch on .. as she complained about it on the phone to her friend… she closed the refrigerator door and was shocked to see Mark Derek's son starring at her.. and as such her phone dropped on the floor ,but her friend was still on the other end of the phone call, listening to their conversation ; Mark said you must be my new sister … what's your name ? But before Kourtney could answer her friend mentioned her name and Mark smiled before he could say anything else.. the dog started barking, as Kourtney bends down to pick her phone that fell to the ground ,she was so scared as she appeals to Mark to stop the dog from barking…but Mark laughs as the looks on Kourtney's face was interesting at the time , but as Kourtney seeing that Mark isn't helping so she ran behind Mark and picked up a skillet to hit the dog but Mark stopped her and told Kourtney that the did would shred her in pieces if she feels threatened,so Mark spoke to the dog and the dog stopped barking.

While Mark tried having a conversation with Kourtney, Kourtney made all forms of communication hard, as she throws in sacarstic remarks to every statement made by Mark; while still trying to have a conversation with Kourtney the parents walked into the kitchen and both smiled as the father Derek said I see you both have met , and he asked them to go get ready as they'll be having dinner outside the home that night. Everyone got dressed up waiting downstairs for Kourtney , only for her to appear dressed shabbily with a terrific look on her face.. but they've waited too long for her, to even think of asking her to go back to her room and change her outfit.. so they all left to the restaurant but Kourtney didn't make dinner palatable as she makes reference to the fact that she's a daughter of a nobody unlike Mark who is well connected and even if he decides not to work , he's got his father's empire to inherit and his properties. Kourtney's mother tried looking at her to make her shut up but she refused to acknowledge the glance her mother gave to her , that made Mark excused himself out of the table although giving his father and Grace an excuse of having to go prepare for a function in school the next day. As Mark stood up, Kourtney expressed her feeling of getting back home as she isn't hungry anymore, Derek asked Mark to go home with Kourtney in his car as they aren't ready to go home.

While in the car, Mark gave a remark to Kourtney's attitude back then in the restaurant, stating how Kourtney's mom must have loved her so much to have endured her attitude ; Kourtney responded in a rude way stating the obvious fact that he doesn't have a mother and may not be familiar with the term motherly love, that word got Mark furious that he stopped the car half way , got down , turned around opened the door where Kourtney was sitted and dragged her down and drove off leaving Kourtney on the road stranded and her phone was switched off as she couldn't reach out to her mum…although she tried apologizing before he drove off but it fell on deaf ears.. Mark wasn't privileged to see his mother as she died during childbirth, that made talks related to his mom in a disrespectful way could bring out the worst of him… Kourtney having to deal with her predicament, she waved down any car that passed by that night; luckily one car stopped and the young boy asked her where she's headed she gave him the address and he said "you live in Mark's house now"? She was surprised that the stranger knows the names of the occupants of the house.. with the look on her face , the young lad explained why everyone has to know them, because of their extreme wealthiness and how he's one of the friends to Mark , Kourtney had to ask him if his name which he replied Benard. Kourtney told Benard that it was Mark who dragged her out the car in the middle of nowhere, Benard laughed and said he probably was in a hurry to his party.. that got another surprise look from Kourtney again , as she exclaimed" party!?" And he affirmed it by saying there's no party without Mark, as Mark is the life of every party, so Kourtney said she would like to be taken to the party instead.

Kourtney and Benard arrived at the party and she saw Mark being kissed by a girl and as he finished he kissed another and yet another girl.. she just looked away as she was still furious about leaving her on the road… Benard was by Kourtney's side trying to give her guidelines on who to talk with and whom not to be friend's with.. while they were still talking Mark sighted her with Benard and walked towards her and asked why she was there, but Kourtney as usual replied in a sacarstic manner and pointing out to Mark why he's at the party too? Didn't he say he was going home to study and get prepared for the next day's class and function in school? Mark got angry and ask that she stays off his path , while he'll do the same.. Kourtney turned around and left him there , to go mingle with other people at the party but Mark still kept an eye on her, so she doesn't talk to the wrong people as some guys who are there just got out of jail two days ago..
