The car rumbled softly as she looked at me, mischief dancing in her eyes despite everything she had just been through. “Oh, so you’re my bodyguard now?” Her voice was low and teasing, and all the blood rushed south. How could she make something so serious and terrifying so damn sèxy?
“I will be guarding every inch of your body; in fact, I need to do a thorough search and make sure that everything is in tip-top shape still.”
I leaned in, pressing my face against her neck and tickling her with my stubble, making her squeal joyfully.
