I left my office and headed toward the room with the portal. Only I knew about that room, and my mother showed it to me. She taught me how to manipulate the portal so that it can lead me to any location I desire. I mostly use it to visit dear old daddy and check if Kraken is doing his job.

Our newborns are already a month old and Ben and Rob’s training is finished. They were taken to the training realm with the witches and Selene for a week (we missed them for a week but they spent over 2 years in the training realm). Our gammas came back today and we decided it was time to have the gamma initiation ceremony. It is happening tonight on a full moon.

Speaking of Selene, the human that she ‘possessed’ was feeling weak after the extraction of Selene’s soul and had to stay on bed rest for observation. Her name is Aurora and she is already in love with Malakai. They haven’t mated yet because he is afraid that she is still too weak. She also decided that she wants to be turned into a werewolf so their first mating and marking must be on a full moon.

She and Malakai occupy the room that she was in when she was in a moon coma. They haven’t decided what to do with Malakai’s position as an elder.

We are currently in the office chilling before it’s time to get ready.

“So are you guys nervous about tonight?” I asked them

“A little bit. We haven’t had time to interact with the pack much and we aren’t sure if they are going to accept us as mates or gammas. But I am more excited to announce my mate, honestly. Two years together in the training realm made me realize how much I have lost and now I can’t be happier that Rob has accepted me and gave me a chance.” Ben said looking at Rob lovingly. Rob pecked his lips

“Let’s leave the past behind. What’s important is that now we are together.” Rob said.

“It is true. We all had some mate complications here” Nate said and we all laughed.

“We were discussing your duties while you were gone but decided to talk to you and make the decision together. What do you think you will be the most useful with?” Danny asked them

“We were also thinking about that. Our main priority is protecting your pups. We both feel connected to them somehow and they helped us find each other, well.. more like helped Ben open his eyes” Rob chuckled and Ben nudged him playfully. “Joke aside, we would love to be the pups personal guards and also while training we developed this idea of creating different kind of training for the warriors” Rob continued

“What do you have in mind?” Nate asked.

“Separate the warriors by their best qualities, like trackers, runners, spies, fighters and heavy fighters and also weapon specialists. We would have advanced training for those groups separately to develop those skills further. And also once a week we would organize a special event, we decided to call it “The game”. We would divide the warriors in teams with members from each group and they would have to compete in a challenge-like game. It would be a simulation of a war or a search or another mission that might occur. They would have to work well as a team to win.” Ben explained

“Wow that is a great idea, guys,” I said excitedly.

“We did the best choice for our gammas” Danny said

“Agreed. Also the kids would love to have you around and they can learn from you. You can help them train their gifts, too” I said

“It’s decided then” Nate smiled

“Let’s get ready for tonight. We have your back, so don’t worry. Even if there are some negative reactions, we are together in this” Cary told the gammas and they smiled at her gratefully.

“Oh by the way, we made some changes in the packhouse. As you know the top 5th floor is where I live with my Luna and our pups. The 4th floor is the betta’s and we prepared the west wing of the 3rd floor for you two. You’ve got a 4 bedroom apartment with a living room and kitchen. We only furnished your bedroom so you can set everything to your liking. We will pay for it. Consider it your gamma initiation present.”

“The east wing of the 3rd floor is the common nursery for our pups and yours when you have them and our offices. Yours is next to ours, also waiting to be furnished to your liking” Nate explained.

“Wow, alpha.. I… we don’t know what to say. Thank you so much” Ben said

“It was the girls’ idea, of course,” Nate replied, smiling sheepishly.

“Alright, let’s go get ready” I said with a wink

The full moon was bright and high in the sky. We were all on the stage, Nathaniel and Daniel standing in the front and me and Caroline besides them, slightly behind. Ben and Rob were standing behind us.

“Blue Moon pack.” Nate addressed the pack members. “We are gathered tonight to announce the Gamma couple of our pack. They went under special training and proved themselves to us on many occasions.”

“Ben, Rob, please join us.” Me and Cary stepped aside to make space for them.

There were gasps from pack members, no one expected this.

“Aren’t those the same guys that disobeyed the Betta female on her first day?” someone asked from the crowd.

“Yes, they are. But during their intensive training we managed to iron our differences and we saw in them a great potential. They proved to be worthy on many occasions already.” I replied

“I can assure you that we trust each other and will work together for the better of our pack.” Daniel added

“Gammas are supposed to be the best warriors, how is a gay couple going to lead our fighters?” Someone spat. I saw it was one of Ben’s ex-goons

“You both gave your asses literally so you can share the gamma position. So pathetic.” Another one of Ben’s goons said. Ben and Rob tensed.

“Stand tall, we got your back” I mindlinked them

“Blue Moon Pack, me and my mate, Alpha Nathaniel and Luna Carolina want this pack to prosper. We want to lead you to a great future and make us stronger.” I said on the mic

“This task will not be possible if our packmates are so closed-minded. How does our choice of who to love define our strength?” Cary added

“Ben and I have our past and we didn’t start off well but we got to know each other and we gave each other a second chance in friendship.” I continued

“We trust Ben and Rob with our lives and if any of you think they are stronger and better fit for the title of gamma, they are welcome to challenge one of them, or both.” Cary

“But if you question their capability based on their sexuality, you are welcome to leave the pack as we do not want constipated-minded members. Grow up!” I finished and looked at Nate for his approval.

“I stand by what your Luna and betta female said” Nate said

Ben and Rob puffed their chests proudly and looked at Nate’s eyes asking for permission to speak and he nodded and stepped aside.

“We understand that our relationship might look controversial to some of you, having in mind who I was not too long ago. But I am not ashamed to stand before you today and admit my mistake. I lost precious years being a blind and stubborn son of a b***h, but I am ready to own my mistakes and do my best to make it up in the future.” Ben said

“I am proud of who my mate is and who we have become and we have the best female beta. Her help and support had a huge impact on who we are today. She was there for us despite how we had treated her. We are grateful to our leaders for the opportunity they gave us and also for seeing our potential beyond the assholes that we were.” Rob added

“I am also grateful to Rob for putting up with me all these years and am honored to be called his mate. We will accept any challenge for strength if any of you see us unfit to be gammas, but we ask of you to give us a week before you judge our skills.” Ben said and took Rob’s hand in his and pecked his lips.

Most of the crowd cheered for them. We proceeded with the initiation and then led the pack for a run. We also announced that in a week's time anyone who has doubts about the leadership will be free to speak their mind.
