Liam’s POV

I call Layla’s phone and leave a message for her to call me back. It's been a few days I think she’s avoiding me. Maybe Ang has heard from her.

Alpha Liam: * ML to Ang*

Have you heard from Layla? 

Angelina: *ML to Liam* 

She’s visiting her parents In Ithaca why what’s wrong?

Alpha Liam: *ML to Ang*

Nothing you need to worry about. Send me the address.

Angelina: *ML to Liam* 

Fine but I think I already know.

Alpha Liam: *ML to Ang* 

I doubt that.

Angelina: *ML to Liam*

I bet her dream came true literally speaking, You Marked her.

Alpha Liam: *ML to Ang*

Ang: *ML to Liam*

Yeah so, I’m assuming like in her dream you lost control hmm.

Alpha Liam: *ML to Ang* 

Yeah but it's complicated that's why I need the address so I can go speak with her.

Ang sends me the address and the address and that 

same night I make the drive to Ithaca but not before telling 

my Beta Jake to look after the pack till I am back.

Layla’s POV

It's been a few days since I came here to see my parents 

and find out about our history and obviously to put distance 

between Liam and I. I’m still mad because he marked me, 

but according to the book the mate bonds pull is inviolable 

to wolves especially to Alpha wolves. So, this really isn’t

 his fault I foresaw it and still let it happen. So, I believe him

 when he says he lost control, but I am still going 

bust his chops about it.

According to the book the last wolf in Lycaon’s line

 is a man named Garrett Lykos.

Layla: (Thinking) Should I ask Liam? He did call a few times earlier today.

Mom yells for me to come downstairs 

Linda: Someone is at the door for you.

Layla: I’ll be right there.

I go to the door and to my surprise it’s Liam.

Layla: What are you doing here? And how did you know where I was? 

Alpha Liam: Hi to you too can I come in?

Layla: Answer my question first.

Alpha Liam: I came to talk to you, and I asked Ang for the address. Any other questions?

Layla: I need to talk to you too, and no, you can’t come in right now…

Liam interrupts

Alpha Liam: Listen I know you're mad, but I really need to talk to you.

Layla: This isn’t about me being mad my children are inside. We can talk in the garden.

Alpha Liam: (sighs) Fine.

We walk around back to my parent’s garden and sit on the swing so we can talk. I brought the book so I can better explain things to him.

Layla: Sorry but my kids don't know yet and I still need a couple of days before I can tell them anything.

Alpha Liam: I understand I’m really sorry I put you in this situation without telling you what I was first…

I put my hand up to stop him shaking my head 

Layla: You didn't put me in this situation may be the Marking me without my consent part yes, but according to this book it’s not entirely your fault.

Alpha Liam: So, I’m forgiven?

Layla: Hell no you don't get off that easy 

Alpha Liam: Sorry, what is that book?

Layla: This book is basically about the history of my family and my family’s heritage.

Liam examines the cover of the book pointing

 to the Moon Goddess in the center.

Alpha Liam: is this Selene the Moon Goddess?

Layla: Yes, she is my ancestor I’m from her daughter Luna Lykos’s bloodline, her daughter was human and her son…

Liam interrupts 

Alpha Liam: A wolf I know the myth.

Layla: It's not a myth. Everyone from Luna’s bloodline were all human females no males are ever born from her side till I had CJ same goes for Selene’s son Lycaon only had males no females ever and all werewolves. I am the first to ever to birth both a male and female since Selene herself. So, this was my fate no matter what.

Alpha Liam: I don't understand how?  All you did was have a son.

Layla: Liam look in the book for yourself?

Alpha Liam: You funny this book has blank pages.

Layla: Exactly the words and pictures can only be unlocked with my blood or those of Selene’s bloodline.

I prick my finger with my dagger pendant and touch the page

With my blood as I do the pages fill with words and drawings once more 

Liam reads in shock.

Alpha Liam: Wow this is amazing. So, you're a descendant from Selene. 

Layla: Yes, and My son doesn't have long before he is sixteenth birthday.

Alpha Liam: What do you mean?

I show Liam the logo near CJ’s name and the logo near Lycaon Lykos Selene’s son. 

They are the same. HE gives me a look of understanding 

Alpha Liam: If you don't mind me asking what does this mean for Lena?

Layla: I honestly don't know. But I hope she has a choice.

Alpha I: Me too. I know the Lykos wolves. They live In Virginia; they are the White Fire Wolf Pack. And as for CJ, it would be my honor to prepare him for what is to come if you’ll allow me.

Layla: Thank you I’d appreciate that very much. Have you ever met a Garrett Lykos?

Alpha Liam: Yes, He’s an arrogant asshole.

Layla: So, I’m assuming you guys don’t get along.

Alpha Liam: Actually, were great friends I’m just saying he is an arrogant asshole.

Layla: (Thinking) Oh God not like Marcus.

Liam looks at me with a smirk as if he read my thoughts.

Alpha Liam: Exactly like Marcus.

I roll my eyes

Layla: Great!!!
