GLOWING EYES

Layla’s POV

I’m happy I get a choice now if I want this or not 

but I’m still worried because CJ won’t get that option.

Layla: Hey guys I’m glad your home. I need to know if you have plans for this weekend and if so, can you cancel them?

Both CJ and Lena answer in unison

CJ: No plans why?

Lena: No plans why?

Layla: I want you guys to meet someone I’m talking to.

CJ: Ok what’s his name?

Layla: His name is Liam.

Lena: Ok so how long have you been seeing this Liam guy?

Layla: It's been a few weeks he’s actually my friend Angelina’s older brother.

Just then my stomach starts to feel a little funny.

Lena: Mom you ok?

Layla: I think that steak I ate is not agreeing with me.

I run to the bathroom and throw up everything I ate tonight.

Layla: UGGG

CJ comes into my bathroom and hands me a water

CJ: Maybe the steak wasn’t cooked well.

Layla: Yeah it has been a while since I had Bison meat too maybe it’s just not agreeing with me.

I get up from the toilet to rinse my face under the

Water but when I look up into the mirror I freak out because

My eyes are glowing blue.

Layla: What the f**k???

I close my eyes throwing more water on my face 

Layla: Maybe I’m hallucinating.

I look in the mirror again 

Layla: Nope still blue.

At that moment I call my mom 

She answers on the second ring 

Linda: Hello

Layla: Hello mom. Something is wrong my eyes are glowing blue and I’m freaking out.

Linda: Ok calm down. Has this ever happened before? 

Layla: No obviously I wouldn't be calling you if It did.

Linda: Ok no need for the snarky remark.

Layla: Sorry I’m just freaking out.

Linda: I understand sweetie, Have you tried asking Liam because that's never happened to you or me before, so I don't know.

Layla: No, we had dinner today everything was fine till I got home.

Linda: What do you mean till you got home?

Layla: Well the Bison steak I had didn't agree so well with me and now my eyes are glowing blue.

Linda: Well that is definitely is weird. Why don't you try to sleep it off the call me in the morning to see if your eyes are back to brown.

Layla: Ok thanks Mom

I tried to sleep that night got at least two hours 

of sleep that Bison steak really did a number on my stomach.

Layla’s POV

I woke the next morning exhausted. 

Remembering last night events and go to the bathroom mirror to see 

If my eyes are back to its natural color.

Layla: s**t they’re still blue what am I going to do? I can’t go to work like this.

I texted Ang to see if she can cover for me today since I’m not feeling well.

Angelina: Are you ok?

Layla: Yeah, it's just my stomach has been messed up since last night and I’m exhausted from no sleep.

Angelina: Ok maybe I’ll swing by after work with some soup.

Layla: Thanks, I appreciate it.

Angelina: No problem see you after I’m out of work.

I spent the rest of that day in bed till later that 

same afternoon Ang comes over.

Ang knocks on the door and I let her in.

Angelina: Hey you feeling any better?

Layla: No not really.

Ang sees that my eyes are glowing blue

Angelina: Why? What the f**k Layla?  

Layla: I know I don't know what’s happening to me. Do you know? 

Angelina: No but I’m calling Liam now. Have you spoken to your mom?

Layla: Yes, but she doesn't know either.

Ang calls Liam and tells him to come over to my place immediately.

And to bring our Pack Doctor!

Layla: Why did you tell Liam to bring your Pack Doctor?

Angelina: Because your eyes are glowing blue when your eyes are naturally brown.

And if you go to a normal Doctor’s office, they won’t understand

Layla: I don't blame them I don't even understand.

Liam’s POV 

Ang just calls me, and I can hear the panic in her voice.

*phone call*

Angelina: Hey Alpha I need you to come over to Layla’s ASAP and bring our Pack Doctor

Alpha Liam: Why? What wrong is she ok? 

Angelina: I don't know that's why I need you to bring our Pack Doctor. Liam her eyes are Glowing Blue.

Alpha Liam: We’ll be right over.

What the f**k is going on with her why are her eyes glowing blue. 

I go toward the Pack clinic

Alpha Liam: Lisa are you busy today?

Lisa: No why?

Alpha Liam: It's Layla her eyes are glowing blue 

Lisa: Layla THE WIDOW Layla?

Alpha Liam: Yeah, the same.

Lisa: Isn’t she human?

Alpha Liam: She is actually a direct descendant of Selene.

Lisa: THE MOON GODDESS SELENE?

Alpha Liam: Yes,

Lisa: Well that explains everything except the fact she is still human her eyes shouldn't glow unless … Nah, let’s go check on her first.

Alpha Liam: Unless what?

Lisa: We will know for sure once I am there.

Alpha Liam: Do you think it's what I think it is? I did mark her.

Lisa: It depends because tonight’s a full moon so it can be one of two things we won’t know till I’m there. So, let’s get moving.

Alpha Liam: Watch your tone Lisa I’m still your Alpha
