I was shocked by what Nina said about David spending the night. She closed her locker and turned to look at me. Then I noticed she quickly glanced past me. My guess was that she was looking at David.
“He came over to apologize for being an ass to me,” she said before looking back at me.
“Well, that’s a good thing, right?” I replied.
Nina took a breath. “Yeah, except he also thought kissing me was a mistake,” she added.
This time, I turned my head to look over at where David was. “A mistake?” I said, turning back to Nina. “I’m confused. It was a mistake, but he spent the night? Wait, did his dad come over, and he was there for the night?” I asked her.
Nina shook her head. “No, he walked over on his own and actually climbed in through my window. His dad wasn't there.”
