I didn't answer right away. The truth was I didn't know exactly what I felt for Soraya yet. The mate bond made everything confusing because I couldn't tell what was real emotion and what was just the bond pulling us together like magnets.
But I did know I wanted to protect her. I knew my wolf had claimed her as ours and I knew that losing her would probably destroy me completely.
"It doesn't matter what I feel" I finally said. "She's my mate and I'm keeping her here, that's the end of this discussion."
