Nine

I went downstairs after taking care of my things in the room. I found Misha, Louis and Kenneth sitting on the couch and discussing what to do for dinner since it was already dawn. I sat with them on the couch and basked in the dim, orange light of the sun setting. I had enough time to marvel with the scenery so my mind won't go back to what just happened in my room. "I can call Romano to bring us food here. What do you guys want?" Misha asked while browsing her phone. "You're going to call Romano all the way here?" Louis asked in surprise. "Well, I had Romano drive us here and he's staying in a small cabin near the town's market. My parents made it specifically sure that I won't go out without Romano" she rolled her eyes. Sometimes parents can be really strict. Misha's turning 21 and she still has her chaperone Romano. Not that we hate Romano, he's been wonderful to us, but Misha hated the fact that she can't go anywhere without him. "Chinese?" I suggested. They all snorted to disagree. "I'm thinking of steak and fries. What'd you think?" Misha asked again. Louis and I nodded and looked at Kenneth who's been silent at the side. "Well?" Misha asked Kenneth, raising her brows. "Of course anything.. I'm fine with anything." he nervously answered her. Louis put an arm on his shoulders and shrugged him a little. "You don't have to be shy around us man." he said. We smiled at him and nodded our heads. "We're your friends now Kenneth." I smiled at him and we concluded dinner will be Steak and fries. Misha called Romano to give him the orders and get us food in the town. I walked inside the house looking at antiques, paintings and bookshelves. I looked at the books and decided to go with a fictional book titled Penumbra. I went back to the couch and realized we were missing a few heads in the cabin. "Where are those two?" "They said they were going to run.. Or something" Misha just shrugged and went back to browsing her phone. "Run? It's getting dark don't you think they'd get lost in the woods?" "Don't worry about it babe. They're men, they can sniff they're way back here." she giggled and I smiled back at her joke. I decided to read the book and stop thinking about them. ************** We finished dinner and still Damian and Seb didn't come. I was worried about them but Misha convinced me that they're fine. We just agreed that if they don't come back before midnight we'll be calling the police. I insisted on doing the dishes so as to occupy my mind. Misha, Louis and Kenneth decided to watch a horror film at the living room in their fancy tv set, which was huge by the way. There was a partition from the kitchen to the living room area so I can still hear their movie, and how Misha scream almost every time while they watch. I looked outside the window in front of me while washing a few utensils, knife and fork. Something caught my eyes. It was a night owl and it sat on a tree branch in front of me. It looked at me with its big, rounded, glowing eyes and I found it creepy when it slowly spinned its head while looking at me. I got startled when it flew away with its big wings and winced at the pain on my thumb. I accidentally wounded my thumb with the knife and blood slowly gushed over it. Ah... I looked for a band aid or an alcohol in the drawer. I got a hold on the alcohol but no luck to find a band aid or cotton at least. "What happened?" A voice made me turn around while I held the alcohol and saw Damian shirtless full of sweat. He had ripped abs, much more ripped than that of Louis, his sweat glistening from his bare chest and down to his stomach. I gulped at the sight of this being, and forgot about the pain in my thumb. He only has his pants and shoes, his hair was wet with sweat and brushed up. I darted my eyes back to his face, his brows scrunched, looking at my wounded thumb. He went near me and took my hands to look at the wound. "What were you doing?" his breath smells nice and the distance made me smell his musky woody scent. "I... I was doing the dishes." still looking into his eyes and... lips, he has really thin lips. "No. I meant what gave you this wound." "I saw.. An owl and it flew, I got startled by it." "You were scared of an owl?" his lips turned into a sly smile. "Of course not.. Like I said I was caught off guard." I yanked my hands away as I felt it was burning from his touch. He took my hands again and led me to sit on a chair that was inside the room. He knelt down in front of me and took the alcohol from my hands. He had a night blue handkerchief from his pocket and poured alcohol in it. I yanked my hands away again to stop him. I can't dirty his handkerchief with my blood. He gave me a warning look and slowly damped the cloth to my wounded thumb. He was even blowing it lightly to lessen the pain, but I wasn't feeling any pain, I was just too busy looking at him.  I felt different excitement as he blew my wound. My body heated up at the moment and I didn't have the energy to take my eyes off his handsome face, only inches away from mine. He licked his lips and continued to damp my wounds until the redness of the blood were gone. "Are you going to stare all night?" He whispered with a smile but still focused on my wound. I shyly turned away and resisted to look at him again. That was embarrassing, he caught you. I scolded in my thoughts.  He finished cleaning my wounds and I thought he was going to leave, but instead he stayed there looking at me. He caresses my cheeks slowly, as if I was a fragile thing and then he touches my hair. He brushed my hair with his fingertips and I shuddered from my insides. He caresses the back of my neck and I closed my eyes from the sensation I felt.  Suddenly without any hesitation... He tugged my head close to him and our lips met. Time stopped in a collision of senses when his lips met mine. He kissed me slowly and I felt his desperation in every stroke. I felt my stomach flutter, and I could smell his scent, hypnotizing me to give in. My lips reacted instinctively and I pushed away the rest of the protest I have inside my mind. His kiss shifted from needy to caring. I opened my mouth a bit to make way for his tongue and I heard him moan softly. It made my heart happy when I heard him moan. His fingers traveled on my hair and brushed it ever so lightly. The taste of him made me forget everything. I felt my knees weakened and I was thankful to be sitting on a chair or else I'd fall. When he pulled away slowly from my lips, I saw him gasping for breath and eyes darkening. I also tried to calm my beating heart, as if it ran a race. I watched the tension grow on his face like he was fighting something, then he let out a deep sigh and stood up.  "I'm sorry.." almost a whisper but I heard it, and he went out. I went out when my breathing came back to normal and saw no one in the living room. They must've gone back to their rooms and I was thankful. I don't know how to face them with what happened earlier. I wasn't sure if anyone caught what we did. Misha would probably inspect me and see my lips all swollen from Damian's kiss. I touched my lips once more and shook my head at the thought of it. I headed for my room and locked the door. It was raining snow outside but the news earlier said we would have rays of sun tomorrow. Misha decided during the dinner that we will all be going to the lake tomorrow. How am I supposed to face him tomorrow? I buried my face on the pillow and smiled while reminiscing the kiss.  He kissed me and it made me happy.
