Heath POV
As I stepped into my house after a long day at the company, I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that had been lingering inside me. I had deliberately avoided visiting my mother at her place, and the guilt was slowly starting to creep in. But for now, I just wanted to be alone.
As I entered the living room, the aroma of freshly cooked food wafted from the kitchen, catching me off guard. My heart skipped a beat as I wondered if Zara, the one person I had been trying to avoid thinking about, had come back home.
