Emily's pov In a few days, I will no longer be in Paris. I woke up this morning feeling sad. My dad just got a permanent job transfer to New York. I plan to make the most of my last week here. Chloe is throwing me a farewell party on Friday. My mom and dad are traveling to New York on Thursday to finalize the paperwork for our new apartment, and they'll be back on Saturday. The party is on Friday, so I'll have the house to myself. I'm really going to miss my friends and my boyfriend, Jason. I'm finally ready for school. I can smell the pancakes mom is making. “Good morning everyone” I said to my parents and brother, Michael “Oh my gosh, Mom, the pancakes smell really good and they taste amazing too” I said “ Since it is your last week here, I thought I should make it extra special " Mom said “Emily,if you don't leave now, you and your brother are going be late for school " Dad said Michael and I are in the same grade. He fell really sick last year and had to repeat the year “Michael, let's go” I said “Bye Mom and Dad” Michael said I blew kisses to my parents before we left When we arrived at school, I couldn't help but think about how much I was going to miss this place. I spotted Chloe, my best friend, talking to Stella, my other close friend. "Hi, guys! How are you doing today?" I asked. "I'm not good. I got my period today, and the cramps are killing me," Stella replied. "I'm doing well, but I'm sorry about the cramps, Stella," Chloe said. "Do you want to skip class and go to the clinic?" I suggested “I will probably during PE period” Stella said The first bell just rang, my first class is History, which I really hate. Chloe and I share the same timetable, so she's also in my history class. We make our way to the class, when I spot Jason, my boyfriend, I haven't seen him since last week Friday. We have been together for 3 years now, I have really missed hanging out with him. He just joined the basketball team, and he's constantly busy,but I understand him, he finally found something he's passionate about and I want to be really supportive “Hi babe” I said after I kissed him He messed my hair, smiling “ Hi babe” I grinned " How was basketball practice " “It was stressful as always” he said “Sorry to interrupt, but we're going to be late for class lovebirds” Chloe said “Sorry Chloe” Jason said grinning widely “Also, Emily I want to take you on a date Saturday night before you leave for New York " He said “I can't wait” I said He smilled, leaned down and kissed my forehead. My heart raced immediately. My History class was fascinating today. I learned a lot. It was finally time for P.E. Chloe was still changing, while Stella took my advice and went to the clinic. I sneaked off to meet Jason. He had texted me five minutes earlier, saying he wanted to meet before P.E. class started. He was waiting for me at the bleachers. I spotted him standing beneath them and hurried over. The moment I reached him, I wrapped my arms around him and kissed him. He smiled into the kiss before pulling away. "I've missed kissing you, babe," Jason said with a grin. "I've missed this too," I replied, smiling. "Don't forget our date on Saturday. It's going to be extra special," he said. "Oh, really? I'm looking forward to it," I said. "What are you two doing over there?" a teacher shouted from across the field. "We have to go now," Jason said. I gave him one last quick kiss before hurrying back toward the gym. As I walked away, I couldn't stop smiling. I was already looking forward to the extra-special date Jason had planned for Saturday.
