"So, what are we going to do with this cat then?" Ash asks. We are all inside his bedroom right now. Millie sitting on the study table, while Ash is on his bed and I is on his study chair. All of us looking down in the same direction. There is a cat curling up on Ash's carpet right now, deeply asleep and looking very peaceful. "I mean, I don't mind taking care of him, he's a very decent cat you know," Ash added. Millie gets down on her knees, hands reaching out stroking the cat's head. His whiskers move a little. "Aawww...he's so cute," Millie said. I can't deny it, he is very cute. "Let's keep him, Dan," Millie begged me. I sighed heavily, "we can't keep him, Millie, he already had an owner. Even though she is a ghost, still, Bell belongs to Ivy." She looks back at Bell disappointedly. "Well, what should we do now?" Ash asked again. "We need to return him to Ivy; I had to keep my promise to her. I'll take Bell back to her tomorrow," I stated. "Okay then, for tonight he can sleep here with me," Ash looking at the cat with loving eyes.     "Can I come with you tomorrow?" Millie breaks the silence as we walking back to my house. Ash had insisted for us to just crash at his house, but I refuse since he has already done a lot anyway, especially on taking very good care of Bell. I was shocked when I hear her voice; I had forgotten that Millie is walking with me. I halted for a moment and trying to think, seeing her face gleams with hope, I can't help but smile at her, "Yeah, sure, you can meet with the ghost that I saw in the library too," I eagerly tell her. Her eyes widened and she gasped, "Oooohhh... is it the one you talked to when I was in the library with you?" she asks excitedly. "So...you did saw me talking to her then huh? But, back then when I asked you whether you had seen something or not, you didn't mention this at all," I added with a smirk. She fiddled her fingers, "yeah, I did saw you talking to someone, but I didn't see the person you're talking to. Since I thought you would feel uncomfortable if I said about it, so I decided to just pretend that I didn't see anything," she said almost whispering. "Don't worry about it, I was very grateful though, that you didn't mention it at that time. Thank you," I continued. She wears her usual beautiful smile again, and we started walking again, side by side.     "You had a very nice room," Millie says. We are now inside my room, I was reluctant on asking her to come inside at first, but she argued back, saying that she didn't even bother if it was messy. So, I had no other choice but to let her, besides that she is now a wandering spirit, there's no other place she can go, except with me and I don't mind it at all, I love to have her as a company, at the very least it takes my mind away from thinking about her real situation.     Millie already sitting down on my bed making herself at home. Her eyes roaming around the room, "it's very cosy and very neat," she nodded her head, while her eyes still wandering everywhere. She inhales and said "It also smells very nice too. Is it water lily?" she turned to me. I'm still standing in front of the door like a freaking statue, feeling so damn nervous. I just nodded my head stupidly. "This room is so you, I like it," she said softly with a little smile on her lips. "Thank you," I mumbled. "My mom would nag all day long if I didn't keep my room clean and neat," I added more. She giggled "yeah, my mom too. Aren't all moms are like that?" I just smiled shyly. Then we were stuck in awkward silence. I bet that both of us were in deep thoughts, thinking about the next topic to talk about. I was about to open my mouth when someone knocks on the door. Both of us jumped out of surprise. I immediately open the door and saw mom standing with a full smile and a tray in her hands. She had brought me a glass of milk and choc chip cookies, "I just thought you might want a little late snack."     She made her way in, and put down the tray on my study table then turned around to look at me. I sneak a glance towards Millie on my bed, she's sitting still, didn't even move a little, she might be afraid that my mom might notice her presence in the room. But mom didn't see her at all, except for me. Mom cleared her throat and my focus shifts on her, "I'm sorry for being mad at you. I shouldn't have called you selfish, I wasn't being considerate at all." her hands on her chest now, looking sorry, she never needed to apologize; it is true, I was being selfish.     "Maybe my words back then were harsh and I wanted to apologize for it. It must have been hard, what you going through right now, Danny. I just wanted you to know that you are never alone, me and your dad are always here with you. We love you, Dan," she came forward and pulled me into a very warm embrace. "I love you guys so much too, and I deserved being nagged by you back then. I shouldn't have done that, I'm so sorry too, Mom." I can hear Millie's little sniffles. Mom wipes away her tears and gives me one of her beautiful smiles. "I love you, my little DanDan," and she pinches my right cheek playfully. I take her hands away, feeling embarrassed, "mom, stop it, I'm not 10 years old anymore." Mom pouts sulkily, "Aawww, but you will always be my little DanDan no matter how old you are," and then she giggled. I can feel my face burning hot. No mom, please, not in front of Millie here I thought to myself. "Get a lot of rest tonight," mom kisses me on the head before she leaves. "I like your mom, she's super sweet," Millie said as I close the door. "That was embarrassing," I told her. "No it's not, you are very lucky to have such loving parents, little DanDan, can I call you that too?" she replied with a giggle. I feel like I want to turn invisible at this very moment.
