Episode 3 Mysterious Girl

IMANE

I went back to the packhouse infirmary to check the girl, I and Hirochi saw. She was still asleep because of the medicine the doctor gave.

She actually looked familiar to me. I just can't remember when or where I saw her.

"You know if looks could melt the girl already turn to liquid," Hirochi said.

"I just have a hunch that she is somehow close to us. There is this feeling that we know her. I'm just wondering what happened to her to be washed out to the shore."

"Maybe an old visitor from the neighbor pack? Come on, we need to fix ourselves for Aria's Ceremony, we don't want to be late and make her mad."

I nodded and we left the girl. The doctor and nurse will stay behind until the Alpha gives her speech. I just hope she won't wake up any sooner.

ARIA

I am currently with Iris doing my make-up, we've been here for a couple of hours now.

"Aren't you done yet? we only have half an hour before the ceremony." Lily asked irritatedly.

Lately Lily is annoyingly clingy, though I know it's normal because we are friends but now? She somehow became, what should I call it? Possessive? Not only her but all the girls, I am talking about Imane, Iris, Hazel, Rae, and Aya.

One time Imane tried to pounce and kiss me. The next day Rae and Aya, their twins, throw me to bed and climb over me. Hazel once trapped me in her bedroom and tried to handcuff me to a chair, I need to break and jump out of the window to escape. And Iris? She pricked me with a needle that has tranquilizer on it and just cuddled me until she fell asleep.

Those things happened before the attack. I just sighed hearing them bickering at each other now.

They just all stopped when someone opens the door, "Girls, you know that the Alpha needs to be 15 minutes early for the ceremony right? I know we have speed but please hurry up."

"I'm already done, just going to put up my dress," I said. Hiroshi nodded, she looked at Imane talking with his eyes which I find odd for the two, and went out.

"I'll help you put it on Alpha." Imane said, "I also need to discuss something with you in private."

"Why not talk to her with us here?" Lily ask.

"I need to consult the Alpha first with the matter before telling all of you about it, thank you very much," she said and did a curtsy.

"Tsk" Lily said flicking her tongue and went out, the others bowed their heads and followed Lily.

"What a hard head. Anyway, let's get you on with the dress."

"You're not gonna pounce and try to kiss me again right?"

"No. Of course not! Well if you are willing to give in at least?" she said giggling.

"Just help me with the dress," I said and took off my robe. Imane made an 'ooohhh' sound that made me shake my head.

"So what do you want to talk about?"

"I and Hirochi decided to patrol on the beachside."

"And?"

"We found this familiar girl lying on the shore, full of wounds, dress was torn."

"A rouge?"

"That is the best part, she is not a rogue or a human or a vampire or a witch. She is like us. We smelled her scent even though we are far away. Like she gave it off expecting that someone will help her."

"Giving off your scent is dangerous especially if you are unmated. Where is she?" I said after she zipped up my dress.

"At the infirmary, the doctor is watching over, you can check on her after the ceremony. Look I know telling you this now means trouble for you need to give a speech as the new Alpha but I just want this off on my head okay?"

"What do you mean?" she hesitated a little bit.

"Imane?"

"I made a research on her for a little time before your ceremony and found out that she is one of the guests."

"Who?"

"She is the daughter of your father's friend from Japan, Freya Tanaka."

My heart skipped a beat when I heard the name, I suddenly felt dizzy.

"You okay? This is the reason why I don't want to tell you this but Hirochi is pressuring me because we know she is an old friend of ours, yours to be exact."

"A-are you sure it's her?"

"Yes, I had it confirmed when I called her packhouse earlier. I already told them the situation. Her parents are on their way here."

"What's bothering me is how she ends up on the shore? It's unlikely for her to be on a cruise. She is afraid of boats."

"That is what we are investigating now. Alpha, we need to be alert."

"Tell all the guards to keep alert at all times. We don't want any casualty if troubles breakthrough. Assign 4 guards to the infirmary, we need to secure her safety. We don't want to offend the Tanaka."

"Yes, Alpha. Shall we proceed now?"

"Yes."

We walked out of my room and went straight to the hall.

"Announcing that the Alpha is on her way!" one of the guards said when he saw us approaching the hall.

When we got inside, it is like we are in another world. A mix of forest and elegant modern theme.

"Alpha."

"Beta."

He took my hand and lead me up to the stage. There I met the Elders. One of them holds a Golden Chalice and a book.

"Miss Aria Hendrick please step forward, put your left hand on top of this book, right hand on your chest and make your vow as the new Alpha."

I did what he told, "I Aria Hendrick, solemnly vow as the new Alpha of Red Crescent Moon Pack, to be strong, faithful, caring, and see everyone in an equal way. I will judge all the situations wisely. I will protect everyone until my last breath and make sure their safety is my priority. In the time that I found my partner in life, my mate, I will make sure to love and make our life happy. This is my vow in front of my pack, in front of the elders, in our late Luna and Alpha's soul who are now resting in peace, in front of our Beta and Gamma." I said with my head held high.

"And now the Chalice, please give yourself a little cut on the palm and let the blood drip on the Chalice. This will make us proof you made a vow and accepted your title as an Alpha of your pack."

I did cut my palm and let the blood drip on the Chalice. It's no ordinary one. It is one of the magical relics that the wolves have in possession. Generations by Generations is used for this ceremony only. Other creatures also have this kind of relic.

Once the blood touched the bottom of the Chalice, I felt a surge of power like I was connected to everyone in my pack.

"And now the shifting." everyone murmured. I almost forgot. Only those who came to our rescue saw me on my wolf form.

Imane led me backstage to change my dress to the robe, not wearing anything. We went out to the stage again and shift to my wolf.

'Ruby, are you ready?'

'As always, milady.'

We shifted and heard everyone gasped in awe when they saw my perfect red and white wolf, even the Elders was astonished.

"Red Crescent Moon Pack, I now give you! Your new Alpha! Alpha Aria Hendrick!" the Beta said making everyone turn back to reality.

Everyone gave us a round of applause as the Elders announced me as the new Alpha.
