"Got a good cash grab today Order, enough for a weeks worth of food and a movie." the redheaded Angel grinned at his Demon twin, the blond sighed heavily and ran a clawed hand through his sun kissed hair. While Order loved his brother to a fault, Chaos had been pushing his limits lately. Stealing. Breaking and entering. Hijacking a firetruck and using it to paint a building. Not to mention a number of other crimes and misdemeanors that always ended up with Chaos nearly going to jail. At the rate he was going Order would run out of favors and excuses to legally keep his brother out of jail, trying to protect the trouble making Angel was giving him a headache and threatening his job at the police station. If his brother didn't get this new impulse to steal under control then Order would lose his job and only source of income.
Order sighed heavily and decided to put off scolding his brother long enough for him to go outside of their shared apartment and have a smoke, try to calm himself down and forget some of the stress he was currently under, Chaos was still babbling excitedly about his recent pick pocketing success he eventually stopped talking however when he noticed that his brother was not only not listening to him, he was also leaving the room. "Order?" Chaos questioned, following his brother outside and watching him take a pack of cigarettes out of his back pocket. His expression quickly turned to horror. "Your smoking?" he asked, completely shocked as his law abiding, goodie two shoes brother lit a white stick of pure death and took a long inhale, his eyes closing for a moment as the smoke filled his lungs and he slowly started to relax. Effectively ignoring his twin brother as he leaved his forearms on the balcony railing of their apartment and watched the city below, blowing out smoke after a few moments. "I cant believe your smoking! do you have any idea how bad that is for you??"
"Kass dosnt mind." Order snapped back at his brother, frowning at him as he flicked the ash away and put the cigarette to his lips again. At the mention of the girlfriend Chaos scowled and sat on the balcony beside his brother, Order and Kass had gotten together about a week before Chaos had gone on his crime spree. The two had been dating for almost a solid three months now, Order sometimes slept over at her house when he had a day off work. He had once invited Kass to sleep over at the apartment he shared with his brother and to meet him for the first time but the two started hating each other immediately after Kass had stepped in the door. Ever since then Chaos had been so hostile towards Kass that Order had asked her to stop coming over because he was worried his brother might attack her.
"just because your girlfriend dosnt hate the fact that your smoking does not mean you should do it. It could kill you and then when you came back you'd be stuck with a bunch of health problems!" Chaos scolded his brother for being so careless with his health, he knew this was going to come back to bite him in the ass later but right now he cared less about it and more about his brother. "I just… I can't believe your smoking. You know better!"
"I know better? I KNOW better? How about you? You've been getting your rocks off stealing from people, im a police officer, its my job to bring people like you to jail and I might lose my job because I have to keep you out of it!" Order hit the railing in frustration with the hand not holding his cigarette, the metal railing suffered for this and dented quite badly under his hand.
“I don't know why you've been stealing things, I make enough money with my job to keep us both in this apartment, you could easily get a job and help out if you wanted to but no, you have to steal. I just cant understand why!” Order sighed heavily and flicked the ash away on his cigarette, taking one last taste of the smoke he put out the cigarette in his scaled hand and went back into the apartment to throw it out.
Chaos stared at his brother for a few moments, feeling ashamed of himself for causing his brother so much stress. The Angel sighed heavily, resting his arms on the dented balcony railing he stared out over the city, lights below twinkling happily up at the young Angel. Taking a heavy breath Chaos pushed himself up and put one leg over the railing, the other leg sooned joined it and the only thing keeping him from falling was his hold on the railing. The metal of the bottom railing was cold against his feet, the gentle breeze caressed his cheek, its sweet whispers promising freedom from his thoughts.
His grip on the railing slackened, closing his eyes the Angel took another breath, and let go of the railing completely.
