part two: Falling for you

Falling… for most people it’s a terrifying thing. But for some… it’s a feeling of pure freedom. Fredom was what Chaos felt as his body fell through the air, his eyes still closed, it was so tempting to keep them shut, just let himself hit the pavement and rid himself of his troubles for a few days until his soul had healed enough to regenerate his body. Thanks to his parentage, he unlike other angels, was able to keep his original body after he died, he didn’t need to be reborn into another body. Personally he was glad for that, he liked his family just how it was.

Feeling a slight change in the air temperature around him Chaos opened his eyes and, without hesitating. Forced his wings to rip through his shirt and open, catching the air and sending the redheaded Angel shooting forward down the street, using his wings to skillfully avoid the cars and people close by he took the first chance he had to escape the tight confines of the streets and headed skyward. Able to finally spread his wings fully the angel breathed a sigh of relief, he usually was forced to stay on the ground most days, being able to spread his wings and breath in the fresh night air was a welcome pleasure, the air always called to him like this, he loved the feeling of being able to fly. If he could he would of done it forever but… something kept calling him back to the ground, or rather, someone.

Chaos raised his wings, both nearly touching before he flapped them hard and shot up in altitude like a rocket. He burst through a fluffy cloud after only a couple minutes, his breath came out in icy puffs, he lowered himself carefully onto the cloud beneath him, his feet touching the solid cloud and holding him up with ease. Walking over towards the edge Chaos sat down and pulled one leg to his chest, resting his chin on top of it while he stared down at the city far below.

He didn’t know how his life had come to this, it had been fine a few months ago, he and Order had been having fun and working together on the police force. Although while Order had been a field officer Chaos was mostly doing paperwork and filing. The twins had been happy and closer then ever… and then Order had met… her…

Chaos growled at the mere thought of that human girl, he knew it was unfair to hate her just for being with his brother but he honestly couldn’t help it. He had tried to be happy for his brother but… when he saw them together… he couldn’t help the pure rage that built up inside him. His own sudden anger around her terrified him, Orders girlfriend was only a human, one hit and they wouldn’t get back up. Chaos had quickly quit his job at the police station when Kass started coming around every afternoon on her lunch break to visit Order. He had come so close to actually hurting her then that he had panicked and forced himself as far away from her as possible… but he hadnt been able to leave his brother behind. So for now he was still living in their shared apartment, using his savings and his thieving skills to pay his half of the rent and bills, he had managed to keep himself from trying to kill his brothers girlfriend but only because he avoided her.

Chaos sighed heavily and laid back against the cloud, ever since he quit the force he and Order had been growing more and more distant. They rarely talked to each other anymore, Order was just so busy at work and Chaos was busy trying not to go hurt every person he saw his brother talking to, his instant hate had started with Kass and in the months following it had expanded to everyone. Things were getting out of control.

Chaos sighed heavily and took his phone out of his pocket, turning it on he smiled softly at his favorite picture of him and Order. It had been on their birthday, they had both gotten drunk and had fallen asleep tangled in each other, one of their friends… well, quite a few of them actually, had snapped a photo of the two and sent them to the twins. Order thought it was hilarious and he had kept the picture as his lock screen ever since, so had Chaos. Entering his code the angel pulled up his list of contacts on his phone. He scrolled through them, smiling softly as he looked at the names of all his friends, he paused as he spotted a contact with two names on it Chaos hesitated for only a second to press the button and call the phone number.

It rang once.

It range twice.

And then just as it was about to ring a third time someone answered it, they sounded as if they had just woken up, it made Chaos smile. “hey dad, its Chaos. Is mom around? I was hoping to come visit you guys for a little bit this week”

Hearing the silly nickname his father chuckled and yawned. "Yeah, I think he fell asleep working again, I tried to get him to come to bed earlier but you know how he gets when he's pregnant, I'm glad this one is a single, I don't think I can handle another set of twin boys so soon." The older angel chuckled. "between you two, Kodi and Zodi I think I've had my fill of twins for a few centuries."

"Really? Well I guess ill keep the results of my ultrasound to myself then~" Chaos teased his dad, the old man chuckled for a moment before going quiet.

"Your not actually pregnant are you? Your mom will kill us if he finds out you found out you got pregnant and told me before him-hey-kai!” Another man suddenly spoke on the phone.

“YOUR PREGNANT?!?” Chaos mother yelled, the male sounding surprised and excited..
