Gatlin decided to remain at the camp until her going away party. Whenever someone officially leaves the pack they would throw a party for them no doubt she would have to spend the next few days prepping herself for her mothers no doubt fake teary farewell. She couldn't help but nervously fidget with the necklace that rests on her chest. The restless thoughts parading throughout her mind wouldn't stop troubling her and the fact that Gatlin was standing on Jaxon's doorstep. He never returned to training after failing so going to his home was most likely where to find him. Gatlin didn't realise how little she ventured around the pack till making her way to Jaxon's house it was a small place at the edge of the territory on the opposite side of the camp, practically a little wooden cabin that sat in the middle of a partially cleared out area just mostly still surrounded by trees. Gatlin finally raised her fist and knocked at the wooden door it remained silent for a moment before stumbling and groaning was heard on the other side if she didn't know any better she could have sworn a zombie was inside "just a minute" a raspy voice called out she was a little taken back when the door opened revealing a young woman on the other side. Make-up smeared so much the eyeliner now smudged and making her look like a panda which stood out immensely against her blonde hair and pale skin "can I help you?" the girl questioned eyeing Gatlin curiously. "Umm... Is Mar-- Is Jaxon here?" she stammered not expecting to be greeted by a half-naked woman. "Yeah, I will get him" the girl grumbled before turning on her heel and slamming the door in Gatlin's face. Another few moments later till finally Jaxon appeared dishevelled, unshaven and reeking of alcohol stepped up to the doorway. "Ah hi..." Gatlin greeted unsure how to speak to the usually chipper man but who was looking particularly solemn. "Hey" he grumbled in response crossing his arms over his bare, tanned torso. "I heard about what happened... I just wanted to check on you see if everything is okay" however as soon as she spoke Jaxon gave a very pointed look as though even asking was pointless "look I know how it feels--" But Jaxon was quick to cut her off with a scoff "what do you know?" that usually fun-loving person was seemingly gone is his what seemed to be hungover stooper "please, Pryce what do you know?" he rubbed roughly at his still tired-looking face "you have everything family, friends, your life is exactly on the path to what you want f**k you've even got a mate that even though has messed up still fawns after you what the f**k would you possibly know cause I would love to hear it" those brown eyes were hard and bloodshot. It was Gatlin's turn to scoff now at his sudden outburst "first of all I came here to see how you're doing and to check your okay after what happened" Gatlin couldn't help but let her teeth grind together she understood his frustration but his lashing out she wouldn't take "and secondly f**k you, you clearly don't know anything about my life you have no right to judge it." "You're right I don't know you like you don't know me" shaking his head he slumped his large statured body against the doorway before giving a half-hearted smile "I'm a screw up it's what I do... What do you want me to say? I messed up like I always do ask the Alpha he would completely agree, don't know why I expected it to be any different." "And you're here just throwing yourself a pity party?" Gatlin's sympathy had flown right out the door over the situation. "Its not a pity party, Pryce" he grumbled out. "Looks like it to me" shaking her head she stepped back from the doorway "you're right though the Alpha does think you're a screw-up he was actually worried about me that I cared about you." "Well he's not wrong" as much he tried to carelessly shrug it off his saddened eyes gave him away over the whole matter. The anger they once held was gone and now just sad pools remained. "Pathetic, you trained so hard to what? Give up? If you want something fight for it because acting like this won't get you anywhere” with a sigh she turned and began walking away. "Do you though?" he suddenly called out "care about me that is?" there was genuine curiosity over the question. Gatlin stopped a few feet away keeping her back to him as she answered: "not like this" was all she said before continuing to leave and not bothering to glance back.
